More people tune in to watch Canelo's ATG Snake at weigh-ins than any professional rolling and hugging match.
their aren't even that many mexicans with access to PPV
This is not a sport!!!
Correction, boxing is not a sport. It's what REAL fighters do to spar. You keep paying $70 to watch Mayweather and Klitscko jab and run for 30 minutes though. ;)
lol at dem figures.
All the while Dana White pays his fighters pennies. Silva and Weidman were to collect 800k combined in earnings without bonuses, considering they sold 4 million PPVs (lol), they got swindled hard.
that's why the UFC is alive and well and boxing has to rig fights to keep their draws relevant. Anybody that saw Mayweather/Alvarez knows. Obvious split decision robbery shoulda gone to CANelo.
the google searches leading up to the fight and after were only at 500k searches, which implies it's in the 600k range. Only after the UFC's most disastrous moment ever did the google searches in increase. Do you have a linlk for your 4 million PPV buys?
Here's the link for Jones, Cain and GSP's disastrous PPV flops. As I'm sure even you can clearly see, the UFC is so ****ing screwed.

Dana is a gentlemen and a scholar. He doesn't swindle.
**** your Asian friend. Must not be too much of a friend if you can't specify where he is from, in "Asia."
Why does it matter, Asian is Asian. No better authority on math. My numbers are legit.
lol i didn't think you guys would take an obvious troll this seriously. I actually enjoy boxing and prefer their PPV/event model to the UFC's. Not sure how many people here actually follow MMA consistently either but they're switching their model starting this saturday with some overseas card that you have to pay a $10 monthly fee to see a bunch of foreign cards, watering down the sport even more. Hoping they get this **** sorted cause it's getting expensive being an MMA fan.
Uh, ok, I didn't know that. I know that we used to never be able to find boxing at bars when a PPV was on but they would always be like "No, we won't be showing the Roy Jones fight but we will have UFC (insert # here) on, you should come in and check it out".
We eventually just gave up on trying to catch PPV's at bars and stuff.
They show Mayweather's fights at the theaters and the bars (BWW's) here quite often. Not sure they will after his latest jab and gab performance.
MMA Pay Out had it approx 750k. 4 Million :lol1:
my asian friend on twitter says otherwise. That number is more than realistic when u factor in Silva, Rousey, and rumors of Brock Lesnar being in attendance.
Based on trends word is Silva vs Weidman bombed and is estimated to be around 600k ppv buys. It's also just come out that Silva vs Gus did a mere 310k buys, that's right, the UFC's next big superstar gets lower PPV buys than Tim Bradley. Hendricks vs GSP was also down graded to 600k. The UFC's HW champ is also no better with his last fight doing just 300k ppv buys.
lol pfft link?
