AJ makes a video saying if Wilder gives him $50 million dollars he'll sign "the next day". Wilder makes the offer. AJ's team tries to weasel out. Hearn talks about venue and proof of funds. Proof of funds is a given. Venue however was not what AJ said. He who pays most chooses venue. Hearns doesn't want the fight. The fact that he is keen on a USA venue for a Miller vs AJ fight this summer or fall but ONLY for a UK venue vs Wilder depite the Wilder offer shows how.much of a weasel Hearn is. He actually calls the public move a"***** move" while he has been nothing but publically trying to get Whyte vs Wilder fight while crying about Wilder. Hearn is a manipulative, lying, hypothetical slime.
AJ...be a man of yout word or a slave to the weasel. Sign if proof of funds are there. Duck in the ring, not out. Your own team doesn't think you're ready for Wilder. $50 million is more than you made with your last 5 fights combined. Smells like chicken, sounds like chickens, English feathers.
1)Mayweather was the WORLD's biggest draw, not just "America's".
2)Spence nor any boxer shouldn't be concerned about being the type of draw that FMJ was. He was by far the biggest money maker in boxing history.
3)Warren hasn't shown himself to be a big superstar maker in all of his years. Nor does he have the tools, he just isn't that bright.
4)Spence MIGHT become the draw GGG and Canelo have become if he beats Lamont Petterson then Thurman then Crawford. If he does that, he'll have a pedigree better than those bigger draws.
If Ward is as good as he was at his best, he wins a tough and at times brutal chess match. This is the best fight that can be made. They are both legit top 5 P4P (I feel top 3). When was the last time that happened? FLMJ vs Pacquiao, Canelo vs Cotton is a stretch. I hope both fighters are given their dues afterwards. Both are possible HOF level fighters. Lt Heavyweight will be the division of wars. Stevenson must fight the winner.
BHop is Canelo's promoter. As usual he talks nonesense when talking about his fighter. Bhop has said some really ignorant things over the years. Now, he's a mouthpiece for hire. Gokden Boy is the highest bidder for his mouth.
They lie and flip flop and the Brit public don't seem capable of understanding nor calling them out on BS.
They say they don't need to come to the USA. They don't technically but they tentatively plan or are considering fighting Miller in the USA. In fact, Hearn has spoken far more positively about fighting a contender in the USA next than fighting a champion in the USA.
AJ says he wants to be in position to have all barganing chips and make guys make concessions instead of getting pay bonuses. 1)Most fighters get an essential bonus/raise when fighting a champion. Big fight equals more money. 2)He doesn't have ALL of the chips if notable belts are barganing chips. 3) A fight with Wilder now brings more money to BOTH fighters albeit not as much more to AJ. Still a bigger pot and much much much more prestige and respect.
Hearn is a liar and manipulator. AJ paraphrases what Hearn tells him. AJ is a dupe. Was the ref paid off for making sure there was very very little inside fighting with J Parker? The judges scored the fight more decisively in AJs favor than anyone else outside of AJ/Hearns friends and family.
It likely will go to purse bids because the GG team while crying that no one will fight them, tend to make take it or leave it "I don't need you" demands. They are in position to do so and rightfully so to a degree but not while claiming the lack of signature wins is due to others not willing to fight them.
Jacobs, Eubanks jr, Saunders are the best middleweights not named Golovkin at this time. Those fights should happen! Canelo, Lara, Jermall Charlo represent the best jr middleweights who could challenge with potential to win.
Dealer and Ramirez remain the best slightly bigger fighters that would test his resume.
Of course Ward, Kolev and Stevenson would be a bit much to ask.
Regardless, Jacobs seems next. I give him a chance but expect Golovkin to catch him and put him away. Jacobs represents the 3 or 4 very best fighters Golovkin has faced thus far.
Purse bids by November the fight will be set to start 2017 in Jan or Feb.
BHop is being a hypocrite
B-Hop works for Golden Boy headed by Mayweather rival ODLH. ODLH said that he wanted Canelo vs McGreggor about a year ago. He has since said what BHop has said and worse which leads me to think that B Hop is simply regurgitating what his boss says.
The Mayweather bout will take away some of the blockbuseter headlines of the far better GGG vs Canelo fight pr-Hop obviously has a dog in the fight. He is far from an objective observer.
Mayweather has added fighters from his stable of boxers to the card so more get to shine beyond himself and McGreggor.
There are very very few fighters Mayweather could have brought even close the payday as McGreggor with so little relative risk comparatively
I doubt that the public is feeling this fight is anything more than a novelty so it doesn't disrespect the sport. Let's not forget that Ali "fought"Inoki . Chuck Wepner went against Andre the Giant.....all 40yrs ago and boxing is still here. People understood that it was just a exhibition type of bout then and they understand that now. The twist is that it isn't a cross martial arts fight.
There aren't 5 boxers who as many people would pay as much to watch fight fmj.
I think Heard was a poor choice for Ortiz. Ortiz needs prime exposure NOW due to his age. His best bet was to fight Library Pulev and force his rankings higher. Fights against a Pulev, Walsch, Chagaev, Browne, or Charles Martin (being former title holder) would improve his resume to force a title shot in 2017 more than Scott. In fact, I'd have him fight Pulev then as he pushes for leverage Walsch .....that would seem to force a fight with an alphabet holder. Scott does little to nothing for his resume. Higher risk than reward.... due to low to virtually no reward.
Ortiz vs Pulev is the right fight for Ortiz right now. Higher reward due to Pulev's ranking but VERY very winnable fight. Scott has a far far lesser ranking but is as good as Pulev.
This is the toughest test highest quality fight for both fighters. These are 2 of the top 5 if not top 3 heavyweights in an intriguing and talented heavyweight pool. A fighter that sjgns to fight another fighter TWICE despite the other fighter having a history of PEDS ....and
Champion activly campaigning to fight said fighter is actually the opposite of showing fear.
Ortiz in my opinion has had fights where he looked like a potentially all time great heavyweight and fights whete he's looked medicore. He has the tools and skills to be great. But time is NOT on his side for a title reign of greatness. It does make for a potential upset because he is top 3 in the division. Wilder is now in position to establish himself as the best and claim at least a clear 50/50 split in a fight with the joshua/parker winner. This is yhe best crop of heavyweights in over a decade. Exciting
Turano is a high quality fighter but not an elite fighter.
Champ GGG
1)Canello
2)Jacobs
3)Saunders
4)Charlo
5)Murata
The middleweight division is now loaded with talent
man is as good as his word. AJ PUBLICLY said $50 million and he'll sign the NEXT DAY. Then...backstep backstep, turn, curtsey, cowar to find an easier foe. AJ lost my respect with his cowardly excuses. Getting old man Hearn to try to weasel you out is low.
