He is a great fighter but he still hasn't done much in the division. His KO over Juan Urango was a good win but Urango really isnt that good.
The JWW division is stacked right now to throw him up there at the top seems a little too preemptive at this point.
lmao @ the bold. he's good with good skills but great? lol then you wonder why he's getting too much hype.
Well honestly I consider every fighter who stands out at the pro level great. But, when I say it I dont mean like an all time great.

This has nothing to do with his attempts to get fights with Bradley or whoever else. It is the fact that after knocking out Urango all of a sudden he is considered the top 3 JWW.
He wasn't even expected to KO Urango and did, Bradley & Khan haven't fought in the pocket and scored any sensational against any recent opponents that had even close to Urangos chin, since when is KO'ing a man with a good chin in exciting fashion been a bad thing? Bradley and Khan have only produced exciting moments like that going down themselves and Alexander punches way harder than Holt and he blasted Bradley twice and Khan was outright destroyed with one punch, why is Alexander punished for winning the way fans like but Khan and Bradley have got blasted and put on the floor and now get a pass for not fighting guys that could even possibly do it again?

Bradley won't fight ANYBODY, Khan won't fight punchers and they are regarded as the Kings despite there selective stalling and choice of fights based on there own weaknesses. Devon Alexander is being made into the villain for pursuing the meaningful fights and trying to unify the titles. Some people don't care about the belts at all, some do and Devon Alexander wants to fight the other belt holders and give the fans some good fights that matter and the best they can offer is "Down the line, In the near future, it takes time, maybe next year or a few fights later, maybe after a tune up" it's all bitch made bullshit, they trying to black ball Devon Alexander because he wins in impressive fashion while Bradley and Khan merely get by and try to rape as much money out of people with there third rate fights that have absolutely no relevance whatsoever. If anything Alexander is getting the short end of the stick because cowards can use these lame "It's the way of the business" excuses to not fight.
Whether he is getting too much hype or not, he is a champion who is willing to fight other champions immediately, so you have to respect that. With that said, I still think Bradley beats him, but I'm not as strong in that opinion as I was before.
Dont get me wrong I respect any fighter willing to fight all top guys. Devon is just so young and his only big fight was against Urango who isnt that great and people are already throwing him up at number two in the division.
He could be great and it looks like he will be but people seem to get a little excited about him.
Urango has a iron chin...nobody here expected devon to KO him...that was a fantastic win for Devon
I give Cunningham most of the credit for the KO, to be honest. He worked Devon's entire camp around that one punch. He obviously saw something in Urango's style that made him vulnerable to the punch, and he was right on the money.
 His best win is against a one dimensional Urango,,,yup HYPE is all it is!!!!!
And I'm sure he will recieve more of it after fighting the dangerous Kotelnik
If you watch, Urango was getting to him before the KO. Urango was landing pretty easily actually.
That was my point.
If Urango could find the target on Devon then Bradley,Khan, etc won't have any trouble at all. Besides that though, Devon is the complete package and would seriously cause problems for both guys and any other top 140 pounders.
Cool it on the great fighter or great skills talk. There are only two fighters in boxing currently performing on a truly great level. Alexander isn't one of them. No knock on him either, but he hasn't shown me anything that proves he's anything more than a good, solid technician. Of course he has time to improve and I expect him to. But in this current scene, fighters of that level are hyped to more than what they really are because the talent pool and depth per division is remarkably underwhelming/mediocre.
I'd say Bradley and Khan are nothing more than good technicians (with solid athleticism), as well. All of the three young title holders at 140 have good strengths with clear weaknesses.
Recently, he has been over hyped especially since Bradley hasn't shown any interest in fighting him.
Devon is a talented guy though. If Devon can work on his defense abit more, he can really be special.

Devon should get more hype. He's 23 years old with 20 wins and no losses. With 3 dominating wins over former champions.
The kid honestly could be the next P4P king.
