Can't see Evans doing much here, Cardle's too big and strong for him and just walking him down.
I wasn't a fan of Evans antics in the weigh-in, he looks like a punk. Hope cardle stops him.
Could I get a link as well?
I usually use hunters, but i get tired of it.
Done.
Im not really a streamer, so not sure if the quality will be everyones taste, let me know if that's normal or terrible.
If anybody has a stream, I would also appreciate a PM.
Cheers.
Done.
Poor ref. Howard foster strikes again.
He looked wobbly, but wasn't taking many hits at that point.
It starts at 5. On Sky Box Office. £17 Pay Per View i think.
I'm sure it ends by about 23:30 roughly. Due to the large crowd size they have to finish early so everyone can public transport. I don't think it goes till 1. I think Brook is supposed to walk about 22:20? so they've got enough time to squeeze everything in if they all went to points.
Froch Groves had a massive push from sky sports based on the bitter rivalry and the controversy . A national tour, with loads of media coverage over months. It captured the casual market on channels like Sky Sports News, which has a large "soccer" audience. It was aired at Prime Time UK. That did 900k?
AJ vs Whyte again had months of build up on sky sports. They pitched the bitter rivalry with a few documentary style build ups and pushed it mainly on a large "soccer" audience channel, capturing the casual market. That was again aired at prime time and did 400k?
Floyd Vs Manny, was the biggest fight of ALL time. This got a huge push from sky and due to it's magnitude, did fairly well. It aired at 3am in the UK, and still only managed to do 400k reportedly.
Neither Khan or Canelo have a big following in the UK. There is no big rivalry. There is no controversy. The's no bitterness. It's unlikely to receive a big build up, no documentaries, or head to heads to spice it up. It's going to be aired at 3am most likely. I can't categorically say it won't do well, but i'd be very surprised if this did good PPV numbers in the UK.
Some speculation that he did that to facilitate a move to Hearn and Matchroom soon.
Apparently Franks contract have a clause where they automatically extend by a year if they win a title.
Doesnt make much sense to me seeing as Warren has done pretty well by Liam and now has this BT Sport deal. At least see where it goes. Guys like Liam Smith would presumably be getting a big push to help create some names for Warren to put on BT.
He probably just misjudged the weight after a bit of a lay off. All Gallagher fighters cut a lot to squeeze down in weight
Interesting info if that is true, both about his potential move and the contract extensions. I can understand him wanting to join his brothers and get better pay days. Okay he got a big payday but that was purely because it was Canelo. Nothing to do with Frank betting him a good deal.
As you say though, he'd surely be a top 3 fighter to get a push under the new deal, already a reasonable name, etc, they need marquee fighters for big shows through the year.
Why is women boxing suddenly being televised? They try to sneak them in before the main event, its sh*t.
Because the UFC made 10's-100's of millions off the back of Ronda Rousey and now everyone wants a piece of the pie, if they can get a female PPV star.
He probably has more prospects than Hearn, just not many finished articles to headline his shows
That's how i see it.
It's a shame in some ways that they got these Olympic prospects etc at the same time as the TV deal, they really need more talent right now to build the brand.
It reminds me of Match Room about 4 years ago in some ways.
It's obviously great they are a decent opposition for Sky and Match Room, but can't help but feel it'll be a few years till they are really competing.
It's like UFC and Bellator.
Flanagan is quite a smart fighter, quick and agile, yet you here him speak and he sounds like a proper stoner, or punch drunk. Always surprises me when i here him speak.
