not sure how much usyk got paid for this but if its a lot then he will be happy with a rematch
Most if not all of his pay probably went into Zelensky's pocket
The fact they had it even going into the 11th shows how rigged this fight was. Usyk looked like complete garbage all night and literally landed a dream shot and got a dream stoppage. I knew when Usyk came in at 233 he did not train for this fight. They need to just bite the bullet and bring in AI scoring at this point. As much as I hate AI slop, maybe it will stop the terrible scoring
This fight was so rigged. If you gave Rico a min to recover and he hold off rd 12 he wins the fight. Usyk was getting his arse beat the entire fight. Absolute fixing bullshite
Exactly
I find it amusing that some people think that Usyk dominated the heavyweight division
He went to split decision twice vs Fury & Joshua
Since when has split dec = domination?
The best opponent on his resume is Fury.
Yet many ppl think Fury lost to Ngannou (as novice boxer). Fury won via split decision vs a novice boxer?
I find the HW division to be overrated, as one of the weakest of any era
Fury has a larger than life character, and is good at PR
Let's not confuse skill and popularity
This guy gets it
Ruiz went life and death with Big Baby and has not fought since. This guy has no business being in a ring. Not sure why when all that Saudi money was floating around
He will either fight AJ or Usyk. No other fight makes sense unless he wants to try and pick up a strap from the winner of wardley and dubois. Money wise, these are the only two fights that make any sense and will actually make money
It was a decent fight for what it was but let's be honest...Chisora looked way out of shape and beyond shot...He just showed up for the paycheck. Wilder looked like he was also shot but came in shape, which is why he won. Wilder loses to pretty much anyone other than cab drivers at this point.
Isn't beterbiev like 42 now? The only good thing is that he does not have many miles on him. Bivol is coming off injury and is taking an easy fight to shake off the rust. I honestly have no interest in a 3rd fight.
There is no upside to fighting him. It's only a matter of time before Usyk either retires or gets stripped. I think a lot of guys are just positioning themselves for that scenario.
Im not sure Bakole would, I think he'd get stopped in spectacular fashion.
Yeah he blasts out bakole. Not much out there for him other than title contenders like Kabayel, maybe Parker. Would like to see him fight someone who moves and gives him angles. He will beat anyone if they are just sitting in front of them
I think Beneviedez - Bivol is one of the more interesting fights you can make out there. Both guys are young and both guys throw a ton of punches. I would not put Fury in any discussion when it comes to the most exciting fight in boxing.
It seems like they are trying to build up this fight because Canelo is not fighting so they are trying to make Beneviedez the new face of Mexican boxing
They should just strip him at this point.
The problem is not that there is nobody for him to fight...the problem is none of those people would generate any $$. My guess is they dangled Wilder out there to see what the interest would be. Turned out there was not enough to justify the match from a money standpoint. Kabayel, Wardley do not have enough name recognition. Parker lost so there goes that fight. He already beat DDD and AJ twice. Fury is coming back but again, Usyk beat him twice. Flavor of the month seems to be these weird exhibition fights and fights against you tubers.
It will be Mbilli or Charlo. If Mbilli he gets back a piece of the title. I cannot see Canelo fighting without a title at stake so I am gonna go with that.
