He also discredited Pacquiao's KO of the year on him by stating that he was pretty much done when he got stretched. This is after he beat Malinaggi impressively and he was a changed fighter. I don't care what he says publicly, he was embarassed by Pacquiao in two rounds and won't ever truly give him credit. Even in interviews after that fight he held on to that fraction of round 2 where it was mildly competitive acting as if he could have done something to avoid getting blasted. I also never stated that Pacquiao would "Hatton" FMJr. I said that unless he has really trains for the fight, that he won't be competitive.
Pacman has more distractions then Mayweather? lol May has way more to deal with then Pac.
Yall really act like Margs was a threat to floyd lmao he would of been shut out 12-0 then yall would complain on how floyd cherry picked a slow tall punching bag that doesnt move.
Did he retire or did he fight them before they were exposed? No.
Do any of you read the actual post before replying or did you merely take it out of context? No.
I stated that FMJ trains like a beast, because he still has something to prove whereas Pacquiao's popularity has gone to his head and he's splitting time between TV shows, congress and recording albums while being an icon in a third world country.
It was actually a compliment to FMJr in saying that he doesn't ALLOW the distractions to have any effect on his training and he doesn't dictate to anyone that he doesn't feel like training or blow training off like Pacquiao has done in past camps.
I'm not choosing a side.
Read the post before you respond with the mentally challenged comments. I'm stating an objective opinion. You mental giants complain about "Pactards" but you're just as bad if someone doesn't immediately bow down and kiss the gold chain of your ignorant Ghetto God.
Now I just gave you something to actually get pissed about.
Flint...you obviously went to the same school as the Mayweathers as you display the same deft skill with the English language.
Anyway, all retarded humanoids aside, Hatton is showing the same resentment that DLH showed when he retired as well. They both got killed by Pacquiao and are bitter about it. Hatton will kiss FMJs ass because of his association with FMSr and everyone of these tools feels the need to pile on the nice guy who doesn't shoot his mouth off. Especially if that guy retired you.
Pacquiao ducking worse than FMJr? Really? Both guys are handpicking opponents at this point because they can. They are both cash cows. Floyd avoided Cotto and Margarito in their primes by RETIRING. If that isn't the ultimate act in ducking fighters then I don't know what that is.
I don't think Pac beats Floyd. He's got great defense and he's a supreme counter puncher and aside from the occasional unintelligible argument with his idiot father that requires a translator, he doesn't seem to have the distractions in his camp that Pacquiao has while training. If Pacquiao gets hungry again and stops trying to solve the world's problems, and making crappy novelty albums then he might stand a chance. Plus, he's not doing the work in camp like he used to, because he's dictating everything.
FMJr trains like a beast in the gym, because he's always got something to prove. Manny doesn't and it shows. Pacquiao is like Rocky in Rocky III, he got soft off of the fat lifestyle. All the adulation in the world won't help you in the ring.
Until he really, and I mean REALLY focuses on training like he did before that DLH fight, he won't bring the A game he needs to complete with Floyd. The Marquez fight proved that.
I'm still not understanding how these idiots can call Pacquiao a fraud or two faced. It seems that the common issue with him is that he knows how to carry himself in the public eye, unlike FMJ who's simply a regressed human being who can't and will never separate himself from his ghetto persona.
FMJ's personality is a reflection of a much larger social issue that we all have to deal with on a daily basis. The overly aggressive typical "thug" behavior that normal people have to endure which presents itself in form of constant intimidation and fear tactics for simply looking in some idiot's direction. The "keepin' it real" mentality is merely a subterfuge to mask one's ignorance and general insecurity. FMJ is too stupid to realize that no matter how much money he has, no matter how great of a boxer he is, that if he continues to beat women and act like trash; he'll always be viewed as trash.
Pacquiao came from more humble surroundings than FMJ, yet look at what he's accomplished. He grew out of his upbringing, not into it and he shouldn't be mislabeled as fake because he thinks beyond FMJ's limited ignorant scope as well as the moronic thoughts of his fan base, who's main goal in life is apparently worship a guy who burns money, beats his women and sports more gold than Mr. T.
Time to grow OUT of the negative stereotypes, not validate them.
All those people saying "he needs to change his ways" 1) are never ever going to like him, 2) will always root for him to fail, 3) will pay to watch him every single time like they do with Floyd, and most importantly 4) completely validate the cartoonish, highly charismatic persona he's taken on that has made him so popular.
He should not change a damn thing other than his training and learning how to deal with pressure fighters more effectively.
