57 Puerto Rican born??? or of puerto rican blood? I seperatted them by "born in status"
So your telling me that for example, the child of a military man stationed oversees, lets just say, Japan, and that child was born in Japan, under your research criteria that child would be considered Japanese?
I'm a New York born Puerto Rican, doesn't take away my Puerto Rican nationality does it? I speak, read and write fluent spanish, have lived in Puerto Rico and know my culture very well, does that still NOT make me Puerto Rican?
Relax dude I ain't saying you can't be puerto rican. I'm saying that there are people born in foreign nations that fight for their "motherland" but the fact is they are born to this country. example: Wilfred Benitez was born in the USA but everyone knew he was hispanic, puerto rican to be exact, Example 2: De La Hoya was born in the states , the canizales brothers too, but are considered mexican fighters.
Exactly, so did you list Benitez under a Champion for Puerto Rico or the US and did you list De La Hoya as a Mexican Champ or an American Champ?
and I'm relaxed as can be brother, just wanted to state my point, thats all.
If Puerto Rico is not in the top 5 than the info you got is going off TOTALS, because Puerto Rico has produced THEE most World Champions PER CAPITA than any other country in the world.
This fight hasn't been signed yet, Goosen-Tutor Promotions and Showtime are already promoting a fight that the Champion Carlos "El Indio" Quintana has yet to sign because Goosen-Tutor are offering him little more than the chump change he got as the challenger in the first fight (around $300K) and is rightfully asking that they make a better offer or this fight will NOT happen.
Your in for a big surprise on June 7th if you think Ponce De Leon is going to TKO Juanma in the 5th round, there will be a new WBO Superbantamweight champion crowned on June 7th, Mr. Juan Manuel Lopez!
You speak of Margarito as if he were some kind of super athlete like Micheal Jordan or Tiger Woods, he's just Antonio Margarito, and come July 26th he will be exposed as the one dimensional fighter he is by the best welterweight on the planet, Miguel Cotto!
P.R. is the #1 factory & the cradle of boxing champs in the world. By geography distance u cant find a more concentration of champions in one area as big as P.R. in the planet. We've produced more than 38 world champions in boxing history. we dominate mexico in world title bouts at a 23-11 ratio(wow 2 think mexico is as big or bigger than the U.S.A). represent BORICUUAASSSSSS....only way they f..k with our fighter's is with plaster.lol...
The tally is actually officially up to 58 world champions for Puerto Rico with the two recent additions of Roman "Rocky" Martinez and Jose "Carita" Lopez, so its well over 38.
