That's an accurate statement, but neither is 147 pounds. The range between 140 and 147 pounds is a division. I suppose I'm looking for someone to tell me otherwise with facts to back it up, and not out of blind loyalty to another fighter.
So it sounds like the answer here is, which @Nuurzhaelan no one has really said this plainly, this can't be a welterweight championship fight AND a fight with a catchweight. The welterweight LIMIT is 147, so if this were a championship fight that would automatically be considered the weight limit for the fight. That's easy enough for me to piece together and I really don't need any further discussion on this. Thanks to the hospitable posters, looking forward to talking with y'all soon.
