Tyson used his jab to get by his opponents own, he'd get inside, maybe land a combinaton, and then get out. That is not inside fighting. Inside fighting is about leaning into your opponent and beating the hell out of their chest and body.
haha. Imagine inside boxing like this. This is the danger meter:
After being inside for more then 6 seconds, the danger meter is full and you should get out before your opponent gets you with the hardest punch in your life.
Jab, whop, inside with a combination or three, get out. (y) That's smooth.
lol? Tyson is 5,10. If he would fight outside, how the fuck would he become the world champion?
Tyson is a living example that no matter how small you are, you can still grab the title.
I was reading a Steve Kim article a few minutes ago on MAX and he said (I believe he was serious)that Davryl Williamson and Chris Byrd (who are friends) had dinner together the night before the fight.
After one of the all-time worst fights you could ever lay your eyes on does this bother you that two fighters are chatting it up enjoying each others company hours before they are suppose to go to war?
If the fight would have actually had a few punches in it I probably would not be upset but the fact that the fight was hardly a fight and that they were together the night before bothers me a bit. Showtime and the fans got ripped off, plain and simple!
Chris Byrd is a bitch and Williamson is a pussy, I dont care if they are fighters and if someone comes back with a post about how they must repoect every fighter that puts on gloves and yadayadayada...
Chris Byrd hurts the sport and chillin the night before a fight with the enemy is bullshit, especially when you put forth a performance like we saw.
does this bother anyone else?
Didn't watch it.. Who won?
It depends.
If the MMA kid can get in without getting knocked his face to the ground, he would probably win by a submission.
I've been up against a BJJ (Brazilian Ju-Jitsu) kid, wrestling, and he had me in all sorts of weird positions and in the end I had to submit. I would own him in range, but not when he gets inside.
