Why are people bashing the TS when he stated, "I asked him how did he know this?" He never said he believed the guy, he's just starting a thread about his conversation with a person...damn. You guy get so sensitive over Pacquiao.
OK, let's add another few levels of abstraction to this. A guy who I quoted who quoted another guy on an internet forum told us not get so sensitive about another guy on the same internet forum telling people about a guy he met on the street who told him a friend told him that Michael Moorer told Teddy Atlas that Manny Pacquiao was taking PEDs who had once told Jimmy Kimmel that his dog's name is Pacman and allegedly played the mythical arcade game of the same name which allegedly was created by company called Namco that is, so my sources tell me, based in a country called Japan which is apparently the same country that Antonio Inoki comes from who, according to an anonymous source of mine, once fought Muhammad Ali and kicked him in the legs.
He certainly had tons of raw potential. Lightning fast hands, brutal power and a natural fighter's instinct to go in for the kill. He barely trained for the Vitali fight and badly stunned Big K in, I think, the first or second round and nearly knocked him down. Worst I've ever seen Vitali hurt. And of course everyone knows about the Wlad fight. Really frustrating to think what this guy could have been.

Wlad: How meahny times I tell you Sam, no jungle juice eafter ten o clock.
Peter: Oh Krast Jeezas ah feel de horrors comin' on. *urp*
It's mildly amusing, though not something that's likely to make me leap up from my seat flapping my hands together whilst issuing mongoloid-like guffaws and dribbling onto my giant, malformed clubfeet that's for sure.
Some very good analysis here.
One thing I don't think anyone's noted yet is how Cotto tends to wind up his body punches when in close. Coupled with his low stance this leaves him very exposed to short uppercuts on the inside. Maybe not a massive flaw, but it certainly doesn't help.
I certainly agree that Cotto's main flaw is his stance. His natural reaction to attack it seems is to stand his ground, go into a very wide stance and try to bob and weave out of the way whilst trading counter shots. Trouble is he's just not good enough defensively to do that and as a result gets caught far more than he should. This seems to be pretty ingrained in him though, so I'm not sure what if anything could be done to change this. Learning to clinch more and a tighter body attack maybe.
i dont think ppv and how many fights you have are linked. why should he have more than 2 fights a year? also he picked up a hand injury which he showed on sky sports news so obviously its taking longer. i think people will have the right to moan if he does not fight a klit after ruiz, but seen as tho its a mandatory, what the fcuk is every fcuker moaning at! i bet these same people were complaining because khan didnt take aa mandatory and because haye has its bullshit?!
I believe he's fighting the winner of Chagaev/Meehan after Ruiz.
So I suppose I’m questioning whether boxers have a responsibility to deliver a spectacle to fans…
Yes, I'd argue that they do. Boxers are in the entertainment business first and foremost, and when people pay to watch a fight, then there is a responsibility (not a 100% responsibility, but there nonetheless) for the boxers to give the viewer their money's worth. Those that do are rewarded in subsequent fights.
How the hell does Froch get such a hot girlfriend looking like he does and living in that house. It's just not fair :nonono:
Lol, I just had an image of a pre-Froch Rachael Cordingley walking aloofly down the street in high heels and crop top not giving a stranger the time of day. Suddenly, as she happens to pass by Froch's house she sees him frantically waving and grinning from a little window in the attic. Instantly, all aloofness disolves, she flings off her shoes and runs excitedly inside. Joe Calzaghe happens to pass by a moment later. He sees Froch frantically giving him the finger from the same window. He walks on by.
I don't get why more boxers (or famous people in general) don't live like this instead of getting ridiculous mansions that look more like museums than any remotely habitable dwelling. Is it just an ostentation thing? Really, I'd never trade comfort for bragging rights.
Love the old grizzled veteran look.

Froch has quite an impressive property portfolio around the city. Most of his money is being invested into his business outside of boxing.
When his fight career ends, he'll still have a successful property business to fall to. Clever stuff.
Just hope he manages to get out of boxing with the majority of his faculties intact. The way he's currently eating shots like Minstrels puts him on a fastrack to PD Citeh.
don't judge a book by its cover......that is just the lobby.....

Well, Froch does look a bit like a Disney character, so that makes sense.

Better than a lot of people think. His style looks crude and he does get hit too much, but his toughness and resolute determination not to get beaten has won him a lot of fights that could have easily gone the other way were it not for his mentality in the ring. Does a lot of subtle things quite well. Has pretty decent footwork and can generate power from odd angles and positions, and what's more keeps that power the whole fight. Has excellent stamina and never seems to get intimidated regardless of the situation. Is a bit delusional regarding his overall skillset, and bashes fighters more than I'd like to hear, but generally tends to give credit where credit's due if he feels the other guy fought him "like a warrior" (i.e. not Dirrell).
Lennox was in plenty of dull fights. Lets not pretend he was all action now.
Of course he was in dull fights now and again. Who hasn't been? He was in plenty of exciting wars as well, and he generally always made an effort to finish his opponent when he saw they were ready to be taken.
It's pretty disrespuctful that NONE of the networks have picked this up, but I'm honestly not too surprised. Or upset. Wlad's last few fights have been incredibly boring, sterile affairs, with little to no drama in them due to his utter dominance over his adversaries. There's also the Haymon/Golden Boy factor to consider, but I honestly just think it's because his fights are such a turn off for the casual American viewer.
Just HBO???
Most professional fighters would kill to JUST be on HBO.
And I like how you call Wlad boring but you like Dirrell and Mayweather who never knock anyone out and "box" more than Wlad does.
I think he meant "just" as in "a short time ago".
Who is almost 100% guaranteed to produce a knockout in ever fight they're in.
I'm not criticising Vitali. I enjoy his fights. Wlad's, however, I do not. Personally speaking, I don't much care if a fight ends before the final bell if the rounds preceding it are so dull and repetitive. And the last two of those "knockouts" were a ref stoppage and a quitting on the stool. Not much entertainment in that. Quite an anti-climax in fact.
I won't bother to respond to your Lennox dig. He's been in plenty of exciting fights in his career.
Smells like bias or maybe even racism against Europeans.
Bollox. Adamek and the Super Six blow that notion out the water.
