So Frampton got tired the minute that Quigg realised he was behind and switched his style? Nah.
I think Frampton would have still won but Quigg gives himself a much better chance coming out and fighting to his strengths from the start. Framptons defence really isnt very good and Quigg gave him pass over that for 7 rounds. When he stepped it up Framptons shortcomings were much more apparent imo. He didnt look tired to me
I thought he looked very tired in 9, 10 and 11....as he usually does. He stopped moving and stood right there which is not his style.
I don't think Quigg waits that long if he felt he could bully Frampton early. He was overly cautious, got his jaw broke by a counter and was down 7-1. Round 12 would have been the story of the fight had Quigg tried to force it from the start, might even have got stopped.
You're picking Frampton right?
Get all your money on Quigg lads, gmc_rfc has picked the other guy! :lol1:

Yep, it went well.
He was comfortable and controlled all fight. Imposed his physical strength, countered well and also led off well.
Really good performance and his resume is looking real good for 25 years old.
Had he started earlier, he'd have been stopped IMO.
I believe they waited for Frampton to slow a little before taking any risks. Quigg was extremely cautious and still got a broken jaw from a counter.
What a disappointing fight, both were far to gun-shy and cagey for the first 6 rounds. It didnt really come alive until round 8. I'm so disappointed with Quigg - not sure what the game-plan was but he blew the fight. Far to inactive for too many rounds, he did show when he finally came alive that he was physically much stronger than Frampton, bullying him around the ring and landing some decent shots. If he had started like that early he would have won the fight.
I don't think he could have done that early.
He was clearly cautious of the power, suffered a broken jaw and was taking zero risks. He only got brave down the stretch when Frampton slowed a little.
Even then, in the 12th round when it was important, Frampton came out and put him back in his place with a one sided round.
Loma definatley is faster or at least just as fast as Gamboa... Gamboa does not have Rigo speed... Who edges out Loma.
All that aside, this would be a big step up for Loma in terms of quality opposition and a great coming attraction for a big Rigo fight.
Of course, if Loma beat Rigo (or the other way around)... What else can either one of them do? At least Loma can move up and face bigger guys... Rigo will have hit a ceiling in terms of his competition.
Also, what needs to be said and what can't be said enough... Is how CLEAN Loma and the Cuban fighters fight... No holding, no BS elbows(like Floyd), no cheap sh*t... just pure, unadulterated boxing at its highest level... When fights like this happen boxing as whole shines...
Gamboa at his best was faster than even Rigo. A prime Gamboa is up there with the fastest fighters I've seen.
I do agree though, both great fighters who fight in the correct way. There's no nonsense, no holding and that is to be appreciated these days.
As a Gamboa fan it is saddening to see how his career has been wasted by promotional problems and inactivity, but I'm hopeful he still gets some big fights before it's over.
Not at all.
I don't even think Bradley is big enough to be a legit top guy at 147 (I think he loses to Pac, Brook, Thurman and a couple of others). I also think his boxing ability is heavily over-rated.
Going up to 154 to fight the biggest (and best) guy in the division would be a terrible decision. Canelo would physically manhandle him and hurt him.
Didn't Froch also score a draw but after the fight said he thought Frampton won but his card was a draw lol
Yep.
Called it a draw, yet after the fight and on Twitter after he said the right man clearly won. They were trying to give reason to justify a robbery had it happened.
Lietening to Quigg I have to blame his trainer, he let his guy get comfortable in a fight that was not benefiting him. Even if you aren't all over him a good trainer will be pushing him away from that situation, and looking at how Quigg responded when he was honest if he had done that earlier things could have been very different.
He was telling Quigg that it was 4-3 after round 7....I had it 7-0 and Sky had it 6-1.
Can anyone tell me how good quiigs punch resistance is? Has he ever been down or hurt? Thinking about putting money on Frampton KO
Quigg's been down twice that I've seen, but there may have been a third that I missed. I wouldn't be surprised by a KO/TKO.
As for Hearn putting his hands on Frampton, he stepped back as soon as Frampton told him to p1ss off. The guy is a balloon.
I'd like to think it just happens, but you never know.
Jim Watt is usually pretty relentless when it comes to talking up the fighters he's clearly hoping wins and I think Galling is worse.
I've got Gamboa.
He's obviously past his best and highly inactive, but his talent level is supreme. If he's still at a good level, he's the better fighter.
Lomachenko is not faster than Gamboa :lol1: Even at this age, he's still much faster.
Quigg should demand that 10% fee back from Gallagher, what a woeful job he did in Quigg's corner.
Frampton was clearly superior and winning the first half without breaking sweat and Gallagher is telling Quigg he's boxing beautifully.
that was one of the worst commentary i have EVER listened to by sky.
they had it a draw and some had quigg winning ? GTFOH
the fact they/people on here even thought it was close, just goes to show how many of you DKSAB.
frampton won by a country mile. it was not even remotely close :nonono:
Sky's commentary was a joke.
Jim Watt had Frampton 3 points up with 3 rounds to go, yet after 11 he had Quigg winning by a point....

It's funny Frampton's the smaller fighter but to me he looks a little drawn leading up to the fight. It might be time to move up to 126.
He struggles with the weight, that's a factor.
He won't be at 126 for more than 2 fights IMO, this one included.
What the f*ck is wrong with him? How many times can you make the same deluded mistakes?
You can't just type up your own 'contract', sign it and then announce the fight as official.
Honestly, his team are less than amateur. The big fish dictates to the small fish, not the opposite.
Damn right! :D
Just a bit of banter mate. Should be a top night!
Fair play mate, turned out to be a pretty accurate pick. The first time I go all in on Wlad winning a big fight and the c*nt stinks it up
This is a fight that no outcome would surprise me, in this case I'm siding with the skills advantage to beat out the size advantage but it's a tough call.
You're picking Frampton right?
Get all your money on Quigg lads, gmc_rfc has picked the other guy! :lol1:
"Wlad gonna knock him out with the first punch he lands doe" :lol1:
Yeah man, forgot that you picking one fight correctly has you calling yourself an 'expert' :lol1:
His power hasn't been tested against anyone decent, so we don't really know for sure.
He's fought one good opponent and it went the distance. The rest of his opponents have been dreadful.
I reckon Joshua and Wlad hit a fair bit harder.
Tickets were sold out in 2 minutes WTF is that about?
Eddie Hearn sending at least half of them to touts and Stubhub (who he has a connection to) is what it's about. The tickets will now sell at more than 5x the actual price and his wallet will get a little fatter.
Eddie is like a white Don King, screwing people over for more cash every chance he gets.
For what it's worth he did tell him he was losing 6-1 at the end of the 7th and he kicked it up a notch after that. A little too late though.
He told him Sky Sports had it 6-1, he said he thought it was 4-3. Genuinely no idea what he was doing.