I disagree. I don't like him personally, but I'm a boxing fan who can separate because I can appreciate talent in the ring. I picked him to win because of the Alexander-Maidana fight.
Better footwork would have helped him win that fight. In a game of inches some of those punches don't land and that shoulder roll actually works if he moves his feet. Watch his lateral movement. It's nowhere near FMJr's or Pacquiao's. He crosses his feet in retreat mode. Those are fundamental mistakes he needs to work on in the gym. GBP built him up with these over matched smaller fighters who he was walking down flat footed and eventually knocking out. It gave him a false bravado and those basics were exposed once he started moving up.
If he and his trainers recognize this they can fix it in the gym. He has talent and he should try 140 for his return or take on someone who can't bang at 147. If he rushes back into a rematch with Maidana fighting the same way, he'll get the same result or worse. If he has better lateral movement or moves in and out with a higher punch out put he wins.
Stupid comment by Marquez. The JMM Pac fight was close and tough to score. At best it was 2-3 points for JMM, but there's an argument for 2-3 points to Pacquiao.
Pac vs Bradley was not close, simple to score, and a wide wide wide UD for Pacquiao. At best, Bradley won 3 rounds. If you're being really really kind he maybe could have had 5 - if you give him all the close-ish rounds. Pacquiao handed him his ass for the majority of the fight.
JMM did not hand Pac his ass at any moment of their fight.
This decision is akin to scoring the Cotto Mayweather fight for Cotto.
I completely agree. I'm a big fan of JMM and wouldn't have been insulted had he taken that decision last year in a close fight, but at this point he's just trolling to keep his name in the Pacquiao sweepstakes. That fight wasn't close last night, but you need to give credit to Pacquiao for handling it with class. He knows he won and didn't run around stomping like a baby. I just wish a future HOF boxer like Marquez would do the same and stop piling on a fellow boxer who's always shown him respect.
Thanks to Gerbasi for writing an insightful article in praising two future HOF fighters and appreciating Pac/Marquez 4 as something special. Too often, too many idiots on this site throw around nationalistic and racial slurs instead of actually discussing the fight game. It's refreshing to read something that raises and respects boxing, without displaying disdain for and/or taking a sycophantic tone towards either combatant.
What bothers lil floyd is that what he does is amazing but nobody gives him his props nobody respects his abality no matter how much money n ppv sales he does people dont like him, moneymay aint no thug hes a great actor he created an image to be notice n now hes tryna get "america" hes own country to back him up for the pacman fight
When did this become some USA vs the world thing? How is FMJ the new great American Hero? He's great boxer, a master of his craft, but as a person he leaves so much to be desired when he could drop the **** and grow up and maybe, just maybe become some sort of a role model. Instead he harasses security guards, terrorizes his gated community and beats the **** out of his children's mother right in front of them while paying tons in legal fees for his many court cases. Last time I checked that's not usually someone the general public supports as a national hero.
He is a thug. He's just a rich thug, who gets others to take his shots for him. By the way, that IS FMJ's personality. It's the one that he displays when he gets angry and can't control it.
People do respect his boxing. The guy has crazy skills, and he's one of the best ever to lace up a pair of gloves. An all time great.
So why does the other guy have to be called such a piece of garbage and a lower level human being when it's blatantly obvious that he's not. He's a reserved guy who tries to be respectful towards others, so that makes him two faced and fake?
America does love an ******* sometimes, we just like our *******s to have some redeeming qualities. FMJ doesn't seem to have that many. Throwing a few turkeys out to some poor people for the benefit of the cameras on 24/7 doesn't make up for all of the other crap.
Just imagine the backlash if it were Manny calling Floyd a nig....Saying sht like "I'll make him cook me some Collard greens and smack the fried chicken off his Black monkey lips".
there would be a worlwide boycott of Manny's fights. He'd be crucified. Then we'd have to hear from the clowns like Sharpton, James, Farrakhan, Obama, etc...about race sensitivity and racism.
But since it's Floyd....
Too many of these *******s fail to realize that it's not just a boxing issue. It's funny that many of the douchebags defending Mayweather are using the same tactic that Shaq's father used by saying that we shouldn't bring race into sports when the offending party is the one that hit below the belt in the first place. It's simply the typical double standard of apparently what has become the one untouchable minority group in America. If the roles had been reversed, the **** would have hit the fan. Let Pac drop an N bomb directed at FMJ on a U-stream rant.
Then we could argue that he meant it at Floyd and not all African-Americans or that it's just a boxing thing? That would be a bull**** argument to make in justifying something of that nature and so is this one.
