Khan goes into this fight with alot of confidence steming from his previous fights this year as well as having the current best coaching team in his corner (Roach & Ariza) and the confidence of training alongside Manny throughout the year. Combined with his handspeed and growing experience I believe this will be enough to overcome Peterson who is no pushover. If he looks good in achieving the W, then all sceptics will have to acknowledge him as getting that step closer to becoming a global elite boxer. In my opinion he does not yet fall into that group (Floyd, Pacman, Froch, Ward, Martinez) but with a couple of good performances he should be at that level in the new year.
Its a good fight for Khan. The reason being is first and foremost Khan has the style to beat senchenko and begin to getting back on track towards his title ambitions. Another reason is that it gives Khan the opportunity to win some of the UK fans over - especially after Senchenko took out Hatton. If Khan can get some of the many thousands of Hatton fans onto his train, then its a massive boost to his support base.
Even though Margirito has an iron will - Mannys speed will be too much for even his solid chin.
Arum needs to forget these predictable fights and focus on bringing Mayweather to the table..
Khan aint stupid - he knows how quick you can lose everything in this game so he is working the percentages in his favour to gain invaluable experience and US exposure before he steps-up to the more competitive fighters. Aint nothing wrong with a young prospect putting notable notches on his belt and working the learning curve before stepping in with killerz.....stop hating bytches and try and look at things from a holistic perspective.
Agreed.....dont see what he achieves by taking time away from training or resting in order to wear some nasty looking footwear and a 'Del-boy' esque jacket!
Having said that I do believe the boy has immense boxing skills and has the potential to become an elite level boxer within the next 12-18 months.
