Akinwande,Donald and a few other decent heavies have also beaten Jeremy Williams but none of Williams had too much success after beating him Akinwande I think won the WBO belt but then lost to Lewis. Peter seems to have momentum and youth on his side so he could make some noise especially if he continues to up his competition slowly. It's nice having a tough guy with a good punch they make the division exciting. Would like to see him face a few more boxers ,Williams is not a boxer more of a slugger.
I disagree about the Braithwaite fight. I think Mormeck will take the belt. O'neill will beat Davis but it will be a very entertaining battle with a late surging Bell winning a decision. Nelso will never put his WBO title on the line against a legitimate top boxer, only those with flaws. would like to see Nelson give Alexander Gurov who was his mandatory before he challenged Mormeck and lost. i think this may be Gurov's only chance to win a world title. the cother champs are too much for his chin. Would like to see Guillermo Jones fight one of the other champs. He could provide a good fight.
Sahaprom would have decisioned Marquez a few years back as Marquez is just starting to come into his own now. Sahaprom has a nice gurd that would block most of Marquez shots sahaprom could have possibly knocked Marquez out in my opinion. He is one of the most underrated fighters in the last 7 or so years. I guess he can only look to unify against Ratanachai(118 WBO)which I would love to see. But Ratanachai will probably not want that fight. Would like to see some of the Thai 118 pounders get a shot at Sahaprom or Vorapin instead of some of the others and keep the title in Thailand.
I do not think that Tiger victory is a guarantee as many people have expresses in other Forums. An in-shape Tiozzo can be a tough fight for any 175 pounder. His skills are still very solid and I think this fight will a very competitive match.
Sanders quick hands are an asset for only the first five or six hands, his lack of stamina has been his downfall. I still think he would match up well with Chris Byrd because of his speed. Sanders could beat Byrd if he lays a hurting on him early on. But would have to be in much better shape than in his last fights. Hope he gets a meaningful fight.
Ouma has a good way of putting his punches together. However he does not seem to be in the league of Winky. I would expect a very tough fight based on Oumas strength and youth giving Winky a few rought spots but eventually Ouma would lose by a close decision. Winky seems to have a good chin and a great defense. This would end up a tactical battle.
Fahsang will have a slight chance to win if Manny is unfocused, however 3-K power is not proven against elite fighters. Wehn Fahsang fought Simonyan he was totally outclassed and unable to get past the jab. If Pacquiao uses his jab a lot I think it will be an easy fight. Still hoping for the upset though.Would have rather seen Pacquiao fight a better Thai boxer such as Somsak Singchawal.
Has anyone seen the Thai fighter Fahprakorb fight besides his annihalition by Pacquiao. He seems to have a decent punch or has he just fought no hopers. Any info on the thai fighter would be appreciated.
Hey Maganda,
You sure don't like the Thai fighters do you. It sucks to hear about Wonjongkam not fighting Arce. Well I still think Fahprakorb will beat Pacquiao even though I have not seen him fight, just a hunch. But then again it sure is nice eating a Phillipine pastie for an easy victory. See ya
