I think the point hurricanehardly was trying to get across was the state of the heavyweight division. :boxing: If you read what he (or she) has wrote you will see that they are not trying to start a debate about who was better than who. But the point is that there is not one individual who can stand up there and proclaim to be a great fighter. :Thinkingo

I think you will find the Veit fight was a mandatory defence. As for the so called fake hand injury! If you bothered to watch any fights before you talk crap about them,you will see what happened. Calzaghe throw a punch at the same time as the other fighter ducked and it was then that he broke his hand. The bloke was all ready to be knocked out at that stage! I believe this was in the 4th round. Calzaghe then went on to finish the rest of the 8 rounds boxing one handed. Not one genuine punch was thrown with his left after that and he jabbed his way through the fight. (he's a southpaw if you cant work that one out) :boxing:

In what way is Calzaghe a phoney?(thats how you spell phoney correctly!) All the so called big names have ducked him for years! When he was at his peak a couple of years ago he was rated by most knowledgeable people as one of the best in the world. As for the fight being held outside of the states,what is the big deal about that? That must be where the money is or the promoters would take it elsewhere. Now go crawl back under the stone you came from. you MUPPET.

To go back to hurricanes main point. I think he is right when he says that there are no big fighters to rule the division these days. As much as I rate Toney and I do think he is a fantastic fighter I dont think he is the answer to a weight division that has struggled to catch the publics attention for a long time now. There was even talk of a title shot for the winner of the Skelton/Mcbride fight. Are we that desperate? :boxing:

I'll admit toney is one of the best at the moment. BUT I have read so many stories contradicting what he and his team have said regarding his positive drugs sample that I just dont know how to take the guy.
