Jr. Won 7-3
Chavez jr. did win the fight. He won 7 of the 10 rounds, but by the way he walked to his corner after the last round, it looked like if it would have been a championship bout, Jr. would have lost by tko. Like it's been stated, jr. did not have an amateur career, most of the guys he has faced have had over 100 fights, although most of those have been amateur. Jr. has only had the fights he's had as pro. The crowd booed him and threw stuff not because he won, but because they wanted a knockout. Also, Chavez sr was pissed after the fight and although he was in rehab for alcoholism said he was going to postpone his treatment to properly train his sons. Since then Omar has had a 1 round knockout, now we'll just have to wait and see what Jr. has learned. I hope he trained for a better defense, because that is his great weakness.

It always surprises me that everyone will say before a fight... this is Jrs best test to date, this is his toughest fight, this fight will show what hes all about. Then he wins and the same people who commented will say... who cares, he fought against a b or c class fighter. Oh his opponent wasnt anything. No matter how you look at him or how much you hate him cuz hes the son of a legend with no amatuer career, they both gave a great fight last night, much more exciting than any Mayweather fight.. so just stop the hating and enjoy a great fight when a great fight happens, doesnt matter who fights. I think he still needs work to fight someone like Cotto, but if he were to fight and beat Cotto these same phuckers who are here saying hed be killed fighting Cotto will then say.. oh well Cotto was old, oh if he fought Cotto 3years ago then it would be a good fight... just stop hating and inventing reasons to hate Jr.
The problem is that he is headlining Pay-Per-Views... he's charging Pay Per View prices for amateur kind of fights. If those fights were shown on Friday Night Fights or any other show over free television, it would be ok.
So you're blaming Chavez jr. for "charging Pay per view prices...." You more than likely know that Bob Arum is the one in charge of creating the pay per view events and boxing is a business so if he feels people will pay to see Jr. in a pay per view event, well then he's gonna set that up. If people want to see him for free, don't pay for PPV and more than likely, Bob and the rest of the folks in charge will lose money and not put him back on ppv.
Their just feeding Chavez Jr lemon boxers to pad his record... and make some money out of it... but only a fool will believe Junior's the real thing... if they think he can handle the heat, let him fight top-notch boxers in his division... all of the boxers he fought are paid to take a dive and most of them are either pretenders or actors... get real... a-hole!
Another uneducated guess. There are dozens if not hundreds of boxers out there in the same situation as Chavez jr. Since he did not have an amateur career, he is more or less having it now, on international television, because of his last name. The fact that he is being molded with ok fighters doesn't make him a fake and it doesnt' mean people are taking dives. I have not seen one boxer that jr has fought that can be considered a fixed fight. The fact that you don't like jr. doesn't make him any less talented. So I suggest you first get the facts, then you can probably make a much better and educated comment.

Refs not only count in english, which I understand all boxers are supposed to understand the basic boxing terms, but they also use their fingers to count so even if he didnt' understand, he could see him count with his fingers.
Ok, Lazarte even made Tyson look like a rule abiding boxer. He did try every illegal tactic in the book, but many boxer try different things and just don't get caught, but that is why there is a third man in the ring. This was probably one of the worst referees I have ever seen work a fight. Lazarte wouldn't even try to hide his illegal tactics, he did them right in front of the Ref. Ref needs to be out for the count.
yeah your right.
but loriga did have that five mile stare
and he probably couldnt hear
Remember in the 2nd round he was knocked down and the ref did the same thing, counted in English and counted with his fingers and Loriga knew at what point to get up. If his corner had a problem, I think they would have brought it up before the fight, or at least after the first knock down.
