I saw a video where the CEO of rival talks about different gloves. He says that "punchers glove" is a nonsense term and that the amount of force a punch has is almost exactly the same no matter how they're made as long as they're the same weight.
The only difference with Reyes and Mx gloves is that they may inflict more cuts due to the protrouding knuckle. Compared to foam, horse hair doesn't return to its original shape after a punch. This means that as the are used, the knuckle becomes more and more open (which is dangerous for both fighters)
He said they aren't really appropriate and that gloves should use both foam and horsehair to protect fighters hands and faces.
In that second video he does actually seems to have real fluid footwork, if you cut out the bull****. He seems to be able to move laterally and change direction rapidly with ease.
However, the truth is that elite boxers like Floyd operate on a completely different level to these tyoe of guys. So much goes into elite boxing footwork in terms of positioning, angles, distance etc.
Its their understanding of footwork that separates boxers like Floyd, BHOP, Rigo and Ward from the pack in terms of boxing IQ and technical ability.
To me Connor's shadow boxing suggests his idea of good footwork is to move around a lot without much thought. Thats why he would never beat Floyd 100/100 times.
