Kovalev IS an elite boxer... he just also has power.
Where do people get off on assuming Kovalev isn't a good a boxer as Ward when he straight up nearly white washed him for the first half of the fight AND knocked him down... yet you gonna act like Ward is levels above him in boxing LOL. :pat:

In matchups like these, I always tend to lean toward the elite boxer instead of the big puncher. Sergey couldn't finish Ward last time when he had him down and I don't think Ward will make the same mistake early on again. Ward by CLEAR unanimous decision, in a career defining performance.
I didn't think there was any significant difference in levels in their boxing ability in the first fight. Kovalev is very underrated in his ability.

Andre Ward is levels above. Sensational TKO victory. Ward would beat Kovalev every day of the week, one of the most underrated Boxers of all time, never gets his true merit. Stands alone at P4P #1 after that victory, congrats champ.
I can't wait for this, I'm so thankful we get to all be a part of Boxing history, just like our father's and grandfather's were with their classic matchups.
I'll be betting on my usual, Mayweather by decision.
Much similar to a lot of people though, I do see Floyd struggling for 3-4 rounds adjusting to Manny's speed and quick combos.
I feel after about round 4 though, Floyd will have his timing to a T and will be catching Manny coming in with some hard right hands. I see Floyd going to the body a LOT early on to slow Manny's work rate down and to make the pace of the fight, his pace.
Floyd is a master craftsman, a real ring general and I just see him once again "finding a way" and figuring it out.
I'm a little worried about the judges though and much similar to Mayweather/DeLaHoya could see a split decision given the magnitude of the event. I'm just hopeful Floyd doesn't get screwed because he's made it clear he's on his way out of the game in September.
I got Matthysse by KO in a bloodbath.
Matthysse is a better all round Boxer than Provodnikov and is by far the most powerful puncher in the game. Has every advantage.
First 3 rounds will be epic, if we make it that far...