To be honest, Marquez is playing this whole situation the smart way. He doesn't really doesn't have anything to gain in a fifth fight. His legacy in boxing was cemented with that KO after years of not quite being considered the great that Pacquiao was once considered. That right hand counter was not a lucky punch. Marquez was getting touched up pretty badly and he saw an opening an overzealous Pacquiao gave him by trying finish a round strong in the last 10 seconds. That's what happened. Plain and simple. Idiots on both sides need to stop ****ting on each guy. These two are elite HOF fighters and that's what can happen when boxers like that go toe to toe.
If Marquez doesn't land that punch maybe he gets stopped. If Pacquiao doesn't get hit with that punch at that time, then maybe he gets hit with it later. That's why there's so much interest in a fifth fight. If he loses in a fifth fight, he loses everything he gained in the fourth fight. If Pacquiao loses to Rios then Marquez is the one who gets to take credit for truly ending his career.
People can question his courage all they want to, but at the end of the day Marquez has proven his worth in the ring. Anyone who questions either of these guy's balls is a moron and not truly a fan of boxing. Fan boy bull**** is for comic geeks. Put your ass in the ring and do what any of these men do or train the way they have to train to fight. Make the sacrifices they make.
You can't do it.
That's why you're throwing mud at them from afar. Boxing is a ****ty, crooked business and they all deserve credit for leveraging what they can. Only a handful make it this far.
Not only that... how do you get a rep power of 8 with only 65 posts? How many other handles does he have that he uses to give himself Green K?
Hey, dickhead.
I don't give myself points. Never have never will. I posted opinions some people liked about 3 years ago and didn't get back on here for awhile because of *******s like you.
If you're the champion of intelligent debate, then don't play the ***** ass "let's gang up on him game" and post your opinions. Let's debate boxing, instead of my rep or the number of my posts.
how the hell you got 65 posts and joined in 2008.
Its called a job you stupid mother f*****. I also got turned off by the lack of intelligent objective boxing debate that has occurred since the rise of both the *****s as well the *******s. Do you spend your life on these forums? Do you think that somehow earning points and posting fragment sentences enhances your station in the boxing world? Quality vs quantity, dick-cheese.
its in usada long form report, they sent all his records between a 2 month period prior to them settling out of court, they had all the paperwork a full month before they settled.
You trust USADA's record keeping? Show me a link to the report. I'd like to read it anyway if it's there for public consumption.
For me, it's not even a Floyd thing. USADA can and will be bought based on who's paying their fee. So can state athletic commissions. Simply look at their track record. Boxing is still as dirty as it ever was. There's just a bunch of rhetoric and the illusion of transparency to appease the masses who believe everything. That's why they're referred to as sheeple.
To me it looks more like Schaeffer's trying to work out how to explain to a fan the c#ck that Broner's drawn on their glove instead of signing it.
That is too damn funny.
Your man love of FMJ is so blatantly obvious that I have no idea how you can continue to type while copious amounts of his jizz streams down your face.
Ever heard of the word objectivity? Both guys are great future HOFs for good reason. Is FMJ your best friend? Does he pay your rent? Did Pac murder your parents or kill your dog?
I'm willing to bet that the answer is no to all of the above.
So you built some rep points on a boxing forum...big ****ing deal! It doesn't make you an expert; it just makes you an FMJ fanboy and so who spends way too much time on the internet in between jacking off at FMJ 24/7 reruns. What a joke.
And for the record, I actually think FMJ's style and reach would be too much for Pac because I'm a true fan who can look at the match up from a pure boxing standpoint, instead of bringing in all of the emotion and acting like a little *****.
Damn, Jr? I was just starting to respect you again.
This just proves that Floyd is still a disrespectful ghetto piece of ****, just like his entire entourage. You want the other fighter to not only leave his promoter, but than take a smaller cut in doing so, yet you post dickhead memes on the internet instead of making the fight.
I appreciate you as fighter Floyd, but you keep proving that no matter how much wealth you accumulate you're always going to have that lowlife crutch/ victim mentality that our culture loves. You can't stand the fact that you're only popular in the lowest of circles and that Pacquiao despite his money problems is still more well liked around the world than you. Typical behavior. Just like Broner.
Don't post dumb **** on the internet. STFU and just make the fight happen.
This is an odd comment coming from Dana White because he's notorious for trying to serve up his fighters in order to make money. It reeks of absolute hypocrisy. He's been attempting to pit his champions from WW to MW against each other so that he can make money from super fights with GSP vs Anderson Silva and Silva vs Jon Jones. I imagine he's speaking from the perspective of a fan, but as a promoter he's the kind of guy that would put Pacquiao in the ring with one of the Klitschkos if he thought it would sell.
