Hahaha, i live in Australia bud but will be fighting in New York in July, maybe you can stab me while i'm in the ring, then i won't have anywhere to run.
Give it time it's still two months if you type Broner-Paulie tickets and it don't take you to stubhub or premium tickets they aren't out yet
Cheers mate, good to get a sensible answer out of someone.
Haha, yeah they would be for sure, but if wasting their own time posting stuff like that is their idea of fun i'll let them be. I think it's kind of funny that someone would even waste their energy posting that.
Agree with you about people standing up bro, so annoying when you've paid a fortune for tickets. Must have been an experience to see Cotto v Martinez, I was speechless in that first round!!!
Honestly every seat is a great seat at MSG.. I never get floor seats for fights anymore. Annoys the hell out of me when people stand up and don't sit back down.. Better to watch the fight from the 100 sections and closer rows. Just my opinion.. But yea any seat at the Garden is a great seat. I had tickets to the Cotto vs Martinez fight this pass weekend and I was in section 120 row 16. Great seats. Saw everything.

It would completely suck if the Main event ended in under 4 rounds for you.
The experience however......:headbang:
Hahaha, I agree. You're right about the experience though. Never been inside MSG (last time I was there it was being renovated) so looking forward to just feeling the atmosphere, would be better for a Cotto fight though.
Thanks for the replies guys. The seats don't look too bad. I was thinking that Section 01 may be better than Section 12 as Section 12 looks like it could be blocked by the corner post if you're at ground level. Only problem is that the $300 were the best that I could get, couldn't even get the $500 seats after the presale, and even during the presale the only $500 seats available were in Section 12. Anybody got any experience sitting ringside at all?
i've been ringside at dozens of fights, but never at MSG. i had media credentials for several years, and covered fights in massachusetts and connecticut.
it's a matter of angles and distance. floor seats can be worse for an overall view than the first few rows of the loge. if the fight is on your side of the ring, it can be a great view at ringside. if you're not close, though, stuff in the wrong parts of the ring can be nearly impossible to see. you can get a completely different view of the fight if the exchanges don't take place near you.
Very good point. I should be happy with just being there anyway. Floor seats are a big gamble if they're in the wrong position.
The tickets went on sale? Why arent they on Ticketmaster?

You got ripped off bro, sorry man. The prices for those seats were ATROCIOUS.
I probably agree with you bro, I've paid less for better fights (e.g. Maidana v Lopez was less than half the price for floor seats). Having said that this is a once a year thing for me, I only get the chance to travel once a year (if that) and it just so happens that the fight is on while I'm in the US, so even for $500 I jumped at the chance of getting a ticket. Every fight in Australia is pay per view (even the regular Showtime and HBO bouts that you get for free as part of your subscription) so we're used to paying ridiculous money to get our boxing fix.
I was at the Cotto vs Martinez fight section 101, I had a great view. I have had floor seats before and its like everybody else says, some people stand up for any punch their fighter lands which can become very annoying. Also depending where you sit on the floor the ropes and turnbuckle can block your view. Sitting in the 100 level seats gives you a nice view looking over the ropes. The atmosphere was amazing that night, I thought I was going to go deaf after the first knockdown. :boxing:
Thanks mate, I'm starting to wish I got the 100 area seats. I'm hoping that the floor level seats that are just below the 100 section seats are tiered, so at least I get an elevated view. Could you see if the floor seats below section 101 were tiered or all at ground level? The section that I'm in is directly below 101.
Thats weird, if you search GOlovkins name in Ticketmaster, it doesnt show up
Just bought tix, level 104 row 6. not bad
Good work, the 100 seats seem to be the pick according to what most people are saying.
Yea I hate that ****. I stay away from floor seats now. Not worth the money. The experience and the electricity of the garden is something that can't be reproduced. I've been to fights in Vegas.. Puerto Rico, California, Miami... Nothing can beat the Garden for me. So much history and when that place is sold out with all boxing fans... Nothing like it. The roof got blown off during that first round of the Cotto Martinez fight. Be careful they might relocate The GGG fight cause they might need to do more renavations lmao
Hahaha, I can't imagine the noise in that place after that first knockdown.
