yeah well I believe he won the first one. (We are obviously biased for the other fighter). The second won I feel also belonged to him. How do you win a fight by fighting in spurts? Morales pressed the action in both of the first two. How do you answer to being hit that many more times? In both those fights EM out punched him, he was busier and more accurate. I mean he hit him more at just as high a percentage with harder punches.
Barrera beat the Prince, and Morales three times, I think he might have a better record than Sanchez, dont let his loss against Pacman cloud your judgement, Morales would have to beat another great fighter even if he wins against Pacman to make up for losing to Barrera three times, just to get near Sanchez.
I feel that MAB lost the first two fights(second one badly) and that the third it looked like Morales didn't even want to be there. Losing 3 times it is not only an overstatement but a stupid statement. In both of the first two fights not only did he land more but won way more rounds. Just because MAB fought in spurts doesn't make him the winner of either of the first two fights. I admitt Morales looked terrible in his last outing but the fact is he lost at most 2 of the 3 fights, and I still only have one loss on EMs record. So losing 1 out of 3 times to a legend is bad? wow your intellegence is impressive. Sanchez beat 1 all time great. But how many champions has morales dethroned. How many Contenders has he knocked off the list? My point is that he is very good and will show you once again against pacman.
but
Yeah but in my opinion by age 23 he didn't have time to be effected by the wars he had early on. Morales has been threw wars and is starting to be effected by them. I mean by 23 you don't have a chance have a bad fight. I mean my only point is that you could say all you want he never had a chance to have a bad fight in his career, and what Morales has had one by 28 with prolly just as complete a resume. The big question is what if. What if he had a longer career and met some tougher fighters. You can't compare them both because Morales would get criticized for fighting a bum. Sanchez did fight some many in fact, Morales takes hard fight after hard fight. Now we don't want to see a fight wasted on anyone, Morales waits for the next prospect or champ and destroys them. I mean MAB and him have a rivalry and in my opinion he won the first two and had nothing left to prove against him, it didn't even seem as though Morales showed up to the third fight till the 7th round. My point is boxing is different these days, instead of fight after fight, it is well lets wait for a good fighter to come around instead of waste our time. His career ended so soon he didn't really have a chance to get exposed for some of the weakness he might have had. Because his career was cutshort maybe it's the opposite maybe Sanchez may have never accomplished as much as Morales. I'm not saying he's better simply saying that it's two eras and two fighters, and you can't simply cut Morales down because he had one bad showing after so many good ones.
Actually if you watch the fight, Vargas made it out of the 1st rd. only by some kinda divine interventio, cause he got the shit knocked outta him twice in the first two minutes of rd. 1. So to say that he stood longer than Mayorga is crap, because the last time I saw the fight he stood then fell then stood then fell then stood for awhile longer then fell a bunch of times! LOL!!!!
As for his big comeback, this guy is as done as anyone I've seen in awhile. He didn't take DLH's shots to well at 154, and anybody can see that Oscar didn't carry his power up in those higher weights like he should have(which imo is why he wants to go back to 147). The fight I want to see at 154 is Vargas vs. Mayorga. Cause it would be fuckin hilarious to watch Vargas get smoked by someone as cocky as Mayorga.:D
Well I wouldn't say oscar didn't have power I would say that he was without the devastating power he had his whole career. In the hop fight he was clearly trying to avoid getting hit by Hop and not puting anything on his punches. Quartey when DLH and Trinidad was around were was the best in the division. He beat DLH. And in my opinion ball punching tactics were the only reason Trinidad survived Vargas. Vargas at one point was cleary showing his power to Trinidad. I remember that was the fight I lost all respect for Trinidad. He was clearly cheating in that fight, I havn't seen to many fighters hit the cup that squarely. Vargas is as tough as they come although a lil shit outside of the ring he was still a very good and exciting fighter. If he would have learned of dirty tactics before Trinidad he prolly would have had a better chance at Trinidad.