Anyone trying to use that video as an excuse is borderline retarded. There's no conspiracy. Your boy got beat down not because he wasn't the more naturally talented fighter. It's because he's an arrogant, and ignorant stereotype who fell in love with own hype. It's happened many times in boxing when the hungrier more committed fighter beats the more talented idiot who's keeping late nights and bull****ting around.
I picked Broner to win. I thought he would be smart enough to use his natural skill and utilize movement just like Alexander did to beat Maidana. He's too damn stupid to realize that he's not going to walk down Maidana like he did Gavin Rees. It's his ego and his hubris.
Say what you want about Mayweather, but when it comes to fight time he is a committed gym rat and he has a high boxing IQ. That is where they are worlds apart and why Broner will never inherit the P4P throne.
I'm not sure why Garcia is being so dismissive of Matthyse, but he shouldn't be acting like he accomplished something by beating up Morales last night. He was way past his prime. I've been waiting for his inner douche to emerge and I think this is only the beginning. You don't have that much of a tool for a father and remain as humble as he's been.
If he's such a world beater he should clean out the division by fighting Matthysse, Peterson, and Rios instead of taking on Zab Judah.
All of the "skeet skeet bang bang" morons are on here piling on in favor of their little ghetto god. You idiots are the blind ones, sucking Floyd's nuts to the very end. When so many people love such an absolute piece of ****, you know society is twisted.
What is "gang culture"? You people come up with the dumbest sh*t ever.[/QUOTE
I think it's obvious that too many ignorant mother****ers on here only respect fighters that they can have some personal identity with instead of simply admiring the person's skills as a fighter.
If a guy is just a normal human being, who's not making it rain or banging skanky strippers on World Star, these people don't like them. Not because they're bad fighters, but because they don't walk around acting like half-raised uneducated trash.
Hence the gang culture reference. The next time you refer to anything I say as stupid, look beyond your moniker if you're able to, in order to comprehend that it might be a reference in the cultural divide between the "keepin' it real" and other more normal human beings.
Some seriously dimwitted MFs on this site sometimes. God forbid that a minority aside from Latinos and Black people want some respect. Of course, they are outraged. For them the equivalent of what he said about Pacquiao would be for someone to say that Barack Obama eats fried chicken for dinner, watemelon for dessert and washes it all down with a Nehi grape soda. Pacquiao carries the hopes and dreams of a third world country on his back and is viewed in the same light in the Philippines as Obama. He is and has been seen as both mega celebrity and savior for years now.
Fuzzy Zoeller made a similar comment about Tiger Woods and was ostracized by everyone. It was well deserved. Why should FMJ get a free pass? Because he's black?
There shouldn't be certain "chosen" minorities that are deemed untouchable because of liberal white guilt and then groups that everyone can have a field day with. Why is it acceptable for certain groups to bully others around? When you do that ****, you end up becoming that which you've apparently hated the most and jumped onto a racist platform that has victimized all minorities at one time or another.
What's funny is that FMJ is a f***ing caricature of a stupid ghetto ass stereotype and while he has a genius boxing IQ, I'd say it's a safe bet that he's socially retarded. The problem is that despite all of that money he's too stupid to realize it and so are the people who defend what he did.
What a joke. Pacquiao won that. This is one of the worst robberies of all time against a PFP fighter. I just can't believe this ****. I'm done with boxing.
I try not to get too vengeful when it comes to fighters and their mouth pieces, but I almost want to see Danny Garcia take career ending punishment so that I never have to hear Angel's pie hole ever again. That POS gets away with racial stuff that most wouldn't. He almost **** his pants in Brooklyn when things got real with Judah. I like Danny Garcia as a fighter, I really do, but Angel has surpassed even the sycophantic Leonard Ellerbe as one of the biggest do nothing ass kissers in boxing; which means I want to see his son get stretched out Hatton style.
I want us to be worried about Garcia for at least sixty seconds after that fight ends just to send Angel and his stupid Moe haircut back into relative obscurity.
That being said, I do believe that Danny is a live dog in this fight and I won't be surprised if he wins.
Hate to break it to all the retards on bscene and "writers" but an average of over 1 million fans aren't buying Floyd's PPV's to see him lose........NO you morons we are buying to see him win!!
Floyd has more fans in the USA than any other boxer. As of right now that is fact. HBO knows this and so does everyone else with a brain. Knowing these fans who "buy" the fights are from "urban" mkts as Ross Greenburg puts it should make it obvious to anyone capable of deductive reasoning that these fans are buying to see Floyd win.......
