Khan goes into this fight with alot of confidence steming from his previous fights this year as well as having the current best coaching team in his corner (Roach & Ariza) and the confidence of training alongside Manny throughout the year. Combined with his handspeed and growing experience I believe this will be enough to overcome Peterson who is no pushover. If he looks good in achieving the W, then all sceptics will have to acknowledge him as getting that step closer to becoming a global elite boxer. In my opinion he does not yet fall into that group (Floyd, Pacman, Froch, Ward, Martinez) but with a couple of good performances he should be at that level in the new year.
Peterson/Khan should be a good fight and its in Peterson's hometown but if Khan wins aint none of u rooting against him will give him his props unfortunately. All I'm saying is if you think Khan doesnt have "elite skill" ask Tim Bradley, he knows whats up.
Khan beats Berto easy, Ortiz gives him problems tho. Kell Brook and Mike Jones ain't ****. I like Mike Jones but he gets gassed out at the 4th every fight. I couldve knocked Lujan out, he had no guard up and the same slow ass overhand right over and over. Anyway, I dont see anyone but May, or Manny beat Khan at 147.
HAHA are you joking? Khan will beat Berto and Ortiz, im not saying easily but he beats them both.... You guys over the pond are getting hyped up about Mike jones ffs?! Khan and Brook would both beat him eaily...
While I agree that Khan would beat any version of Judah due to his size, speed and strength I disagree with the notion that Khan would beat Ortiz, even Berto. More than likely he could beat Berto and he did beat Ortiz in the Am's, but I think the main thing is the difference in power now. Khan relies on his speed a little too much which makes him quite amateurish anyone with equal height decent timing would probably knock him out just as Prescott did, an don't let his losses fool you, Prescott would probably knock him out again too, which is why Khan is reluctant to fight him. In the case of Ortiz I'd be willing to bet that if Ortiz caught Khan with the same hard right hand to the temple area that sent Floyd buckling into the ropes the 4th rd , Khan would go down hard.. It's amazing the way Floyd took that punch Ortiz clearly put everything he had behind it and caught Floyd square while he was backing away...
This fella is so one-paced it's unreal.
I find him very tough to watch. Though not as tough as Lujan. I'm sure I've seen that Luajan or whatever ever his name was before and he didn't fight like that. I could have taken his punches with the mental throwing technique he had going. You'd get more of a buzz hitting your head on a shelf. My award for woeful performance of the year. It would have been more credible to have a tear-up and get knocked clean out in 20 seconds.
Yeah i found that Jones fight so boring, hadn't seen him fight live before and was looking forward to it, it was 2am i had a girl in bed and she fell asleep so had **** all to do apart from watch that **** !!

yes, but you need skills to make that speed work for you. khan has skills, he just doesnt have elite skills. judahs only problem was his mental weakness. like a said, a PRIME judah would dismantle khan with the greatest of ease.
khan does not beat berto or otiz, let alone floyd or manny...
Prime Judah couldn’t even beat Baldomir. Khan would beat any version of Judah and more than likely make him quit. You are obviously a Khan hater Judahs whole career is a joke.
first off, kotelnik, lol. 2nd, you think khan would stand a chance against a prime judah?? thats laughable.
khan will never be able to compete with the elite fighters at 147, never!
Judah?
Consider Judah. The man is hard to pick.
He would have fancied being able to KO Khan and he got destroyed. Khan vs a young Judah would have been a gun fight - all over in humiliating fashion for one of them quite early on.
Amir is going to prove you lot wrong once again this saturday but he will never get the credit he deserves like most of our British fighters. If he was American imagine what they would be saying?! ha
Well they hailed Jeff Lacy as the next Tyson so the mind boggles at what that would make Khan haha

What laughable is the notion that Judah could win a big fight prime or not. Judah has never been able to beat the elite at any weight 147 or 140 the guy lost to Baldomir. Amir has what the likes of Judah could never posses and that’s the heart of a champion.
At 147 anyone not named Manny or Floyd gets beat by Khan you should know "speed killz"....right?

Khan is enormous at the weight. If he can make it, I don't see why he'd give it up. Brandon Rios has waited until he nearly ended himself before contemplating a move up in weight. It's not like Mayweather will fight him straight away. And all those guys can punch at Welter - he'd have trouble.
I was surprised to hear Peterson say he was a big 140 pounder. He looked miniscule compared to Ortiz. Let's see him next to Khan and then you'll realise the size of the task. I did think style wise counter punchers would be an issue for Khan, but he has beaten the ones he has faced very easily so far: Kotelnik and Judah.

khan is probably the most over rated boxer today. i dono what the big deal about him is. he just has fast hands, no serious skills. he talks like he would beat anyone at 147. i know it wont happen, but if peterson shuts him up i'll be one happy man!
