Uhhh the amount of sh1tting Ward takes despite being arguably the best SMW perhaps ever for just about anything. did you really say "perhaps best SMW ever"? Lool. U joking right? He didn't even win the super 6.
It was a close fight. Badou didn't do anything for the first few rounds. Overall He definitely looked better than Stevenson but if you score round by round, it's a very close fight.
I have been rooting for Danny Jacobs since his fight against GGG as I thought he showed heart and fought a great fight. But I am starting to get tired of him complaining every time. 1st of all the KD was legit. Secondly I don't remember him hurting triple G. Now he talks about KO him in the rematch. Did he land some nice combos? Yeah. But I don't remember him hurting triple G. They fought a close fight that I personally scored for GGG. I would like to see a rematch but Jacobs please you didn't get robbed so stop crying...
If this fight happens it'll be the first legitimate good opponent vasyl lomachenko has fought,
Really?? So Gary Russell Jr and Nicholas Walters were not legitimate. You guys are killing me with your lack of objectivity.
I was going to post in the other thread that Oscar really needs to shut the fuk up and stop going public about negotiations before he ruins everything. Just leave it alone why must he run to the boxing media. I know he can't wait to announce the fight but it was the same thing last time, he kept running to the media I guess that is his way of trying to rush Cotto to sign?
STFU Oscar!
Can't blame Oscar for this delay. Cotto and his team are known for being divas during fights' negotiations.
DLH did GGG vs Lemieux with no issues
Judah was a 2 division champion, and was undisputed at welter while broner held a few shady "world titles " like the one he beat Paulie for. All his other titles were for vacant belts Judah also gave prime versions of Floyd and Cotto very tough fights. That's more impressive than going the distance vs maidana and porter while offering only minimal resistance. Nice try defending him tho.
Agreed 💯. People forget that Judah was an undisputed champ in an era when there weren't many paper champs...
It appears that many people really believe that GGG got exposed by Jacobs. So did Kovalev expose Ward in their 1st fight? Did Castillo expose Floyd? People forget that styles make fight. We are not giving enough credit to Jacobs for fighting the perfect fight against GGG. Unlike Canelo, Jacobs is a big, tall and strong middleweight who can really punch. Don't get me wrong...Canelo is a very skilled fighter but the Chavez's fight made him look better than what he really is. I am sure he would have struggled or perhaps lost against Jacobs too...
Based on what I have heard from GBP over the past few days, I don't think the Canelo vs. GGG fight is gonna happen anytime soon. GGG should just fight BJS and maybe move up. Otherwise he's gonna end up like Khan wasting time chasing big fights.
Just raid all the crack houses in the project's, he will be there somewhere.
Dude, chill out...i ignored you the 1st time but you keep posting racist stuff. Some of us still come here to discuss boxing ONLY. I know that I am probably waisting my time addressing trollers like you but it's getting to the point where this site is not fun anymore...
Canelo (last year): "Mexicans don't F... around"
-> a month later, he dropped the belt.
Canelo (last week): "We never talk about Golovkin..."
-> a few days later, "GGG...Blah blah blah..."
I have seen this movie before. I am tired of that ish...It's just time to put up or shut up...
Stevens may have sparred with Jacobs since they are both from BK. I think the GGG vs. Jacobs will be a good fight. Both fighters hit hard. Jacobs has faster hands and GGG has better balance and a better jab. If GGG is patient and uses his jab the he wins imo but if he is reckless like he was against Brook then Jacobs is a live dog.
It's true of course Ingle stopped the fight we all saw it but had it have been Golovkin who sustained the injury (which it could quite easily have been the way Brook was finding him!) then Abel hopefully would have stopped it .Yes there's a 'L' on the record but it still doesn't change the fact that Brook hit Golovkin more than anyone (apart from Jacobs!) and for this to come from a welterweight that must give even Canelo some hope for the future.
This conversation has nothing to do with Canelo but since we are on the subject, should GGG also be encouraged that Amir Khan was having success earlier in his fight with Canelo?
I am a fan of both. So I didn't care about the winner. Canelo surprised me with his defense. I was disappointed that GGG didn't go to the body. That being said I had GGG winning 8-4. I can see 7-5 if you give all the close rounds to Canelo but it is still not enough for him to win the fight. I thought Canelo looked good for 30 maybe 45 sec per round but GGG was consistent for 2 min. However I think Canelo would be the favorite in the rematch.
