Floyd vs Brook is going to get announced tomorrow, watch.
That's cool if it does bc it GGG ppl were smart they will get him in there with a Lara or his skill set at 158. One to see the style and cut weight over two fights and not one. I wanna see they fight, but its premature. May makes since.
The dehydration is a serious factor, making a GGG fight almost not worth it(still better than Brook/Thurman)... sad fact is, Lara-Floyd is literally the only worthwhile fight right now that could be easily be made(Lara is a hayman man)...
Question to anyone who might know:
When the hell does Floyd plan on announcing his next opponent? Doesn't he cheat his opponent by delaying announcement (giving him less time to train)?
Who ever he's fighting the camps have talks far before they confirm the fight. The only time info is leaked is when one camp is ducking the fight or negotiating thru the media ie arum and Manny. Plus Mayweather Trains all year to fight and he feel you should be doing the same.
Yeap your prolly a broke racist who blame your shyt life on Obama. Why would a guy who has mad a half of Billion dollars be on Obamacare.
Actually I love in Vegas and I'm more than well off. I have posted my actually Instagram on here several times.
Floyd's bigger than Haymon, he chooses his own opponents. HBO would probably be the biggest stumbling block but I don't think they block that fight because of the exposure Golovkin gets.
I hope it happens too, but without any rehydration limit. It's one think starving yourself to make weight but another not being allowed to eat again after you do it.
Golovkin via knockout early.
Yea it will be tough negotiations nothing could be leaked to the media. Yea HBO will stand firm on the hydration clause bc they can risk floyd beating their last super star without them keeping the size advantage and they will want a favorable split in case GGG does lose.
Boxing sources close to me have confirmed a @FloydMayweather vs @GGGBoxing fight is in early negotiations— PhillyGodfather.com (@phillygodfather) July 2, 2015
I don't like it. It's one thing for Golovkin to drop down to 154, but the rehydration clause is a whole other issue. There's very few current JMW's who could make 154 the day of the fight.
It will prolly be 155 and 170 night of the fight.
LOL thanks for that misleading title. My heart jumped for a second, blood boiling and everything ready to go psychotic.
That coward WILL never fight Gennady. He knows GGG DESTROYS HIM, BREAKS HIM IN HALF. And Gennady is willing to come down to 154 where he fought Canelo... NO EXCUSES. AND FOR A 160 TITLE. Poosy boy is dead scared and ducking the fight hard.
Look man everyone on this thread has had an opinion. No one was disrespectful in making their points. Don't ruin a good discussion with your personal bias.

That's crazy I search the web and didn't find anything on it. But I knew deep down negotiations has have at least been had when everything went quite.
If the fight happens I hope Floyd has his Obamacare cause he's going to need it afterward ,he might just end up like Gerald Mcleam
Yeap your prolly a broke racist who blame your shyt life on Obama. Why would a guy who has mad a half of Billion dollars be on Obamacare.
Has Golovkin ever made 154 or even came in below 158-159? This fight makes no sense.
I don't know off the top of my head. GGG and HBO wants the fight Floyd can get over 154 I personally think 156 is fair.
dude i would lose my mind if that happens. and if it did i wouldnt diss lil floyd ever again..actually since floyd beat manny ive decided to give him all the respect in the world. floyd is a great great fighter. but the pbc and haymon well thats a different story let me tell ya
I just feel if Floyd goes for 50 it has to be Golovkin. He takes another fight at 154 carry the weight for the whole 6 months he can grow into bc he's not fighting again after. Golovkin has to get a real opponent for his next fight. Do more tv more interviews get the casuals to know his name and the fight sells and it sells big at least 1.5- maybe close to 3. Even though he's foreign he's white. He's bigger he's a knock out artist the general public will buy this fight the Latinos will buy it will be a good event. Win or lose so what Floyd makes off with a a half of billion in career earnings that zero is worth that.
Per Iole:
"I'm not suggesting that Mayweather should fight Golovkin or should be ridiculed if he declines to do so if such a bout is offered, because he is a welterweight and Golovkin is a middleweight. That said, it's not outrageous to suggest that they fight, because Mayweather does hold a 154-pound belt and Golovkin has repeatedly said he could make 154 pounds easily. If you're a 154-pound champion, then you should be ready, willing and able to fight anyone who can make the 154-pound limit.
