You sound like a pathetic, scorned fan girl. Tommy Morrison was a STIFF. No sane person will dispute that. He built his record feasting on saloon barkeeps, aging journeymen and rejects from Middle America tough man contests. As soon as his handlers F'd up and fed him to a live body, he got knocked senseless.
Michael Bennt was a bum who lost his first pro fight, then got destroyed by the immortal Herbie Hide immediately after destroying The Duke in one round.
I get it. You're angry because someone is calling your white knight exactly what he was. I guess you're also in denial about how Morrison died. Go ahead and revise that too...
First off, it's not my fault you look in the mirror every day and hate what you see. Did you even read what I wrote? At what point was I in denial of how he died? I'm assuming reading comprehension isn't your strong suit. You can call him a "stiff" all you want but he did beat George Foreman for a World Title (the same George Foreman who the following year flattened Michael Moorer) and he also stopped Razor Ruddock, so he couldn't have been that bad. Regarding how he "built his record," just like RJJ said, everyone has a "bum cushion." Again, it's pretty pathetic you go through your life hiding behind your keyboard casting aspersions at people who were WAY more accomplished in life than you were or will ever be. I would LOVE to see you insult David Benevidez to his face, but you would never have the stones to do that. I've met him and talked to him and he's a super polite, humble kid who would put you into a COMA.
I guess you missed the Mercer annihilation and the immortal Michael Bennt crushing Tommy inside one round.
I didn't miss anything. I hate to burst your bubble but you're not the world's only boxing fan. A few knockout losses don't change what I said or what he achieved. I never said he was Muhammad Ali. And Morrison's career didn't end with either of those fights. He had 20 more wins after the Mercer fight. And there's no shame in losing to Ray Mercer or Lennox Lewis. The "immortal" Michael Bendt was also one of the most decorated amateurs in the history of American boxing, whose pro career only ended early due to a brain injury. And I simply said I wasn't sure if I expected Torres to achieve what Morrison did or be able to beat some of the guys Morrison did. I stand by what I said and so far I'm correct. I wish him well, hopefully he can make a comeback and have at least as good a career after his first loss/KO loss as Morrison did. You've managed to talk down about and cast aspersions at multiple World Champions in a single thread. If that makes you feel better about yourself, knock yourself out. You're welcome to post up your shining resume any time.
He's way too small to be at heavyweight. In terms of style, he gives me Tommy Morrison vibes, and we all know how Morrison turned out.
How exactly did Morrison "turn out?" He may not have quite been an all time great but he was very exciting to watch coming up and had some good wins over some really good fighters. He consistently ranks as having one of the greatest left hooks in Heavyweight history. He also did win the WBO from George Foreman (and the IBC from Razor Ruddock). Not saying maybe he won't, but are we really expecting Torres to do any of that? It's also unknown when in his career Morrison actually got HIV (his psychiatrist claims Morrison told him it was back in 1989) and what effect that may have had on his career. Torres seems like a nice kid and I wish him the best but I'm not sure if he's going to beat some of the guys Morrison did.
Sad state of affairs that Jarrell Miller is a mandatory for a belt. 10% chance he doesn't piss hot again before his next fight against someone with a pulse.
Only blood sucking Shelly Finkel would ride wilder until the wheels come off in order to make a buck. Wilder is done.? He’s been done!
Wilder will also ride his own wheels off too. I've said it before and I'll say it again, 8 kids from 4 baby mamas spends his money fast.
Bro, you can't get him an ***** phone? Every hood rat and criminal i know from tbe hood has a free ***** phone.
They get a lot more than just free phones
Hope the big guy still has some gas left in the tank. I fear his punch resistance isn't what it used to be after those wars with Wilder. Those fights were like Tyson-Ruddock, they were never the same afterwards. I know he can't fight forever but I worry he won't make a good civilian. Hope he keeps it classy, gets a few more wins and surprises everyone one more time and maybe stays in the sport afterwards maybe training other fighters, etc.
I don't want to stereotype, but if your "woman" is at her "place of work" at 4:15AM, and there's VIP Parking, you might have made a bad choice!
That's exactly what I said in the other post when it mentioned "at her place of work at 4:15am." Elevate your company dip$hit.
Austin Trout's skills really shine in BKFC. I thought DeGale would do the same but while a lot of the skills obviously translate over, BKFC is also quite a bit different than boxing. I'll be there, curious to see how Herring does.
Bare knuckle is freaking brutal. It takes a special type of crazy for that level of brutal. A retire boxer who seems lucky enough to escape with all his facilities intact I am pleased Brook is a few levels below that crazy.
