Haney usually has a size advantage in his fights. Paro is the same size as Haney and a southpaw.
Paro has power in his left straight, Haney doesn't with his right.
Paro throws more volume.
Paro has a better team and ring IQ.
Can Haney fight on the outside without getting dropped with left straights?
This is a bad match up for Haney.
Paro has won fights in Australia and on the road.
Paro by KO.
And Regis says he'd be happy to travel to Australia for Paro. Not new for Prograis. He will fight again in the UK for the Catterall fight just like he did in the Taylor fight. Not a huge deal for Prograis to fight in someone's backyard. Unlike Haney.
Haney fought Kambosis twice in Australia, wym?
Signed up day of fight to post here. only got activated yesterday!
Tim got robbed here because although the fight was close, the rounds were easy to score.
Rounds 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 were straight forward for Tim. 115-113 is generous too. I'd argue outside of rounds 3 and 4, the other rounds given to Fundora required "creative" subjectivity.
Fundora had everything go his way, he's extremely tough fighter but Tszyu is a problem for every fighter at 154. They should strip him because they stripped Tim with judging robbery. Also PBC are lame belt hoarders, take them all.
Does Haney want this fight? Haven't heard him calling out Paro. Haven't heard him calling out anyone in particular like he used to since the Ryan Garcia debacle.
He injected himself on Prograis aggressively like we saw on their face off. Same way he behaved with Jojo Diaz. Regis says Haney came into their fight as a middleweight.
By the way, Liam Paro almost got identical build with Prograis. And according to Regis, Liam Paro was actually his mandatory before Haney injected himself to him. And Regis says he deserves the Paro fight more than anybody else.
Liam is skillfull with good feet and has a 71" reach. Similar size to Haney...
You do understand that however many times Ryan popped, it really doesn't tell us how this affected his power. We can hypothesize all we like.
Just like we can hypothesize about how much any rehydrating to a great extent before a fight affects Haneys ability. I know it's not against the law what Haney does, still does not make it right.
We know It got bad when Devin started to grow gills! Just kidding. I'll tell you champion what I tell everybody... If you make excuses for one fighter you have to make them for all fighters.
The fact is, Haney as talented as he is, his chin is suspect, the jury is still out, regardless of what happened in any particular fight. He may well prove his chin is up to par, I mean he is a young fighter I could see the possibility. I just want to see it.
Haney is on that SNAC program. Ryan is a dope but not a doper. He had trace amounts of Ostarine which is not really a performance enhancer a boxer would opt for.
Nonetheless, if Paro is even money or underdog, we betting on him to win.
Haney agreed to the weight, so bad luck to him. He showed poor fight IQ and they nearly robbed Garcia. Some judges think a jab and a power shot are equal in scoring....
Harrison and Campos were hardly Top 10 guys at 154. The Mendoza win carries more weight in my book.
At this point you're just hating on Tim Tszyu. Be fair with him.
As I said. Just another aggressive hype job that has no defense
Matias has great defence, he couldn't find his feet and was getting hit clean. He landed his jab when thrown but not nearly enough. Granite chin but he was worn down by the 9th.
Paro was underrated by most. Boxing isn't a popularity contest.
