MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Angel Garcia, the father and trainer of WBC/WBA junior welterweight champion Danny "Swift" Garcia (26-0, 16KOs), was furious at Thursday's final press conference, dropping a series of bombs at mandatory challenger Lucas Matthysse (34-2, 32KOs) of Argentina. The two fighters will collide on Saturday night as the co-feature to the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Saul Alvarez Showtime Pay-Per-View event. Garcia shredded Matthysse's record, his level of opposition and the fact that most experts are picking Matthysse to win by knockout.

“Everybody wants to have their Argentine flags out, but they forget where they live at. We represent the USA. Danny is an American fighter. Background is Puerto Rican and I'm Puerto Rican. They say the American fighters can't fight. The USA gets no props. The same country that sends the welfare check to you.  You get that check and sign it don't you, then you want to be an Americanito.,” Angel Garcia said.