There was ample evidence presented just last week that proves Golovkin could make it. On the Monday before the fight, he weighed 161 pounds, just one over the middleweight limit and only seven away from the super welterweight limit."
Cutting weight is so hard on the body tho. So of course he's gonna lose a lot of power and even more energy. So that's why I say 156. Look at your body when you have the flu. You lose so much weight bc you body is taking ever resource to get you better. That's what causes the fatigue. At 154 GGG is a lot slower weaker and tired than at 160. Which negates all of his advantages except prolly power but swing and miss all night will have him tired weak and dehydrate by round 8. Live it sounds like a good fight. On paper GGG is at a major disadvantage throw in the a hydration clause forget about it easy ud for Floyd Floyd. The fairest scenario 154 no clause 156 with clause.
When posters bring up Lara V GGG, fans respond by talking about the Haymon factor and politics.
When Floyd v GGG is discussed, those same posters don't talk about either even though Floyd is Haymon's #1 guy and actually has a Showtime deal while Lara doesn't. Interesting!!
I hope it happens. I got Floyd by UD.
Boxing is all politics. This fight will be hard to make. Bc HBO isn't just throw their last star away. The split the rehydration clause all of that. Will have to be generous to HBO.
Dude is a businessman. I know nothing about him but I'm guessing that he got an MBA from a school like Yale or Harvard or something right? He's a greedy business mogul and he'll do whatever it takes to make that cash. Smart guy I'm sure but there are many people like that who graduate from those ivy league schools all the time.
His ideas are not novel, he saw a free opportunity to get even richer so he took it.
People who find cures to diseases or develop incredible technologies are geniuses, true prodigies.
What would you can Steve Jobs, Bill Gates or Warren Buffet? Bx I call them geniuses and visionaries and they have cured anything.
He has to build up some stars and story lines. That why they were so advantageous with buying all the time up front. Around the time the money starts to be burned up they will be putting on barn burners and getting a kings random for them 3 to 4 times a year.
You obviously are one of those Malignaggi esque people who think being a boxer is a stable career move with a steady paycheck. Wrong. Cotto and Canelo have made millions and boxing isn't meant to be micromanaged to the extent where you have underserving guys milking every facet of the fight. Being a boxer is not a career! For the lucky few, they get what they put into it and in rare cases become a star. It is a competition and entertainment sport. For any professional boxer to get a career high pay of 1 million dollars is extremely rare. And to sit here and pledge your allegiance to the guys who have already made it, who are literally just taking advantage and milking their career in return for their f*cking spine and self respect just shows how idiotic you are about all this. Floyd Mayweather and his diva competitors are so quick to cry out wrong doing when boxer's, mainly themselves don't get their just do. But the minute the word "collective" comes into play with their over the top earnings they shut the f*ck up. Because you know and I know boxing is a chest game and those who make it, make it. Those who don't, don't. These kind of boxers you defend are millionaires and can do anything they want in life. Instead they chose to continue exploiting the idiotic casuals, otherwise betraying the paying fans to line their pockets before it's to late.
Boxers have been getting ripped of for the tune of billions of dollars thru out history. I'm a boxing fan and historian. I like all aspect of the fight game and the business side being one of them. To be honest you guys are mere fight fans and nothing else. You don't understand that only about 20% of the fight game is actually fighting the rest is politics. Through history boxers have been force I take dives, fight with broken hands ribs concussions black balled ect. Through out history guys have been mismanaged and fcked over force to fight well past their prime bc some shady promoter ripped them off. Yea to crack a million dollars is rare but was is even more rare is boxers that were actually looked after by their promoter and manager. I'm not saying guys should take easy fights an avoid competition. I'm saying stop acting like it's a crime when they do it every so often. I wanna see all the best fights Loma rigindeaux, Canelo Cotto, khan brook, mares Santa Cruz, Danny broner and Bradley Thurman and so many others. Just bc some of you guys don't understand how business works don't be mad. Showcase fights are here and they are gonna stay so stop complaining. I'm glad fighters are getting top dollar every time they step in the ring. It hasn't always been the case and it's due well past due. All of you guys talking about good competitive fights forget about all the old champs who did just that and are know homeless on the street. But they have us good fights doe, where is all the fans now???? Exactly it's called prize fighting for a reason.
