Dwyer who has seen most HW eras, reckons this is the deepest era of them all.
It's better than the 90s. A fat 48 year old Foreman isnt beating Joshua.
And Moorer doesn't beat Joshua either
Quite possible if he gets b@nged in a few rounds in a one-sided fight.
He ain't beating Zhang and it's more a question of how he loses.
He's been protected from punchers and top fighters his whole career and I just don't see how he survives Zhang. He has neither the chin nor the skills.
The first punch Zhang lands will put him on Quееr Street and then Big B@ng will finish him quickly.
I'm hoping for a competitive fight but I just don't see it.
How strong is Zhangs chin?
Maybe Zhang has an iron chin. Ya think?
Joyce never bothered him with the same arsenal that laid Parker flat out.
I think Zhang has an iron jaw, he doesn't ever care care that Wilder hit him,
I must have missed it; what did he say, exactly?
I love that movie, by the way. A trash classic.
Right after the fight. In response to his rough start I think. He did the chant twice just like in the film to get stronger

joshua is still this man.
his win over the 0-1 MMA fighter doesn't change that.
Ruiz hits a lot harder than Dubious and is a better overall puncher. Evander Holyfield said Ruiz was one of the hardest hitters he ever sparred.
its not really possible to prove its a dive since the little slap left hook landed on his head before the right hand hit his gloves but yeah in reality he took a dive for sure
They tend to put a little bit more effort into fixes than that usually, right? I mean it's like they were to lazy to even try
Price’s chin wasn’t that bad, it was more his durability and stamina.
Julian Jackson was pretty chinny, Khan is definitely a good shout.
Jackson was never knocked out cold despite fighting G-man twice
It's not insane Johan Duhaupas ate about 100 right hands off wilder and even Arthur Szpilka who has a certified glass chin handled a few of them.
Who has Wilder put down and out that is known for having a good chin? Nobody, literally nobody.
Ortiz is yet to be koed by anyone by Wilder and he's in his 40s.
Might have to put fraud Haney in this thread.
He's been outweighing the lightweights he's fighting by 20-30 pounds and still getting lit up by the shots from much lighter men
Lmao.. he's no fraud. Just an arrogant ass
I honestly believe he is.
I ain't never seen someone 1 punch a true iron jaw the way he did Joyce. a legit 270 lb super heavy with an iron jaw who had never been down.
https://media1.tenor.com/m/pVmk_bkXM9AAAAAd/joe-joyce-zhilei-zhang.gif
did Foreman do Lyle or Frazier like that? No.
did Shavers do that to any super heavy? No.
did Tyson do that to Holyfield? No.
did Lennox do that to Holyfield? No. Was Holyfield even down once in both of their fights? No.
Most of Shavers fights when he was young aren't available. But he had a big KO to knockout ratio.... Around 75% which is massive. Most have 50% straight KOs.
So Zhang is not only candidate for hardest hitter. But also hardest chin? I think jarrel Miller's chin tougher
I think Ngannou hits harder since his arms are much longer and he's quicker to boot.
Comparing punches landed is somewhat like comparing fly balls. There are a lot of factors involved, timing is the biggest. Aaron Judge hits a lot of balls to the warning track.
I didn't see Wilder hit Zhang with a well timed right hand.
Then you need to rewatch it. He nailed him when he himself was up against the ropes and it didn't even stop Zhang in his tracks.
Either Wilder was overrated or his power has diminished with age. The velocity did not look different so I think it was a bit overhyped
Sometimes the biggest punchers aren't who you think they are.
Lennox Lewis got knocked cold by Rahman and McCall, he fought Holyfield twice, he fought Tyson, he fought Morrison, Bruno, Tua, and Mercer. And despite all that he claims that Shannon Briggs had the biggest punching power and fastest hands of anyone he ever faced. Briggs only fought like 8 world level guys in his whole career and he was .500 in those fights, and Lewis knocked him out in the 5th round. But he left a lasting impression on Lewis.
Briggs gave everything he had on Raphael Zumbano Love and could only decision him. Joshua flatlined Love
lmfao @ ruiz hitting harder than Dubois.
Dubious hit Hrgovic thousands of times and he could still only get a stoppage via a cut. He is not a massive puncher.
Frank Bruno. The guy's career is massively underrated. He could box, he could brawl, he had a big shot in him and he could match it with the best of them. He outboxed Lennox Lewis!
But you knew if he got caught he would turn to mush.
Haha. He could barely get out of a round with Tyson and all he resorted to was rabbit punching. Lewis just wasn't that good and would be fried by Tyson.
Parker beat him, there was no argument about that.
Hrgovic fight was close really. Hrgovic won most of the second half of the fight.
Zhang is nothing special. Wilder is shot to bits, Fury took his soul.
Zhang is good and I'm curious to see how Usyk deals with him.
So was prime Tyson good or not? You've got it both ways in the space of two sentences.
Bruno's performance against Lewis was excellent... but his chin failed him (again). That's the point of the thread.
Bringing Up guys WHO get TKOed by bombs are not glass jaws. And that included Julian Jackson jaw which was excellent. The fact that Jackson didn't go out Cold proves it
I always felt that whenever JJ got hit he stayed hit. Definitely a brave guy, showed resilience in the Tate fight- I’m sure there’s others which I can’t remember off the dome, but for me his chin was a glaring weakness.
Watch the mcallum fight and tell me his chin is weak
He also got dropped hard and fell hard into the ropes in fight 1. Are you saying the fight shouldn’t have been stopped?
I’m not saying he didn’t have heart, toughness or anything like that but his chin was clearly susceptible, it’s no coincidence all of losses were via stoppage.
Ref stopped premature against mcallum, and he could really punch back then too. The dude has never been out, he shouldnt be brought up. He lost by stoppage because he went all out.
Hes chin seems good its his ticker or gas tank that seems the bigger issue. Dude glitches on & off like Michael J Foxx after his mom starts wanting to fook him in Back to the Future.
Yeah but he doesnt collapse, he's just drifting.
I miss the old Bomber, that beautiful right hand was so devasting. I think it's time to hang it up and retire, every old dog has its day. He has accumulated a generation wealth that will sustain him in this time lifetime, if he invests and uses it wisely, which I'm sure he will.
Wilder still holds the highest ratio for knockouts in the Heavyweight division today, right?
Yes. Daniel Dubious is probably second. Second hardest puncher in the division however is either Zhang or Joshua without much dispute. And it's probably a toss- up between them
