I would like Angulo to win but if lara comes in the shape he did against Williams he has little chance of winning. Lara is just too slick. I hope Angulo has worked a lot on his stamina. One thing that favors Angulo is Virgil Hunter. If he can follow Hunters advice between rounds he might have a chance. Should be a very good fight.
Margarito vs GGG
That fight will never happen. But if Margarito comes back to fight he must stay away from GGG. Margarito is tall and thin. GGG is knoking everybody out. Margarito does not have the boxing skills to win against GGG. Total Mismatch.
Floyd is an irritating individual. He sees pacman beat a damaged fighter like Cotto and all of a sudden he wants olympic style drug tests. Sounds to me he was scared. Roy Jones Jr. was considered the greatest fighter ever until he got exposed, Floyd Mayweather is better than average but how would he have fared against a prime Sugar Ray Leonard Or Tommy Hearns, I'm sure he would not have taken those fights. As soon as he thinks he might lose he'll come up with a lame excuse of steroid use. Joe Calzaghe was great, Bernard Hopkins is great, Sergio Martinez is great. Floyd fights smaller, slower fighters or who have personal problems. He will get his just like Roy Jones who is a virtual punching bag. What chicken **** finding an excuse not to fight Pacman. How can you put him in the same breath as Muhammed Ali, Leonard, Hearns, Calzaghe. Why don't he go up to fight Martinez like he makes other fighters come up in weight to fight him. right now they don't want to fight mosely because mosely has better reflexes, is fast and hits hard. He's not a quitter. I agree with you completely. Where were the other corners in Margaritos other fights and they did not notice anything wrong. Also, why ban Margarito when he did not even get to use the handwraps. If they thought it was wrong, they would have tried to hide the fact. The ban is total bull...t. I consider the use of steroids which Mosely actually consumed and used against Dela Hoya a worse offense. I consider the ban totally racial.
Speed is a killer along with technique and ring generalship. Urango is strong as a bull but he is slower than Alexander and does not have his technique and ring generalship. I expect to see a fight like Leonard and Hagler. Alexander wins by unanimous decision though. don't see him knocking out Urango. Alexander will hit, run and hang on once he gets hit by Urango. Both hatton and Berto decided to hand on after being hit with Urangos missiles.
Berto keeps it easy
Berto will never beat the top guys in his division. He did not impress with his hit and hold style. I would have taken points away for excessive holding but since he's the one they want to bring up nothing was done. Another John Ruiz and Hatton.

My exact sentiments. Why always pick on smaller guys. He is bigger, and faster than marquez even though technique wise he's not in the same league. Let him fight true welterweights. Berto would probably fight if it was a jr. welterweight. He was given a gift against Collazo and held on for dear life when Urango hit him. He thinks he's a big shot a deserves more. He's lucky to get what he's getting. I remeber Daniel Santos would not take 500,000 dollars to fight Mosely and all of a sudden all of his opportunities were gone. If he would have fought Mosely, even in losing he would have still been marketable. Berto is afraid because he knows his limitations are many. That's why he wants more money. This fight should not be made. De la Hoya may not be the same fighter he use to be but he is much bigger, fast and will be able to take Pacmans punches. When he lands his punches he will hurt Pacman. Is Oscar coming down to 147. Pacman gets tagged a lot and he is not going to be able to back up Oscar. Oscar should fight either Margarito or the Clottey/Judah winner or even Miguel Cotto. This is a total mismatch. I understand the 20 million dollars is a great incentive but health is the greatest wealth.

When Berto fought Juan Urango, the moment he felt Urangos power he started to hit and hold. Boring fighter. Fights smaler men and still needs to hold on. Hope they deduct points from him if he holds Ortiz. If not for the holding, Urango would have beat

Maidana would do well to fight like Marciano. Stalk his man and hit him in the arms shoulders, forearms, doesn't matter. Body attack is paramount. Marciano use to break blood vessels in opponents arms. Maidana has to work all 12 rounds. Have Mayweather backpedal and pin him to the ropes and avoid his dirty tactics.
Urango broke three of hattons ribs in that fight and you could see Hatton wince evertime urango hit him to the body, then he Hatton started to look like John ruiz with his punching and holding. Hatton should have been deducted points for holding excessively. Watch hatton do the same with Pacman. Hit and hold.
Urango will win by K.O. He's younger, stronger, has the longer reach and never been knocked out. Bailey has been knocked out twice. When Urango went up to 147 both Hatton and Berto decided to hit and hold after they felt his power. Nevertheless it probably will be fight of the year candidate as Bailey comes to fight.
Cotto-Geale: When three Pounds is a heavy issue.
Bow out of what? Do you not understand that Cotto's people contacted Geale and said here are the terms, do you want to fight Cotto? Do you not understand that Geale is in no way a mandatory challenger to the Middleweight title? Do you not understand that Geale was in no way shape or form obligated to take this fight, nor agree to the terms of said fight?
Geale took the fight because of the money. Cotto is taking unfair advantage. If he can't fight at middleweight get out of that weight class. He is jeopardizing Geales health. Cotto is good enough to beat Geale at 160 unless he does not feel comfortable at that weight. Will cotto try and make Golovkin fight at 154? I know that fight will never happen unless it's at 160. Cotto needs Golovkin more than Golovkin needs him. When Cotto beats Geale I hope he will fight Alvarez. In the meantime I will watch tonights fight knowing the outcome in advance. I beg to differ. I believe that Hopkins is the best active fighter. Defended the middleweight crown 20 times until they stole it from him against Taylor. Then he goes up and fights a pound for pound best Joe Calzaghe and loses by split decision and goes up to light heavyweight and beats Tarver. Floyd is really a good fighter and there is no one at welterweight who can give him trouble except for Paul Williams. In order to be a fairer fight, Mayweather should drop down to 140. When Manny fought Oscar, Oscar was drained at 147. He would have been beaten by Marquez. Now Floyd is another story. He won't be drained at 147 or 144. That's the only reason I'm giving the edge to Mayweather. He's going to be the physically bigger and stronger fighter amongst his many attributes...At 140 I truly believe Marquez can win. Don't forget that mayweather is faster than marquez and speed kills. They must have given marquez a lot of money to agree on 144 or 147.