Floyd more than anyone makes the fans open their wallets and give up their hard earned. This is fact. Fans who trashed Mosley and JMM as easy beats and cherry picked opponents surely did not buy the PPV's (with their hard earned money---> (in a global downturn) in the hope to see Floyd lose against these highly inferior opponents?? That would be stupid wouldn't it?????? :poke:
His popularity here in the states is more of a 50/50 split that mirrors popular culture at this time. Floyd tends to carry that ghetto street cred personality with him at all times which somehow gets described as arrogant and brash when it comes of as ignorant to some and cool to others. He does push PPV numbers because half of the people want to see him win while the other half salivate in anticipation of seeing his ass hit the canvas.
JMM sold numbers because it was more of a litmus test as a preview for his proposed showdown with Pac. I myself thought the size difference and skill was too much. My reasoning being that if Juan Diaz could hit JMM then Floyd could pepper him all night long which was pretty much what happened. SSM was viewed as more of a threat because of the speed and power, but again that excitement was based on the Margarito victory. I kept looking back to his performance against Mayorga as a comparison as well bc his success had been up and down in recent years.
After the recent video rant and weak attempt at an apology, it seems that more people will probably tune in to see him get beat if the mega fight ever happens even though I'm not exactly sure what will happen in that fight. That bout has so many intangibles that it could swing either way.
Broner is just following the FMJr self promotional blue print. However, he's not nearly as clever as Mayweather, so he comes off as borderline retarded and ignorant. He's your typical moron who cherishes all things ghetto while trashing fighters who are just fighters and not loud mouthed idiots.
Broner is simply an ugly reflection of what's wrong with society's youth, which is why he already has a huge fan base. Karma is a *****, and it will eventually catch up with him like it does to everyone. I don't have to be Nostradamus to predict he'll have either IRS, legal, and brain issues in the next ten years. Personally, I hope karma catches him in the ring in the near future so that intelligent human beings don't have to suffer through his act. I live near Baltimore/DC area so I unfortunately deal with a plethora of Broners on a daily basis who come from all colors and creeds.
I'm not a huge Garcia fan, but aside from Angel, at least that dude keeps his mouth shut and handles it in the ring.
That being said, I think he beats both Maidana and Matthysse because of speed and his offense based defense. He really doesn't get hit unless he doesn't respect another fighter's power. As stupid as he appears, he's not dumb enough to go into either of those guy's wheelhouse. He will be elusive and offensive enough as a Mayweather protege.
Remember that FMJr had killer instinct at lighter weights, but realized he couldn't play that game when he moved up. Broner has enough ring intelligence to do the same.
I'm actually surprised it took 3 days for the dimwits to come outta the woodwork talking b.s., since they just can't live with themselves knowing their ignorant no-class moron got his azz handed to him. Get a f ing life!
Yeah. A slick brotha has never ever been beaten in the ring by a guy with power in the history of boxing without cheating. That's the type of idiot who makes boxing about race instead of boxing. Everything's a conspiracy theory. That person should have a frontal lobotomy and be sterilized in the off chance that they could have offspring that could be exponentially even more stupid than they are.
I'm not one of those guys that think that FM is scared to fight Pac, I tend to think that he needs total control of the situation and if he doesn't have it he walks. You have to understand that this guy has had his ass kissed for so long that his ego simply can't fathom the concept of compromise for anyone. You're talking about someone who kicked his own father out on his ass at one point. He just doesn't give a f**k and he'll just keep justifying his reasons, while his entourage keeps nodding their heads in approval as they suck him dry. When he gets desperate he'll fight. He can't keep his funds straight with the IRS, as we all know, so he'll be dumb enough at some point to fight someone who will really clean his clock during the twilight of his career. At this point I don't think that Pac will give him the time of day.
That being said, I think he's really showed how utterly ignorant he actually is with that video. The apology was even more stupid with the convenient excuse that he knows a lot of people who are this nationality or that. It sounded too similar to the same excuse that white people use when they're caught saying some racist s**t.
"...take it easy, buddy. Some of my best friends are black people."
Everyone knows that line. It was merely a weak pathetic attempt to mask who he really is after all. A world class HOF boxer, but a piss poor human being who has reduced himself to fitting a negative stereotype despite his wealth and fame.
I think that both of these fighters legacies are secured, as they should be. They've both worked hard and done an enormous amount for the sport during this era. I think the big difference is that one has achieved his accomplishments more respectfully than the other and boxing history might smile on that just a little more.
