Hopkins can take Trinidad's punches not because Trinidad cant punch at 160 but because he's got a good chin (example Hopkins vs. Echols). I think Trinidad can punch at 160 but I think his power would decrease a little at 168 and his stamina will decrase noticably.
Vargas vs. Mayorga
At 154, I think Vargas would forget about technique after the first couple of rounds against Mayorga and would start to trade with him and get ko'd in the middle rounds. At 160, I think Mayorga's stamina would cause him to lose by decision.
I suppose, but until that final bell it can be one hell of a boring show, especially when you've got Tua in there against anybody with some reach, which is just about everybody.
One thing Tua is not, is entertaining for boxing fans. He is probably THE most one-demsional Heavy of the 90's, after Ruiz. That is why Tua will never be a first-tier heavy, 'cause he can't fight. he can lunge and throw that big L-hook, but he ususally doesn't connect.
For being 43-3-1 (38 KOs), I think Tua CAN fight. Lasted 12 Rounds to Lewis, Byrd, and Ikeabuchi, so Tuaman can hold his own. At least he doesnt get destroyed like other heavyweights. Come on Munn, give him some damn credit...
Ricky Hatton's "Blue Moon" is corny. The pyro looks cool but the song is corny. De La Hoya's "We Will Rock You" entrance against Vargas was corny also. Mesi's "Thunder" entrance against Williamson was cool because it was first fight on HBO and he won by ko in less than 2 minutes.
In the first round Toney punches Ruiz and his head flies into outer space. Ruiz's head collides with the moon and the moon explodes and pieces of the moon spell out Toney wins.