It certainly can be and it is. We go every time it's here at Hard Rock and we love it. It's just condensed violence. Basically like a concentrated version of what you love about boxing and mma. It's not that I like seeing people get beaten to a pulp. I just honestly draw inspiration from how tough many of these guys and girls are. Certainly the superficial damage obviously often looks pretty terrible (and my fav fighter has broken his hands multiple times) and there are certainly easier ways to earn a living. But I'd also say your brain bouncing around in your skull doesn't know the difference if you have gloves on or not and you're probably taking even more punishment in that respect in boxing because the fights are so much longer... I just hope the guys get paid ok for what they go through. I know David Feldman pays double for instance for stuff like "fight of the night" or for particularly brutal back and forth type fights. Some pro boxers like Austin Trout have gone straight to the top. Others like James DeGale looked like they didn't want to be there and I doubt he'll do it again. Though it'll never happen I always wonder how guys like Canelo and GGG would fare in BKFC. I'd love see a well known boxing champion just do it for the hell of it and set shit on it's ear.
It is tough, whether for top fighters or ones that weren't that levelz to retire and feel some purpose is lost.
Tyson Fury has all the money on the world, lovely wife and many, many children. He has the mansion and care, no doubt other property too.
So, I think he would have to adjust what his purpose is, or reasons to get out of bed, as in his family is there.
Also, he must continue his workouts, and perhaps he can be involved as a trainer on a part-time basis.
This exactly. This applies to many professions, not just boxers. Ghandi said happiness lies in contentment. Some people are enlightened enough to have gratitude for the things they were fortunate enough to do and when the time comes move on to new things. They leave behind what they can no longer do and appreciate what they CAN still do and never stop learning and working. Others sit around and get fat and drunk talking about when they were the quarterback on their high school football team... I can certainly understand how it can be near impossible to walk away from something that might be all you've every known. I used to see the old retired guys come by the fire station every morning and I was thinking it was sad that this guy worked his whole life and made it to retirement and despite the fact that he can no longer go on actual calls would still rather be sitting around the station wasting his time than home with his family or fishing or fixing up an old car or going back to school and learning something new. Always worried Fury will have a really hard time once he can't fight (and win) anymore. He said in his book that he had everything-the wife and family, the money, the championship, etc, etc and it still won't fix depression. He was speeding in his Ferrari and almost ended it right there. Hopefully he can find some new meaning and maybe stay around boxing by training younger fighters or doing commentary, etc. No reason he shouldn't. When he's not acting like an ass he has a great personality and is an encyclopedia of boxing. He sadly seems to go to hell once he's not in training for a fight. People at the gym ask me what I'm training for and I simply say "life" and I think that's what he needs to do.
44 year old Cecilia Breakhus beat 27 year old unified champion Ema Kozin in her retirement fight just a few months back.
Yeah I wasn't knocking her I can't believe she's 44.
A few edited holiday shots sweating off a bender with a boxing mate hardly signals a legit comeback, but it satisfies the fat gypsy sausage's need for attention.
I mean, did you see the spare tyre he's hauling around his gut ?
That wasnt a serious workout. It was a 'hold my beer' while i showboat for a few seconds and troll muh fanbois.
Delusional dosser thinks he still got it...lol. Give it up Fury!
Dude was a multiple time World Heavyweight Champion and is worth a couple hundred million dollars. Did you ever "have it?" Or are you just content casting aspersions at champions while you scrub toilets at your 9-5?
No Badou Jack would still beat him like a drum if he could pace himself. Pau doesn't have that good of a gas tank that's why he only fights 8 round bouts.
I said "any sort of chance" I wasn't implying he would beat Jack. But I'll go out on a limb and say he'd have a better chance against a 42 year old Jack than a 35 year old Joshua. I honestly can't think of anyone much more dangerous for him to fight. I'll still believe it when I see it.
“A white dude that shoots his neighbor” hate to break it to you isn’t national news. But an illegal alien that doesn’t belong here, never belonged here, has been on deportation orders for years and was let in with no checks and balances, was caught committing crimes and re released back into society kills an innocent then yes, hate to bust that bubble you live in, is a tragedy. People are sick of it . You don’t get that? You live under a rock?
No they don't get it. Probably never will either.
Not meant to be disrespecful to Jake Paul because I admire what he's done in the amount of time he's done it. Having said that, if he's not getting carried out on a stretcher in the 1st round either dead or in a coma the fight is scripted/fixed. I would've thought he would've went maybe the Badou Jack route as I thought it his best hope of having any sort of chance to win a world title. Still can't believe this is actually happening and will only believe it when I see it. Joshua has enough money to freeze hell over and I can't imagine why he would do this just for the payday when he doesn't need the money.

Excuse me but Lucas Browne pissed hot (one of multiple times) and was stripped of the belt and the bout was ruled a no contest, so no, he was NOT a champion and please stop calling him one.
