Based on? Just out of interest.
Can't see a flat footed guy with no jab giving Floyd any issues myself.
Based on the fact that Canelo is a large, strong, explosive light-middleweight with a penchant for crushing body punches and an ability to string together fast combinations.
Guerrero is a much smaller man, and although he is more versatile and competent a boxer by my reckoning, Floyd will deal with him much more easily than he would Alvarez, IMO. :dunno:
How would Mayweather deal with Alvarez in the clinches? Certainly not the same way he'd deal with a former super-featherweight.
I honestly thought that Mares would lose to Moreno, but he proved me wrong. He effectively closed the distance landing hard punches, successfully overwhelming the more polished Panamanian.
He isn't simply a come-forward boxer who'd be wide open to Donaire's brutal counter-punches. Moreno and Nonito are two different levels, of course, but I'd never rule out Mares and he's definitely more deserving of a fight against Donaire than Rigondeaux is, IMO.
Absolutely not. Ted "Kid" Lewis, Bob Fitzsimmons, Lennox Lewis, etc. Are all much greater fighters than Froch. Even if he KO'd Andre Ward he'd still not be there.
The Ghost is a better fighter in every way than ginger is. The only thing that's left on the table is who has more power. That's because ginger campaigns at 154.
The Ghost has the better jab, footwork, he's better outside, he's better inside, he's faster, smarter, has more stamina, you name it, the Ghost does it better.
Only fools can sit there & say ginger is better. He's done absolutely nothing for that argument to hold any merit.
Nobody's saying that Alvarez is a better fighter than Guerrero, simply that he has the physical attributes and dimensions to trouble Floyd more.
LOL@ little hairbrush man. Good one! But, no his career hasn't taken off. Noone even knows who he is. He's a good fighter, but he has no chance against future great Broner. :nana:
Bit early to be labeling Broner a future great, methinks.
Exactly, just like Broner iced De León. You got it right, nice prediction.
As it stands, I felt Broner lost to PDL but bringing up a fighters worst performances rather than his best one's is biased, no?
How about when Gamboa struggled against Michael Farenas and was dropped? Or when Broner, in his first fight at lightweight, completely annihilated the #1 fighter at the weight?
Fact is, Broner has looked excellent in his recent form. Yuriorkis has not, and I'd favor Broner if the fight were to happen. I think he cleans out lightweight at the moment.
