Amirs khan chin is the only thing that is his big potential downfall. People say that you cannot put muscles on a chin but i do think you can improve it to ceartin extent. I think defo with experience you either lose your punch resistance or gain it. FLoyd does this training with his neck and i think other then the castillo fight he has never been down. If khan beats madaina and takes a few power shot without dropping i think he can go on to beat bradely and devon alexander. Right now the only thing that bradley and devon have are RING IQ and exp. Amir khan has the most natural talent he just needs to fight quality oppostion like madaina and ortiz and learn new skills and improve footwork. He needs to be more fluid in his movement because at times he is a bit rigid and lacks head movement.
I do not think devon is hyped. I think he is a great fighter. his technical ability is underated. His slick southpaw stance with long range jab makes him an akward fighter for people to beat. He failed the olympic trials but despite this is very very mature for his age and does not appear to be on a learning curve but just gaining experience. He fights very well on the inside and outside and is accurate. I think either him or khan will unify the belts.
Amir khan should fight marcos madaiana or victor ortiz, not any bloated lightweights because that is not good for his progressing career.
i don't know how good bradleys next undefeated opponent is but bradley is giving away physical advantages. Bradley is 5'6 and his opp 5'10. Also bradley is not a huge jr welterweight and given he is going up in weight that is seriously wrong. However, bradley has the skills to beat da guy most prob:boxing:
If khan fights kastdis it would be a great experience for amir khan. I see this going in mair khans favour simply because he has the reach and speed advantage to keep out kastdis fighting him in the inside. When michael tries to come in amir will jab his head off. Expect a late TKO possibly round 9
Didn't you see paulie's neck jerked violently backwards and he fell against the ropes and khan was unleashing combo before he got pulled. Paulie would of fell any minute from there
Timothy bradley knows he would have to fight a very high risk fight against devon for low reward. This is the same if he fought khan but if he lost (I think he would) then at least he would have a big cheque.
Devon is the only fighter who is willing to fight anyone and is not conncerned about money because he knows that will come naturally.
Personally to me the issue of maidaina is a bit hyped up. Check how many people maidaina fought with losing records. You will see yes he is a ferious puncher but he is nowhere near roberto duran.
I see the best fighter in this division as either Devon or khan. It is simply because they both have world class speed power and skills. Timothy bradley is an incredible athelete but i feel he would be giving too much reach and height. In other words, he would be boxed on the outside by both fighters. He has power, but he has to really plant his feet to throw his signature overhand right. If you don't understand what im saying, look at bradley when he knocks witter.
I understand people are saying that because bradley is fighting for money and not respect he is being downplayed as a fighter who only fights for money. However, undertand that if bradley loses as with all fighters it is usally a high climb back up and low paydays. This is why if bradley faces devon he wants to be financially secure if its his first loss. A lot of boxers retire very poor unless you are sucessful in your career. however, that being said it makes him act like a journeyman and not seem as hungry as devon.
Don't listen to cunningham. He just trying to *** bradley because he was hoping to get a big payday. I am not a huge fan of bradley but i understand. In the end, boxing is a merciless sport and if you can take out enough money to start something else and your brain is still intact your blessed.
When people become obsessed fans; their reason for something is totally ****. Okay, manny was sick, what has that got to do with steriods. I am a fan of both fighters and i am neither filipino nor american. I am not being one-sided when i think the people who diss manny are jealous that a small filipino has made boxing history and because he is not american or whatever that it is impossible a filipino is a 7 weight champion. He is willing to do the new rule floyd wants but i expect you to think of a new excuse because thats your nature.
6 weeks is a long time if you think about it, fighting victor ortiz is the best opponent for him right now. That would be good exp. I think 6 weeks is enough and remember the guy you fighting has 6 weeks is well. Sugar ray robinson fought like every 2 months at one time in his career
Andre berto is a ripped version of timothy bradley. But anyway besides the point i do not think manny and floyd will care if he beats this guy, because for them it has to be a legacy fight that carries a lot of money. No offense, but to those fighters their like who is bradley.
I think its a bad idea for berto to go to jr welterweight. If he walks around at 160 pounds then going to 140 pounds is going to kill him. Berto, despite being a bit short has a very muscular and slightly stocking frame. If he went down he would look visibly weightdrained and would affect his performance because he is fighter who has a high work rate and relies on stamina, power and speed which would all be reduced. Against fighters like khan and devon he is asking to get knocked out
Kotenlik is a good fighor devon alexander but still makes him a relatively untested fighter. Until the champions fight we wont see any matched that decide the potential superstars.
