Just because Floyd didn't fight him that doesn't mean he ducked him. If what you said was valid, then I should give Floyd credit for Corrales, Castillo and Maidana, all guys Manny (based on this logic) ducked.
STop with the stupid make believe theories where you as a Manny fan try to elevate him over Floyd simply because you like Manny.
Just accept the fact that while he had a great career, Floyd's was just better. You make Manny look weaker when you try and gerrymander Floyd's opponent's because those same theories lower manny's opposition even more when applied to his career.
I remember talks of Thurman v Mayweather. Corrales/Castillo v Pac? What weight was Manny back then? No way they were ever on his radar.
If Thurman was his mandatory at the time he fought Berto, then there's way more of a case for a duck there.
This sites starting to lose some of its credibility with some of these posts.
Mayweather vs Mcgregor was the best version of floyd? Floyd beats both spence and crawford?!
Floyds an all-time great, but either of those two massacre him at this point in his career. When was the last time Floyd fought a young fresh boxer?
It's been 4 years since he's been in the ring with an actual legit boxer (Bertos not a legit boxer) and looked like trash against an MMA fighter. You think if either spence or crawford hits floyd with those slap punches mcgregor was throwing, that floyd would last? His biggest asset is his defense, and it looked bad against mcgregor.
Manny looked great without Roach in his corner, he should have just stuck to the same crew. Roach taught pac how to use both hands, but the dude has nothing else to teach Pac.
It's crazy how people on this thread write off Jacobs as having no shot. They may have a point though, hard to beat a steroid user who's team constantly pays off the judges. Canelo lost to triple G in their first fight, whoever doesn't believe that is either being paid off by Golden boy, or just a delusional fan boy. Danny gave triple G more of a fight and had more claim to a triple G win than Canelo in the first fight.
No
If this fight happens I’ll be livid. Im so sick of these bs matches where good boxers move up two weight classes and get ruined for a paycheck. Spence should stick to welter, and fight a Crawford, Thurman, or one of the other contenders. Whomever thinks Spence would have a chance doesn’t know boxing.
Brooks, khan, Rigo, Garcia, etc. all those fights sucked and played out somewhat the same.