You are wrong about going to the back of the line.
If a good fighter loses they can bounce back and avenge their loss, this is what makes great fighters, you dont have to be undefeated to be a ppv star.
So many ATGs took a loss and it didnt take away from their career, its how they came back that made them so great.
So if Canelo or Cotto lose they are gonna be in the driver seat headlining a big show immediately after? I think not. They will have to work their way back to being the a side.
Problem is if you pay them top dollar to fight mismatches then they will want unrealistic money to take a fight where they could possibly lose.
It will become unsustainable in the the end or they might start to refuse to take big fights.
Creating bad habits is not a good idea.
I personally want the best fights while fighters are in their prime, just imagine what may v pac would of been in 2000, instead of what we got in the end.
I get what you saying, but they will always be big fights and some one always lose and go to the back of the line. Just like with Canelo and Cotto. They both made a lil bit more money before facing each other. Bc one is gonna lose and go to the back of the line and one is gonna get a king ransom win lose or draw with GGG. Both guys insured them selves two pay days with the option of a monstrous third one.
In the case of your idol he butchered the cow after JMM already slapped it stupid so after 6+ years of waiting "The Fight" ended up being one of the most boring washed up sparring matches of all time.
You are not a boxing fan. You are a person who is obsessed with another person and lives vicariously through him. Boxing fans like BOXING.
See wrong again. I'm a Muhammad Ali fan. I'm not a fan if any of today's fighters. I watch boxing in general. I root for the under dog or for it to be a good fight. Some fights I'm going for both guys at the same time. I'll like the rush it gives me I like breaking down and analyzing what's going through their minds seeing the gameplan play out. See what a lot of ppl don't get not all black ppl are floyd fans. We just understand that a large amount of the hate he receives is bc he's black not all but some. Floyd is not some god, most black ppl hate his fighting style to be honest and thinks it's boring. A lot of black ppl root against his haters then they actually root for him. I don hope Floyd win bc he's my favorite boxer. Angulo was my last favorite then I watched Canelo beat him live so know I ride with Canelo as my guy. I hope floyd wins bc I like what it does to the ppl who hate him more than the actual victory. Same with PAC blacks don't hate him and prolly like him better than Floyd. But his fans are annoying so we a rooting against his fans more than him. So pleas don't ever call floyd my idol ever again.
He's probably young and thinks there's some chance he'll be in their shoes some day. I don't know why else a "boxing fan" would praise lame fights/huge paychecks.
Nope I'm 28 grew up in the Bay Area and the west side of Fresno. I have been fighting my whole life. We boxed everyday after school for fun until 10th grade when had the power to consistently knock each other out. I know what it feels like to get beat up. So I can never knock any dude who agree to fight for a living win lose or draw your gonna get hit and it's gonna hurt everytime. I'm not saying I'm for easy fights. I'm just saying I have no problem with a guy adding to his nest egg before he career is over.
Perhaps you should give money to a children's charity if you want to help the world.
These are professional fighters who can quit and do something else if they want. The ones on the top level make way too much money for anyone to justify and their jobs aren't statistically more dangerous than that of a soldier or lumberjack.
I call for MASSIVE pay cuts and more competitive fights.
Give me a break you, a lot of you poster have one track minds. I'm nightclub host I'm make double that of a teacher, but that's just life. In my job I'm bring in a million plus dollar of revenue so I make a commission where as a teachers job is a million time harder than mine I get paid more bc I bring in more. So yes if I'm floyd Mayweather and I bring in a billion dollars I do deserve two hundred million of it.
I personally prefer quality fights, not lots of rubbish ones.
You are not a real fan of the sport obviously.
I prefer boxing period. Your not a real fan your a selfish prick. To not understand that these guys do have life and families after boxing to live. It's easy for you to say when you're not in the ring or in training camp and if you think the fight is gonna be rubbish don't watch no one forces you to. I hate when fights turn out to boring, but I could never fault a man for making a sound business decision either. The truth of the matter is, a lot of you guys don't get it. A large patch of boxing fans are cowards and chumps who have never played a sport or got into a single fight. So they have this sick twisted obsession of getting off living vicariously through guys who beat up other guys. So they wanna see blood and guts everytime. Go fck yourself bud.
