Swearing to the gods, I know - but Thomas Hearns had a bad chin.
I disagree. I mean look at how many bombs he took at SRL vs Hearns rematch. Or the Iran Barkley rematch.
Linares can be stopped in a variety of ways.
1 punch KO, cuts, accumulation stoppage, body shots. Guy just doesn't hold up to damage in general despite being a fantastic overall fighter.
Linares is a great shout.

I always felt that whenever JJ got hit he stayed hit. Definitely a brave guy, showed resilience in the Tate fight- I’m sure there’s others which I can’t remember off the dome, but for me his chin was a glaring weakness.
Watch the mcallum fight and tell me his chin is weak
Ref stopped premature against mcallum, and he could really punch back then too. The dude has never been out, he shouldnt be brought up. He lost by stoppage because he went all out.

He also got dropped hard and fell hard into the ropes in fight 1. Are you saying the fight shouldn’t have been stopped?
I’m not saying he didn’t have heart, toughness or anything like that but his chin was clearly susceptible, it’s no coincidence all of losses were via stoppage.

Devin Haney
YES
He's a weight fraud and is a chin fraud as well. Sick thing is that he may have more power/more punch resistance if he just fought at his nature weight class: Lightmiddle weight.
Jackson was stopped by the ref

With khan if he can see the shot coming he takes it well like he did in the maidana fight. I also like his balls still facing punchers after being koed multiple times. David prices chin was just made of paper maiche for real.
Bringing Up guys WHO get TKOed by bombs are not glass jaws. And that included Julian Jackson jaw which was excellent. The fact that Jackson didn't go out Cold proves it
Jackson’s chin was far from excellent. Look how Nigel Benn responded to those same shots.
So was prime Tyson good or not? You've got it both ways in the space of two sentences.
Bruno's performance against Lewis was excellent... but his chin failed him (again). That's the point of the thread.

Haha. He could barely get out of a round with Tyson and all he resorted to was rabbit punching. Lewis just wasn't that good and would be fried by Tyson.

Jackson was never knocked out cold despite fighting G-man twice
He went down hard in that first fight though.
Jackson was the ultimate kill or be killed fighter.