I went to the Garden on Cotto-Margarito II fight night and let me tell you. That place gets rocking! The atmosphere is very hard to put into words. You'll find all types of people too. The seats I bought were in the nose bleed but what we did is we got there early, waited an hour before the PPV (around 8) and moved down a few levels and scoped out some empty seats. Afterwards we went to the hot dog vendor down the block and saw Allen Medina who was just KO'd by Mike Lee on the untelevised undercard. He was cool and thanked us for coming out to see him lol
Thanks bro, I'm really looking forward to being there. Would kill to see Cotto fight there though!
I got section 1 Row 19, Seats 1,2
100 per
Good work, I'm only 13 rows in front of you and paid $200 more. Either I got ripped off or there is some massive difference in the view from those seats (My guess is I got ripped off).
They can be. I got ringside for GGG's first America fight in Verona... second row... but I was near the corner of the ring where the freaking Cameraman spent most of the time standing in front of.
I did get t be up and close with Brandon Gonzalez's fat ass and i think I sat behind Gary Shaw.
I'm assuming it's him because he was fat, old, dressed like **** and had a belt with him
Hahaha. I actually email Gary Shaw to find out when tickets went on sale and below are the actual emails:
Me: (I sent an email asking what date the tickets went on sale)
Gary Shaw: what price range
Me: $500, for 3 or 4 people.
Gary Shaw: i need a definite amount and a check or wire transfer
This was all replied from a different email address to the one I sent the initial email to. Either Gary acts the way he looks or some idiot hacked his email and actually thought I would send money for tickets with no guarantee at all.
Dude is shady as hell.... at least he looks shady. Honestly if I'm a fighter and he comes to sign me dressed like that, I wonder if he snuck out of an insane asylum.
But yea... I wouldn't trust that
Yeah I definitely wasn't gonna pull the trigger on that one, especially travelling all the way to New York only to get told my tickets didn't exist.
They got 25 and 50 dollar tickets. I bought a 100 one, I'll honestly be spending more getting there than for the actual fight
I hear you bro. Thankfully i'll be in LA anyway but so far return flights from LAX were $605aud, Fight was about $370aud and accommodation will be about $330aud for 3 nights. Expensive weekend but this sport is worth it.
you travelling half way around the world to support a good boy?
http://www.boxingscene.com/uploads/71182/golovkin-stevens%20(6).jpg
Hahaha, love the memorial photo. Yeah i'll be supporting my fellow Aussie, but I'm not blind enough to see what could very well happen. Having said that Geale is a mover and has a decent punch output. The only thing that will slow that punch output is if he can't take Golovkin's power. We'll see I suppose. (BTW I'm a big fan of GGG as well.)
Before the internet was invented i'm willing to bet that people didn't stand around saying half the stupid ***** some of you guys are saying. It's amazing how a keyboard and the security of someone's home can give them the nerve to say whatever they want. Accept this fact guys - both of these fighters are warriors, both have worked hard to get where they are and both are gonna give you f*ckers one hell of a night of entertainment in November. Deal with it and move on. If you haven't got the skill or b@lls to step in the ring with either of them, don't criticize - shut up and watch!
Let's have a look at Mundine's recent rise to greatness and claim to a big fight:
1. 2012 - Beats a 90 year old Bronco McKart (who is a nobody) in front of 7 people in Vegas.
2. 2013 - Gets the sh*t kicked out of him by Daniel Geale, loses a UD and claims robbery.
3. 2013 - Fights old ass Shane Mosley who gets back spasms and has to retire, now claims to be the only guy to "stop" Mosley.
4. 2014 - Gets a UD against Gunnar Jackson (That's right - who the f*ck is Gunnar Jackson?)
5. 2014 - Gets knocked down 5 times and made to look like an amateur against Joshua Clottey, who's barely fought in the last 4 years.
6. 2014 - Gets a split nod over Sergey Rabchenko who, if we're honest with ourselves, wouldn't even be competitive with a true top 10 light middleweight.
7. The logical next step - yep, Canelo or Cotto! With a resume like this, where else do you go but up?
Out of shape and may never box again - give me a ****ing break! Out of shape yes, but how many boxers take a break after a fight - look at Ricky Hatton, the guy doubled his weight between fights and still managed to come back and win.