Call me crazy but I like competition sports to be competitive. But here's my issue aside from that. The guys you are talking about are elite fighters. They are paid big money because they have a skill that the rest of the world doesn't. If they do what everyone else can, why should they be paid like they are special?
Let's say you are a heart surgeon. You have a skill that very few people in the world have, so you are paid accordingly. But if you decide to wash cars on a weekend, don't expect to be paid big money for that too. Because there are tons of people who can wash cars. You don't deserve big paychecks to fight guys that anyone can fight. You only deserve top money to fight at the top level.
But in everything in life to get to an elite level you pay your dues along the way right. These got also fought for no money before. Made little to no money fighting 8 and 10 rounders and opening fights on Friday night fights. Making a lot of ppl around them more money than them. So excuse me if they wanna capitalize on their hard work they didn't get paid for every once in a while. I heart surgeon also had to do a residence before he makes big bucks right or wrong?
I want to see the best fights being made, im not sure who wants to watch a mismatch in any sport.
Its like watching the NBA championship with the top team vs the bottom team, who wants to watch that?
People want to watch the most skilled/best fighters go at it, its the dam pinnacle of the sport.
If you dont like watching guys get beat up then combat sports arent for you, go and watch some golf.
The best fights do eventually get made, however you can milk the cow and butcher it later. Your trying to make my topic something that it's not. I'm not saying I don't like combat sports knock outs or the best fights being made. I'm saying from the other side of the coin guys are gone do what's best for them and I accept that too. Danny porter broner Madiana Lucas Thurman all know that eventually they will rise to the top or get knock off the hill completely bc sooner or later they will all have to fight. So until then they are gonna line their pockets. Bc if they get knocked off the checks stop coming in.
almost as good as my sig quote
I seen what you did there. But that's why the all time greats hate floyd. Bc he started this new business model. To put the careers back into the hands of the fighters and they didn't have that luxury.
I'm sure haymon presents his guy with a list. So if I'm Garcia and the list breaks down like this.
2.5m to fight Herrea
3m for the Lucas rematch
4m to fight maidana
I fight Herrea first make the easy money.
Prolly fight Lucas after. Then if a Maywather fight comes up I cash in on myself knowing I most likely will lose the reward is worth it. Everybody on here whines about it but will most likely due the same.
what?? they only get paid cause of the fans. Who the **** wants to see Garica vs Salka or Santa Cruz vs a cab driver?
No one but in that case you speak with your wallet or remote. In a lot of the cases investors pay a lot of money for a whole bunch of match ups like pbc and those mismatches are provided and adjusted for. So if the staduim was empty it wouldn't have mattered. Boxing need the front runners to be front runners until the next big thing or things come along. Pac Crawford at top rank. Canelo for Oscar at golden boy. Broner garcia khan or Thurman for Mayweather. It's a lot of time and money invested. So you can't kill of the main characters the first season. You bring on special guest who be come co stars to replace the stars you kill off. That's just the business of boxing. So as much as we would want to see Thurman Danny Lucas Maidana and khan all beat up on each other every two-three months boxing isn't structured that way. So on you way to making big fights you have to give them showcase fights in the mean time.
Time is not on floyds side.
Another fight or two. GGG beats some one soon on the world stage. He will get exposure and the public would start saying he will beat floyd and either way casuals would buy it.
lol, ni**a please
I have a 10" c0ck, have $100,000 on me right now, with a bunch more in the bank (I lost count after 5 million) I bang 5 women a day, drive expensive cars and have a pet tiger in the back yard of my mansion.
See how easy it is to post B.S. on the internet.
gtfo with your nonsense toughguy.
See that's thing I don't give a **** if your lying or telling the truth. But what I do know is this. When you reached my body count the only thing that remotely differ about pssy is being with someone you haven't been with before. In five minutes after that wears of it's only pssy. Word to the wise for you boys who don't get pssy next time you in the club get drunk dance smile have fun. Don't talk or approach one single girl in the whole club. But dance to every song and keep a drink in your hand. See how many women come make conversation with you.
