"witness statements"
well, I've got Wilder saying he was hit in the back of the head, and I've got you saying that he didn't see it, but we need to believe witness statements.
hmmmmm

Wonder if they'll ever rematch in the pros. Maybe after Romanov is through his can crushing phase of the start of his pro career.
Romanov is 14-0, so there's no reason why they can't fight and Wilder can avenge that loss from the amatuers.
I'm just wondering whether someone like Ruiz, Whyte or even a youngster like Dubois could check that chin?
:haha: all these sad British fans crack me up
Poor ol' Fury is going night night
maybe ... wilder does have the equalizer ... but he's going to lose every second of the fight until that point ... if Fury sits down on his punches who knows we might see the chicken dance
''Wilder getting knocked out''
Did I miss it or has getting knocked out been redefined ?
And what in the fu ck does some old ass amateur fight have to do with anything ?
Lame
yes ... chicken dance = knocked out
old amatuer fight ... who cares ... it was wilders' chin that got cracked
Way to dig up an amateur fight from 12 years ago like the world didn't just see Joshua get KTFO 6 months ago.
What's this got to do with Joshua ... he's definitely chinny.
The old saying goes you can't add muscle to the chin ... so it doesn't matter when he got knocked out it's a warning sign for the future, and so far so good (minus Harold Sconiers) in the pros, but i'm not convinced he can take a good shot
Because nobody on this site makes an anti Wilder thread without it being to prop up Joshua. Just like nobody makes an anti Joshua thread without propping up Wilder. It's a daily occurrence.
And I've never heard that saying, probably because trainers don't say that. Most think that the "chin" thing is more of a mind thing than anything.
But if you look at Wilder in the ams, when he was competing at HW (Cruiserweight, >200lbs) and look at him now, his neck is significantly bigger, which would absorb those blows. If you're not convinced he can take a shot, fine. But he's had 40+ fights in the heavyweight division and I've never seen him dropped as a pro.
PS - Bermane Stiverne was considered to be a very hard hitting counter puncher. He was the #2 ranked Heavyweight at the time Wilder fought him also.
Everyone on Stivernes record was a bum ... Wilder fought scared in the first fight and kept it at a distance (maybe he didn't have the same confidence in his chin as you do), the second fight, that was almost murder.
Wilder struggled in both fights against Ortiz, his chin definitely showed weakness in the first fight.
Wilder got dropped heavy and survived a slow count against Harold Sconiers.
Yes that's the joke apart from goofy Russian references. My resolution this year is to be less of a condescending smug know it all ******* so I'm trying to start already lol.
if it's working for you, there's no need to change
He needs to be 40-0 first after beating up ever Russian waiting in the bread line. Only after knocking over all the borscht cans.
lol ... wilder's built his career on knocking out cans ... everone on wilders resume bar ortiz and fury are cans
You seen it? Or just repeating what every hearniac says on here?
And yeah, everyone’s a bum. I get it.
I wasn't there ask Wilder ...
"Early in my career, I got dropped," Wilder told The Opening Kickoff on WNSP-FM 105.5 in Mobile, Alabama. "I got a rabbit punch in the back of the neck. When the punch happened instantly my neck started to swell. There was a knot back there. It was a black out-type of feeling. By the time I got back up, the ref was in my face and I was like, "what's going on?'"
Bum Squaaaaaaad
I've seen that quote....So where in that does it mention that it was a legit KD, or that he has a questionable chin? I assume you know what a rabbit punch is?
you've seen the quote ... have you read it?
he was going to black-out, when he got up he was like, what's going on? ... if he didn't know what was going on the fight should have been stopped!
(the ref was counting ... so it's a legit knockdown ... the video of the fight has dissapeared ... so you're going to have to go on witness statements)
To a few certain people on this forum... that isn't even a real fight...
about 80% of wilder's record weren't real fights

Again the "reasons" are not relevant to this thread. I'll make that thread another day.
well i wish you luck in your search for pictures of handshakes
salam
last time i checked the weight wasn't an issue.
thought both sides agreed. thought both sides said they'll make the weight.
it only seems to be an issue to people on the internet.
its all good, just want too see both fighters at their best so maybe we can have an entertaining, competitive fight
why do fighters ask for different gloves?
enter the ring last?
ask for difference size ring?
they always ask for **** , sometimes it makes a slight difference , sometimes it doesn't.
i still don't understand how pac fighting at 150 is somehow an advantage for pac.
it's not an advantage for pac who can still fight at 140 , 147.
it's just less of an advantage for the guy who is bigger.
you seem like a knowledgeable boxing fan, the question was
if weight is not an issue...why is the fight not happening at 154?
can i have an answer
byrd went from heavyweight to 175.
same for jones.
no case there.
closest you come to making a point is delahoya since he was fighting at 150-154 regularly and had to go to 147.
even then it wouldn't have matter tbh. at that stage of oscar's career the fight could have been 154 and he probably still would of lost to pacquiao.
if weight is not an issue...why is the fight not happening at 154?
in the last six fights pacman has had 6 one sided victories and has hardly lost a round and pretty much destroyed his opponents.
although JMM lost his last fight to pacman he came close to winning and won more rounds in one fight than pacman's next 6 opponents managed combined.
either pacman has made massive improvements?...or...his opponents were not quite up to the challenge? only one way to find out, fight JMM!
hopefully the fight gets made
but i feel that this is the first move on the chessboard, a very good move and pacmans team know floyds next move...he will demand more this time round
this will make pacman look good, and make it look like he wants the fight
it will make floyd look bad, and make it look like he doesnt want the fight due to his demands
hopefully they both want to fight, if they do it should get made
if they dont, the whole ducking and PEDs scenario starts all over again.
well that pretty much proved that while Haye is decent his power doesn't even come close to any true heavyweight punchers of yore or today (The Klitschkos)
The only way he was able to even dent Ruiz is through constant illegal blows to the back of the head
haye must have pretty good power, he dropped ruiz within 30 seconds
i didnt see any illegal blows in the first knockdown, did u?:ugh:
