You said brothers not family you dumb! Floyd Sr. is his father not brother. Jeff Mayweather is his uncle (I think) not his brother. Pacquiao groupies are uneducated like their Lord. LOL
:nonono:
he said "Mayweather bothers", not "Mayweather's Brothers".
Sr. and Jeff are brothers. They are, along with Roger, the 'Mayweather Brothers'
....people that believe Bradley was even close to winning....:nonono:
(no disrespect to him personally though)
It's not happening. The feeble quit against Ward was the culmination of years of phoning it in. The fire has been gone since Johnson 1.
I agree that it is not likely, but it is not impossible niether
This thread sums it up fairly well.
A lot of people, including myself, were huge Chad Dawson fans, but his actions in and out the ring (pertaining to boxing) have been deplorable, as of recent.
Its not about him losing, its about HOW he loses.
If he was fighting with 100% until the last bell, not only would he not be losing, but even if he was he would still have hella hardcore fans (AND MORE).
..but hes been looking like he could run a marathon after his fights (which is good, if you aren't the LOSER)
He has not been showing the mental of a champion (Even though he has the tools to become a GREAT champion).
All that being said, CHAD IS NOT OLD AND HAS NOT TAKEN A LOT OF PUNISHMENT. I HONESTLY BELIEVE, IF HE TRULY BELIEVES IN HIMSELF AND STAYS CONSISTENT WITH HARD TRAINING, HE CAN STILL LIVE UP TO HIS POTENTIAL.
..there is no reason why he should have to live the rest of his life regretting, when he is STILL in a position to live up to his boxing dreams.
He needs to look in the mirror and ask himself "Am I built to be a champion?"
Hasim Rahman son.
thanks man
I see hes was apart of the Kronk team, under Emanuel Stuard, and he has a Olympic profile.
Wounder if hes on the 2012 team and when hes turing pro. I would like to think he has potential, being apart of the 'Money Team' and all lol.
Hes a HW at only 6'1" but comming from Kronk and an Olympic background he should make some noise.
How do I give reputation out? Or am I not able to because I'm at 0?
Shouldn't Ray J be in that pic too? And 50 should be holding a gun cause he is definitely no boxer.
Good job tho :fing02:.
...so I'm guessing you don't know who he is either
I don't consider myself a Miguel Cotto fanatic, but I do enjoy him as a boxer.
I only watched the first half bc the 2nd half was played out so many times before his last fight.
Such a beautiful place to live and train.
Thanks for the post
If that's Mayweather on the left, he's looking very jowly isn't he, euphemistically called "full-faced. Looks at least 160. Maybe it's just the angle and the lighting.
.
He's not required to put his fists up, just oint his finger. After all...he's the boss...
Dnno about 'jowly', but his face does look a litter fuller than usual. Like you said, could be an illusion though; But seeing the way 50 eats/snacks(last 24/7)it might be negatively influencing FMJ lol
haha, thats hella cool
2 of the most hardest working athletes in the world; & both the best in their sports
...too bad it wasnt the Lakers instead of the Celtics who celebrated winning with Manny a couple years back hehe
im sure he has some free time now that the NBA season has been halted... lol
..but I think hes playing in Europe..??
thanks for sharing brah
Martinez easily imo
Kirkland would have a punchers chance (especially since Martinez likes to keep his hands low) but his stamina looked pretty poor last fight. I think Martinez is too quick and mobile as well.
GRJ is a beast. u gotta love his work ethic; already acts like a champion. I would love to see him tested against lopez, salido, or gamboa next year.
Really wish he was fighting at home next weekend on the khan/peterson card :/
you're completely unbiased???????? you just joined last month. I won't play the alt troll game though................(but your typing patterns does match with a specific poster that I'm responding to in this very thread)
jumping to conclusions...............i didn't say you were a troll. i said that your typing patterns matches with another posters. if i accused u of being a troll i would just come out & say that you're a troll. you sound a bit insecure & emotionally unstable to claim that i "called you a troll"
Zenkai - LOL @ i sound insecure & emotionally unstable bc something u implied and cant admit to -
pacs aggressiveness wasn't effective because he didn't control the pace & it worked AGAINST him (marquez used it to counter punch his head in) marquez landed the cleaner shots. pac hit gloves, glanced, or missed all together.
theres nothing to discredit my argument because it is as clear as day. pac did NOTHING in that fight to win any form of decision. he didn't control the pace, he was picked apart by counters. he even let JMM answer every one of his flurries LOOOOOOOOOOOL
do u think Pac landed more punches than JMM? (YES OR NO, i dont care for anything else for an answer atm)
so being busier with his hands, landing more shots than JMM, and at a higher connect percentage is a part of this "Pac did NOTHING in that fight to win any form of decision"...?
Your sounding like a troll with your zero credit towards Pac (Acting as if JMM shutout Manny), u implying things such as im a troll/alt account bc i dont agree with you, and saying im emotionally unstable and insecure... o.0 lol
the fight was a robbery. theres no way pac won more then 5 rounds
...so its a ROBBERY bc u THINK JMM won a MAX of 2 more rounds than Pac?
.....:nonono:
Pac definitly won the fight. I was scoring the fight live from home on hd. I was even looking to give JMM more rounds, but the fact of the matter is, not only was Pac the aggressor the entire fight (..ring generalship...?) but he was more busy with his hands and landing more.
im really blown away with so many ppl seeming to really think JMM won this fight....
i think ppls opinions are skeewed bc ppl are so used to Pac dominating a shutout performance, and not use to him being hit as often as he was against JMM.
I scored it 115-113, and probably would give it a 116-112 but i was really looking to give JMM rounds
id give JMM the 1st 2 fights, but not this 3rd 1
i had the fight 8 rounds to 4 for JMM, that's a pretty hefty lead.....i don't see how anyone can give pac MORE then 5 rounds, you would have to be a serous pacfan (or have some kind of history of nuthugging pac) which most of the posters that are agreeing that pac won (if you go back in their old post you'll see that they have a sick HISTORY of hugging pac) ALL OF THE GUYS THAT I RESPONDED TO (who believe this) I'VE JUST FOUND OUT HAD A SICK HISTORY OF NUT HUGGING PAC.
so theres no secret of whats going on here.....
BTW the JMM fight was a robbery due to the fact that they've had 2 close fights already........JMM OBVIOUSLY won this one by at LEAST 2 or 3 points. the other ones were not as obvious as this one.
PAC GOT COUNTERED, CONTROLLED. & UNRAVELED IN THE CENTER OF THE RING. he didn't do ANYTHING to win this fight. throwing flurries & barely landing ONE Punch clean isn't enough. marquez had him TIMED & BEAT HIM to a decision this time..............
PAC LOST.............
the other fights cant make this last fight a robbery, reguardless of what happend in previous fights.
I agree that JMM had pac timed, but he did not do enough to win the fight. I am completely nonbiased. U can even look at my limited history and see that i was hoping JMM would make this a tough fight, and i did not care who won the fight, as long as it was competitive.
Pac landed more and was the aggressor the entire fight.
So all of a sudden ring generalship and punch stats (i had pac winning before i even saw the final punch stat #s, and when i did i wasnt surprised) dont mean nothing, especially in a close fight...?
JMM, just to shut up all of these ppl that watched the fight and was disappointed I (Pac) did not perform a shutout 12rnd dominating performace so that equals (reality: =/= ) a loss
you're completely unbiased???????? you just joined last month. I won't play the alt troll game though................(but your typing patterns does match with a specific poster that I'm responding to in this very thread)
pac didn't do anything to win. JMM did more then pac.........JMM answered every one of PACS "flurries" & he caught pac off guard repeatedly with counter punches..........pac didn't land more CLEAN shots. i could care less what the punch stats say just as much as i could care less of what the judges say (their all under the same arum pocket) pac was landing glancing shots or missing all together. JMM was landing perfectly place shots that popped pacs head back all night long. pac would land a shot on the gloves & it would be counted as a power shot. who cares if you're the aggressor. if it's not effective aggressiveness theres no point. pac was the aggressor but he wasn't controlling JMM. when you control your opponent thats called effective aggressiveness.......JMM was controlling the pace & the overall fight. it was a JMM pace not a pac pace....
pac was countered, defused, & exposed. JMM BEAT pac to a decision last Saturday but the judges weren't gonna give him the fight. thats why people threw bottles at arum & team pac because that camp is DIRTY.
Are you serious brah? So anyone that hasnt been a member for years is a troll? And your implying Im an alt account of someone else that your responding to?.... <-- this logic (or lack there of) is discrediting your agruments alone...
Pacs aggressiveness was effective. Its bc of his aggressiveness that he landed more and at a higher percentage. Yea, JMM land some punches that wiplashed Pac but A LOT of his punches were hitting gloves. If you really think Pac landed less than JMM did than you are delusional (And i can see those tendencies in the fact that you think Im a troll alt acct. bc I dont agree with you)
Boy oh boy how can I put this too make it sound manly. Well my bro and his wife are throwing a party to celebrate thier pregnacy. In other words a baby shower.
....should of lied and said bc of the Showtime card lol
:joke:
congrats to ur bro and sister-in-law
Johnson has had a legitimate gripe in some of those losses. Definitely not last night, though.
this.
hes definitly had a right to complain in some of his prior losses, but last night was rediculous.
I was thinking maybe he was just 'interview dazed' and after that lopsided fight, his age, and maybe his weight, he was just alil punch drunk and resorted to what he usually says in post fight interviews just to stay in his comfort zone
..maybe..maybe not.... but I'd like to give him that benifit of the doubt.
I want to see Johnson and Green fight again so we can weed out who belongs in more of these elite SMW fights, and then Johnson can atleast have an oppertunity to win Green's belt :lol1:
BUT
i still picked Hopkins
I'd have to do some reading on this.
The heat was indeed a major factor.
Robinson was moving a lot in that fight, more so than he had done at middleweight. While he was moving, he was also throwing and landing punches but Maxim, taller and naturally bigger, was pushing on Robinson every chance he got.
The combination of Maxims size bearing down on Robinson and Robinson's own tactics or continuously moving was tiring the great man out. Add to that very high temperatures and it became unbearable for Robinson at one stage and his body went limp.
If he had some how made it through to the next round, I think Maxim would have KOd him.
Btw watch the fight, it's quite good and not as one sided as many say. Maxim won his fair share of rounds.
Iirc, the referee for that match had collapsed due to heat exhaustion
If the ref did with his relevantly little movement, just imagine how SRR was feeling actually being in the fight
No,but Maxim was heavier and stayed on his feet.
True, but he lost almost every round of the fight, iirc. Doesn't take much work to lose every round.
Sugar Ray Robinson was a very active and fluid mover in the ring; Not to mention he was the fighter moving up in weight for this fight.
Gary Russell Jr (only 1, and before that 1 he was inactive for over a year)
..he even abandoned his twitter acct. since Loma was clowning him on it in April.
