Couldnt agree more
Pacquiao would have knocked Linares out at featherweight, this thread is a joke.
Im a HUGE fan and supporter of Linares ever since i 1st saw him fight (whoop) on a very game Oscar Larios on an undercard some few years back.I was amazed most by his ring generalship and hand speed, stamina, i could go on forever, point being, i thought he was "the next big thing".Now im not saying he still cant live up to that because he definitely could, but lets be honest, for him to have been knocked out the way he was by some unknown fighter, please! Pac man would do that to him at any weight. And trust me,im not a pacman d***k rider by no means but come on...really???!!! the truth is the truth, Pac man is on some other level,i mean i swear i saw his aura or golden glow around him when he fought cotto. guy's like a modern day Bruce Lee or something...i guess i am like every other pac man fan and didn't even know it.lol.Nah, that's just what the guy IS.Im not giving him anymore credit than he deserves but don't forget, this is from someone who is a bigger Linares fan than i am of Manny.Again, the truth is the truth, regardless of what WE think.
biggest flops that come to mind in RECENT MEMORY...
I'd have to Rocky Juarez, Zab Judah, Bronco Mckart, Panchito Bojado, David Reid, David Tua,vicente escobedo and even though the next guys are relatively young like Bojado i dont think they'll ever mentally recover from devasting losses,Jorge Linares, Ricky hatton, ponce de leon, Victor Ortiz, and i hate to say my main man Juan Diaz. As a fan of a lot of these fighters, it pains my heart to feel this way about them. Jorge linares out of everyone on the list and possibly Victor Ortiz and i have very little hope for juan diaz to be able to salvage their careers, with the help of the right trainers and handlers, plus they have the help of father time on their hands, but the rest like juarez and judah unfortunately dont have the luxury of being young, whatever they were gonna do with careers' would've been done by now. I feel like im leaving out others,my mind slips me.
no jeff lacy???????????????????????????
ha ha! yes, forgot about "left hook", i wouldnt call Vargas a flop, he did everything in a short amount of time, instead of spread out through a lengthy career.lol
young guys with only 1 (legit) loss shouldnt be included. they still got time to make something out of their career.
linares, ortiz and andy lee still have time to make smth out of their careers.
i was one of the many who thought linares was like the perfect fighter, but he was too good to be true. his chin's a fatal flaw. im hoping it was just a matter of him being caught cold. has anybody else seen any hints of his chin being that bad?
true i was gonna hold off on putting them in my list but something tells me they're damaged goods now.oh yeah, what about arcelino frietas? u consider him a flop? i would almost feel like calling hamed a flop but cant overlook what he did for the lighter wieghts,i can definately call brian viloria a flop, what u think?
