The chemistry is definitely fading away if there ever was one.
Ariza has gotten more aggressive/bossy with his dealing with pacman. During the fight, you could see Ariza telling pacman to take his arms off the ropes when he was sitting down trying to rest. Stop talking you douche. If the fighter wants to rest their arms on the ropes, let them. And there was a comment on 24/7 hbo episode 4, ariza says, this is the best manny yet. the fighter is a reflection of his team. That may be true, but you would be nothing if manny didn't have the talent.
The fight wasn't at 145 it was at the welterweight limit of 147. Oscar weighed in at around 145 and was a deadman walking. Manny was actually heavier than Oscar on fight night and you could look up the fight and see for yourself. 142 was way too low to ask Shane to drop down to and Freddy Roach knew that.
As for manny being heavier than oscar is another story. they rehydrated oscar on fight night and not after the official weigh-in.
the bottom line is this:
manny was right around 140 in 2008 and 2009 and was fighting at that weight. they knew they could beat an oscar that was too old and too fat. the shane fight wasn't happening for weight reasons.
Mayweather is ducking Manny becuase Manny would whoop junior.
Manny and Floyd were not in negotiations a the time Mosley asked for the fight. This was in early 2009 when Floyd was still officially retired. Roach even said it on camera that the refused to fight Mosley at 147 because of the weight even though they fought Oscar 147 too. They wanted no part of the Mosley that knocked out Margarito and thats the truth.
To fight a mosley or mayweather, training camp can't consist of making weight. You have to be at that weight when camp starts.
To fight an oscar too old hoya is a different matter.
Manny has to fight at 150. Even at 150, manny will probably come in at ~146.
For the Margarito 150 fight, the dude came in at 144.6. They mentioned how any heavier and his speed was compromised.
Fighting Martinez would force junior's hand. Pacman wins, and Junior is an afterthought. Junior would have to prove he is better. Pacman loses, and Junior would have to fight Martinez or pacman.
Ducking another fighter because they are too big is 1 reason.
But when Mayweather and Pacman are both in their prime fighting weights at 144, there should be no reason they both can't come into the ring.
Bullsh*t, Manny jumped up nearly three weight classes to fight Oscar in 2008 at 147. But somehow Mosley was too big for him at the same weight in 2009? Roach's reason for not fighting Mosley was because "he was better than Oscar" and those were Roach's words.

the fight was at 145. manny was 142 and the circumstances for that fight were different. oscar spent training camp making weight and not actually training to fight.
You guys are talking about ducking fighters and waiting for them to get washed up, which is what team Pac did. Shane walked into Freddy Roaches gym and asked for a fight with Pacquiao to which Freddy Roach told Shane he would have to come down in weight or no fight. They refused to fight him at 147 in 2009 and don't act like thats not the truth. Once Shane lost to Floyd and Sergio Mora the fight was made instantly. You guys cant say Floyd fought an old Shane and act like Manny didn't fight an even older Shane.
147 was way too big for manny back in 2009. he was right around 140 for his fights in 2008 and 2009. Ducking opponents based on size and weight vs ducking opponents that are in your natural weight class is worlds apart different.
Would manny have ducked Margarito at 150 back in 2009? Of course. He was 140 back then.
There's ducking for weight reasons and then there's floyd ducking.

He actually made the salesman wait till the movie was over before going down into the car. The old manny wouldn't have made the dude wait.
Buying a Ferrari is fine. Sending someone else to fetch the car is also fine. It's expected when you are loaded like he is. But making someone wait cause you're watching a movie is not cool. It's a floyd move.
