Whatever crap reply you've got lined up. I will not be responding. you couldn't even make sense last time.
But do read what i've just said. it's good stuff
I don't really care for your flaming. You don't exist to me. And i will certainly not lower myself to a flame war with a fan
There's been a few fights, where i've known who is going to win. And instead of going with gut instinct, i've hesitated. And either gone with the opposite due to listening to others or i haven't placed the bet at all. Done doing that
Going with gut instinct all the time now.
You're gonna be shocked by Groves too.
Too much workrate and aggression in his work and far too much movement and speed. Ward likes it simple, he keeps it simple with his pot shotting
This is, i hate to say it but..if he loses against Ward.
It means little difference because he can come again. Or find someone else, he'll take experience from it.
Why keep blasting out poor contenders..if the money is there, and ward will have him.
Take it. Take the experience, take the money
Groves isn't gonna be there to get countered..
So i'm unsure what solution Ward has. other than coming forward and still getting picked off by Groves on the backfoot
Groves movement is a real problem
As i've explained. the only reason Froch even won that fight was due to the inexperience of Groves, playing up for the crowd and not realizing he still had 5 more rounds to go..
Technical side of things he did absolutely nothing wrong
He'd have learned from that.
Don't go thinking carl froch put in an immaculate performance swinging bombs and getting a controversial decision on an inexperienced fighter, it takes nothing away from George groves.. Only that it shows he now belongs at World level
He's the same fighter he was before the froch fight, or even better now. He made a rookie mistake.
Boxing is all about learning. And it really isn't a big thing groves has to work on. Settling down more and getting less excited, working through the gears and knowing he has to do 12 rounds of it
He's already been there and felt what it's like now
What i like about Groves is.
The self belief he has. He doesn't care about walking in there as the badguy, or being drawn into mindgames. He truly believes in himself and what he's capable of doing.
Confidence and charisma takes you far.
Granted he got over confident in there with Froch, tried working far too hard. Needed a few rounds in a different gear. You can't start the fight in one gear and keep it the same for 12 rounds. or even try going up another gear, because you think you're hurting the guy..
its not amateur, and he gassed badly.
But still, he's a terrific fighter.
''Lol so getting stopped by Froch= Beating Ward''
if you knew anything boxing dumbass, you'd know styles makes fights. Regardless of who he's been in there with before
And i think. If he brings that erratic & aggressive movement and handspeed against Ward. And really starts fast, i think the same is going to happen to Ward as it did with Froch
It's a horrible style to be in there with
This is, i hate to say it but..if he loses against Ward.
It means little difference to anyone because he can come again. Or find someone else, he'll take experience from all this
Why keep blasting out poor contenders..if the money is there, and ward will have him.
Take it. Take the experience, take the money
I loved the Cotto vs Mayweather bout.
I recall a few weeks before it, i kept saying to people 'I'm not saying Cotto is beating Floyd, but i think he's gonna surprise a LOT of people'
lol i was laughed at by Floyd fans. for weeks
And cotto did shock
When you can do what he does. Or produce someone to that kind of standard.
Then perhaps you can call the shots. Lol what exactly are you hoping to achieve here?
In two years he retires and no one will give a **** but you. This fights been and gone and had it's chance, if floyd wants to pick the easiest fights then so be it. He's coming to an end of his career. No one out there has earned the right to fight him in my opinion. They haven't done enough yet
Not to my knowledge anyway
I doubt he gives a **** if he's not fighting the people you want him to fight. I'm still gonna watch him, no matter who he fights. And i'm not a massive floyd fan..i just don't care at this point
Remember. Floyds the man. You don't try and play hard with the man.
Manny and his team along with promoter. Should have taken what they got offered in the first place.
A bird in the hand, is worth two in the bush.
I'm not a Floyd fan.
I'm just telling you how it is, it's a dirty business. And you don't try and play hard ball with the dude at the top..you take what you're being given quite frankly.
And then to get knocked out. And expect another chance at him?
And now he's got nothing to show for it trying to play hard ball with ''The Man''
whilst ''the man'' still collects his Multi million dollar deal he's signed and with whoever he chooses to fight..
Who's short changed here, Floyd?
Who needs who more?
Look life is hard enough. and Boxing is even harder.
Lets try this analogy
If someone offers you $1000 today..?
but says. 'actually, if you wait another 2 months and not have this now. i might be able to get you $2000!!! instead'
You don't hold out. Take that money what's infront of you
I'm not being a floyd fan, i'm just saying you don't play hard ball with the dude that holds all the keys to all the doors.
And then comeback and ask for another go after you've told him to go stick it
Lol don't talk to me about being shallow, MATE.
You're just another fan on a forum.
I'm saying it how it is. Boxing is a brutal game.
You don't try and play hard ball with the man..and then expect ANOTHER crack at him. After you've been knocked out?
Life is brutal. and so is boxing
I'm past caring who he fights. Until a Rigondeaux of Welterweight can surface out of somewhere..they'll we see who the master is
for now, expect floyd to pick the easiest of opponents. you don't keep world titles this late in the game picking the best there is
And like Floyd needs the money. he's already netted a crazy deal
Manny fans along with his team, and his promoter and everyone else will learn from this.
You don't play hardball with the dude at the top.
Opportunity knocked, no one was home. This is boxing, it's a dirty business
Done
I like Manny as much as anyone. I like his story, the whole poverty thing..what he does for charity, all of that. Who he is outside of boxing.
But i think he's adored by fans. and they want to see this fight, because they believe it's some sort of Good vs Evil thing.
and really, it's a second generation boxing icon with a big mouth. putting on a whipping on a well loved fighter
it's like how a lot of Manchester people felt when Hatton fought floyd that night, they honestly believed 1000% their man was winning that night
sometimes, fans are so biased.
Your whole.
'yuh but i wont give none of my munni to floyd! id want a better deal im not short changing myself for no one'
Then you'd be exactly like Manny, going without i'm afraid and now getting nothing lol
I can't comment on why he won't fight Manny now. Maybe it's because Manny had his chance? And now it's principal..
He got knocked out. Why should Floyd fight him.
Floyd made a career out of being an arsehole. There's no sense suddenly growing a heart now. Let the *******s stew. Their man got given a shot
But that's your opinion. and regardless of it
He is still the man. And you don't try and play hardball with someone like this. It's business, not boxing.
And boxing is a dirty business
You're still not listening Tonito's way.. are you mate?
You only get that right when you're the man/king of the mountain/on the throne.
Manny has never been this
People still care about this fighting happening?
Floyd wipes the floor with Manny. Whether it's manny from 5 years back. Present Manny or Manny in 2026
Move on
