Sadness for Guzman By Lee Bates Jose Nunez, the manager of former two time world champion Joan Guzman, informed ********* that Guzman’s mother, Juana Amaro, passed away late Friday night of a cancerous brain tumor. Per Nunez, Guzman was informed of his mother’s condition during the training camp for his bout against Nate Campbell and was struggling with the thought of losing her. He was currently training in New York but has since departed to his native Dominican Republic , where his mother will be buried. ********* sends out its condolences to the Guzman family.
