well well David Tua never tryed to stay in shape and learn new boxing skills just buy staying in shape he could move quicker and have more opportunity to land his punches instead of that he comes in overweight and move/punch slowly and loose/draw/SplitDec very lesser opponents... i really hope he makes a sucessfull comeback i won't put any hope in him unless he is under 230 over he will suck just like he did in his last bouts
Speed is the key. A boxer with his style needs to be quick because Tua is sort of one-dimensional, his opponents just know what to expect from him, what he will be trying to do. A young and motivated David Tua was a joy to watch, let's see what his future will be like.
Does he actually have another fight scheduled?
On paper this is Wladimir Klitschko's fight to win: he is way bigger than Chris Byrd, survived Samuel Peter, hits a lot harder, won their first fight. But there is something that makes me feel Byrd is going to beat Wladimir Klitschko this time. I have been following both their careers for quite some time now, Byrd is much more experienced (both Klitschkos, Ibeabuchi, Holyfield, Tua, Golota, etc.). In my view Chris will be agressive, work Kltschko's body to wear him out and just rely more on his power than he ever has before. His power is a little underrated, he certainly almost had Jameel McCline out.
Byrd has a chance to win, and I believe he will win. :)
He certainly is as evidenced by the way he handled James Toney.
Toney was not in the best shape, but it still was a very good performance by Hasim Rahman. :) What I love about him is that he never ducks anyone.
I'll never like Tua just because of what he did to Rahman in the first fight. He knew he lost the 2nd fight so it's not like he did anything to rob Rahman. But that first fight he hit Rahman after the bell and got away with murder. Can't stand Tua.
Thanks for your response. I understand what you mean. Tua sometimes seemed to be frustrated, maybe he was too reckless in there with Rahman.
Hasim was unlucky often: getting knocked out in a fight he was winning, the Holyfield fight getting stopped on that huge swelling, the Tua fight(s). In my view only few boxing fans give him credit for his win over Lewis. Yes, Lennox was not fucussed, but Rahman almost took his head off with that bomb. Only McCall, besides The Rock, managed to do that. Rahman was and still is a good boxer.