I don't believe Mike, this sociopath has no credibility and the fact that he profits off of headlines to stay relevant in the mainstream may be his motive to fabricate child-hood stories, however the time period in his life that Tyson would assault and robbed senior citizens ( namely Grannys ) when he would offered to 'help' them carry their groceries I do believe to be true because its consistent with his criminal history.
This man is a low-life and a prime example of how our criminal justice system has failed us. How people consider him an idol is perplexing and disgusting.
I understand that you have no respect for Mike Tyson but why would someone lie about having been molested? Even if he wanted to 'lie' about it, wouldn't it make sense to do it during his rape trial to get some sympathy from the jury? Why wait when you have a 'cleaner' image to lie about it?
Dude, a good friend of mine was molested as a kid. Unless you experienced it yourself, you have no idea how it affects a person...
He has a great jab...
Finisher? Eh...
Against guys like Vanes and Monroe...not against other elites. He couldn't finish Jacobs or Canelo.
I think you misunderstood what he meant by "best finisher". He didn't mean KOing every opponent his fight. It's more about what a fighter does after he has another fighter hurt.
Really? Wow! I don't know. He's already 28. I think the difference between Canelo and GGG is that Canelo has faced so many styles, that his game kept improving, while GGG remained stagnant. He might not remain champion, but I think Canelo has at least 8 more elite level fights in him! Now because he's made so much money, he might just bounce at 30 as you suggest!
The difference between Canelo and GGG is their age...GGG had more than 300 amateur fights. I am sure he also faced different styles
Dana White is supposed to defend this fight. Bob Arum is an a$$ but he is right. This fight is just a circus, a spectacle. Connor has no chances. I will watch it for free and pay the Canelo vs GGG one.
Diaz looked mediocre at best. Got hit too much. The better guys at the weight will do damage on him.
It is true. With the same performance vs LSC, Lomo etc, the guy would be overwhelmed by mid rounds tops. He's on the road to being a top fighter, but he certainly isn't there yet. Velez made him work, which is good, but Diaz made many mistakes last night. Plus he doesn't have the power to keep the top guys off him. He's at a crossroads and needs to step his game way up if he wants the top honors. Newsflash: Don't believe HBO or Showtime commentary. That's designed to build interest in what they're investing in.
I have been watching boxing for 20+ years, I don't need HBO or Showtime to know if a guy boxed well or not. You guys realized he was still a prospect until last night, right? Nobody was talking about him fighting Lomo until last night. The fact that we are even mentioning that fight today is because Diaz looked good. He won at least 80% of the rounds in a fight that was supposed to be 50/50. Let him get a couple of fights with top contenders before we can even talk about a fight with Lomo.
I know styles make fights. I won't disagree with Monroe 'cause he did a good job breaking that fight but in his last 5 fights, Canelo fought Chavez jr, Liam Smith, Amir Khan, Cotto and Kirkland. I don't know about you but I think GGG stops all of them inside 8. On the other side, I would pick Jacobs to beat Canelo if they fight today. GBP did an excellent job matching Canelo with the guys above and he did what he had to do but GGG is a different story. I will be shocked if Canelo KO him. GGG has never been dropped as an amateur and as a professional
It should be a good fight... can't wait...
stuck to their principles? lol.....go look at what really happened and take off your lil g glasses
if canelo fights Jacobs its a dangerous/good fight for him(although I still have serious doubts it comes off)....and canelo will look good by just taking the fight
meanwhile lil g will be stuck with tough mandos for peanuts....and they might not see canelo again=bad move...no other way you can spin it...if it turns out like I just described that is horrible for golovkin
Dude first of all, the fact that I don't agree with you doesn't make me a GGG fan. I am just stating facts. I actually don't care about the rematch anyway.
Quite frankly I don't care how much money a fighter makes. All I care about is for the top fighters to fight each others.
Besides I am sure GGG or Canelo is gonna be fine financially no matter what. Doesn't GGG have endorsements with Hublot and Air Jordan? I am pretty sure he has enough money to be happy.
