"Sources tell Maxboxing that no more than 3,000 tickets were sold, and ticket brokers weren't exactly rushing to put in orders. It's difficult to have a secondary market when there isn't much of a demand for the event to begin with. Not only was this fight seen as a physical mismatch in many circles, the tickets (which ranged from $1,000 to $150) seemed a bit pricey, particularly in this current economy." - Steve Kim, Maxboxing
There are other fighters out there other than Floyd. If he wasnt biased he wouldnt be able to do interviews with him at his house or go to the hospital with him after the fight. It would be hard not to be biased if a guy gave you that much access and thanked your website at a press conference but it would be nice to see more headlines on there than the same old Floyd stuff. How about more on Kirkland, or more about the Khan-Peterson fight coming up or the Ward-Froch fight? Anything on Broner or Canelo ?
ADRIEN BRONER: "EXPECT FIREWORKS...THIS FIGHT CAN END AT ANY TIME"
AUSTIN TROUT: "AFTER WE DISPOSE OF THAT CHUMP MUNDINE, WE'LL BEAT ANYONE"
CHAVEZ JR. SCORES IMPRESSIVE 5TH ROUND TKO OVER MANFREDO JR.
ALEX ARIZA: "WATCH WHAT JULIO DOES...THEY UNDERESTIMATE HIM"
DELVIN RODRIGUEZ: "OF COURSE THERE WON'T BE ANY DOUBT...I'M STRONGER THAN WOLAK"
AJOSE OLUSEGUN: "MORALES IS SCARED...HE KNOWS I'M GONNA BEAT HIM"
Maybe you should try reading more over there than just the Mayweather stuff.
LOL
LOL at some of these comments. Truly funny.
Anyway, just out of curiosity, did anyone ever stop to think that maybe, just maybe Freddie Roach has something to do with Ariza's interview? I mean, considering how closely Ariza works with Freddie's fighters, I HIGHLY doubt he would say some of the things that he said without Freddie's blessing.
Just a little something to think about.
Carry on.
:-)
since im an unbiased boxing fan i will wait till another source confirms this before i weigh in !!!!! because fighthype is a floyd fanboy site !!!!!
Wait till another source confirms this?
LOL
It's an interview...not an article. Since when do interviews need to be confirmed?
LOL
Perhaps this snippet of audio will confirm to any other unbiased boxing fans that the interview actually took place:

:-)
Next why does Ben Thompson get approached so much? This type of news is wayyyy bigger than floydhype. Why does he keep getting these exclusives?
Floydhype since April/May never said anything about investors, but then when Arum brings it up, then NOW theres an article related to it?
Everything is fishy.
FORGET $65 MILLION! IS PACQUIAO AND BOB ARUM PASSING UP A $75 MILLION OFFER?

Hes on http://ropeadoperadio.com/ right now
LMAO at this Nonito Donaire shoemaker tool on ropeadoperadio. He's got it SEVERELY twisted.
LOL. Methinks I'll have to dig up some research and do my own "exposing". LOL.
No, look at the corner, Pernell told him to get under Khan's punches and hook to the body. Then he emphasized on pressuring Khan and throwing punches (Something Whitaker would have done).
I think it's safe to say that Judah's problems are mental and most likely a trainer isn't gonna fix that. Emanuel Steward will soon realize that with Chad Dawson as well, same issues, slightly difference problems.
Agree 100%
I heard they were blacklisted after doing several hate pieces on Keenan. Never a smart move to make enemies with the guy in charge of credentials. Our site is pretty close with Keenan and Golden Boy so no worries here.
Who did you hear that from? There's never been any "hate pieces" on Ed Keenan over there. If that was the case, wouldn't there be some evidence of these "hate pieces"...maybe some links to articles...or perhaps some search results on appearing on Google? There hasn't been anything talking about Ed Keenan at all on that site, so that just doesn't make any sense. I don't know...I might be wrong...but if I am, I'd love to see some of these "hate pieces" to find out more about this Ed Kennan character. LOL.
Do they have a video of the interview. Nothing against FightHype but it seems they favor more on Floyd.
Don't worry. They keep the audio to all of their interviews. LOL.
blackhope.com
the most biased non-black hating site on the web
I love posts like this. It really shows your true racist colors. LOL.
Hmmmm...this interview is very suspicious.
I hope Ariza acknowledges that this fighthipe interview did in fact happen. And I hope he acknowledges it in a bigger publication.
LMAO @ "this interview is very suspicious".
Why? Because it's on a site that you hate? LOL.
I'll tell you what...you don't have to wait for Ariza to acknowledge that this interview did in fact happen. Instead, you can listen to some audio clips yourself (unless, of course, you think these audio clips were somehow pieced together from prior interviews with him):

this racist site help get the mp8.ph site up and running, lol.
LOL. Make sure you redirect that idiot to this thread every time he keeps spitting his own racist comments out about FightHype.
Makes me even wonder why the so-called "black-owned biased racist site" even bothered helping a site for Manny Pacquiao in the first place. CLEARLY some of his dumb ass fans can't distinguish between the good people and the bad people in this business. I guess that shouldn't come as a surprise though considering that Michael Koncz is still in the picture with Manny. Go figure.
In a boxingtalk.net interview Zab Judah said that they almost have a written agreement to fight De La Hoya. Assuming he gets by Rivera on May 14th, Who wins this fight later this yerar in your opinion?
-Spinksjinx, can you try to post that Judah video?
Its a boxingtalk meembers only video, thanks.
Why don't you quit being cheap and just pay 5.99 to view it...bandwidth isn't free ya know.
Another fighthype aka bullsh*t story exposed as being completely false.
People who post fighthype stories need to be banned and fighthype the website needs to learn alot about journalism, not just eating popeyes with Floyd
Ummmm...pretty sure it was Manny Pinol at Philboxing.com who first reported it....and then Lem Satterfield over at RingTV.com "CONFIRMED" it.
PACQUIAO FIRES KONCZ
by Lem Satterfield
Jul 18th, 2011
Manny Pacquiao has fired longtime business advisor Michael Koncz, RingTV.com has confirmed through a source in Pacquiao's camp.
PhilBoxing.com, which broke the story, said "boxing icon Manny Pacquiao has finally dismissed Michael Koncz as his business advisor and manager of MP Promotions for a litany of missteps and blunders that has affected the boxing icon and his boxing promotional outfit."
The author of the article, Manny Piñol, also wrote, "Lately, Koncz has been making his own pronouncements and declarations apparently without the clearance of his boss, the Pacman, in relation to the dreamed fight with Floyd Mayweather."
LOL.
I'm just saying....
:tool:
dont worry, you have Ben Thomson on your side.. =) Remember what Ben said about Floyd vs Ortiz no negotiations then later on said he already knows about it ahead its just that he made promise to floyd thats why he lied! lol
LOL. Ben never said that. Ben simply asked Floyd last May if the rumors were true that he was fighting Victor Ortiz in September at Cowboys Stadium, as was being reported by Boxrec and others, to which Floyd said "absolutely not" (which apparently wasn't true since the fight took place in Vegas). Then when he made the announcement a month later, and some fool by the name of dsource, who makes shoes for Nonito Donaire, went around bragging about breaking the scoop hours before it was officially announced because he wanted to "prove to Ben" that he didn't have to talk to Mayweather to find out info, Ben just told him he had already found out about it off the record the day before. You dumb ass pactards really need to quit reading those whack ass articles from some scorned blogger who couldn't hack it at Fighthype despite making his own homemade shirt.
