More like the other way around.
What rounds did you give Rico
I gave him 6,8 and 9
possibly 3 if i remember right
Tell us the rounds Usyk lost or won then i can have another look
Or should i just ask Tod Grisham because it seems like you watched the fight with your ears instead of your eyes
I notice nobody replied to me telling me which rounds they gave Rico
Go on tell me the rounds Rico won boys
He won rounds 6,8 and 9
There was an early round i could have seen either way
Go on give us a laugh name another round Rico won
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4ZonuFFm9E
Rico was clubbing Usyk all night.
He caught Usyk with about 10 decent clean shots the whole fight
Usyk outworked Rico for a majority of ghe fight and was winning 6 rounds to 4 going into the 11th which he dominated much like he dominated round 10
Pure fantasy
Usyk won 2 rounds going into the 11th.
2-8 for rounds against a 1-0 kickboxer and people were saying usyk might be the greatest heavy of all time
What 2 rounds did you give Usyk
Im curious because im Curious about the 8 rounds you gave Rico
Did you guys all just watch the fight live on an illegal stream or have you actually gone back and had a proper look because this baffles me how you guys cant score a round proper or do you just have bad eyesight
i admit on the night i thought Usyk was in trouble but watching it back he was clearly winning many rounds
Ill say again
Rico won rounds 6,8 and 9
Round 3 i gave to Usyk but it could have went the other way
If anyone is replying tell me your scorecard ill gladly watch the fight again and see if i can see it your way
Its amazing the power of the media and commentators in which they can actually sway so called boxing fans so easily when they credit one man hitting gloves and disregard the other man landing clean punches
Perhaps it was just the fact he was hitting such a solid object that makes people think he wasnt scoring and the fact if rico hit usyks arms his hair would bounce
Who knows
I rewatched.
Going into the KO round, I had it 6-4, Usyk.
Rico was swarming but smothering a lot of his own punches. Usyk was blocking and countering far more often.
A close, competitive fight, but now that the dust has settled, it's clearer to see that Usyk did what he needed to.
Premature stoppage? Perhaps, but Usyk was nicking it.
I would NOT mind a rematch at all. Rico can hang and he made a fan out of me.
Well thats about the same as me i did think there was an extra round i could have given to rico when i had it 7-3
Curious the rounds you gave to Rico
Was it similar 6,8 and 9
I think it was round round 3 i could have gave Rico i cant remember.
Yeah no. Even the crappy judges didn’t score it like that and if you think he won 7 rounds you haven’t got a clue what you’re watching.
Go watch it back and remember its clean scoring punches
Rico won rounds 6,8 and 9
Usyk won the rest
A lot of Ricos punches were blocked and nullified
He only landed one successful combination and it was in one of those rounds i mentioned
Usyk outworked Rico for a majority of the fight with clean punches
Rico landed some clean punches in the rounds ive stated he lost but Usyk did much more
ATG boxer
Can’t scrap on the inside for toffee.
He ain’t no Inoue or Crawfish who can fight any style
Inoue and Crawford have never fought someone who outweighs them that much and Usyk schooled Rico 7 rounds to 3 going into the 11th
I plan to, because even without all the real-time hoopla and "controversy," it was a very fun fight and I owe Rico an apology for thinking he'd be a pushover. He made it competitive and opened up hell's gate for Usyk more than once, which is the mark of a good match.
Usyk is clearly getting older and it showed, but he's still a wizard even when operating at half capacity.
Get back to me when you do i gave 3 rounds overall to Rico and that was the 6th 8th and 9th
im interested to see what you think and i can have a look again if you disagree
I honestly am bamboozled after watching it again how Usyks good work was written off and how they were crediting Ricos blocked punches
Rico landed some good shots but not enough to dimish the consistant accurate combos and jabs of Usyk
You all need to watch it again and put Tod Grisham on mute
Rico won rounds 6,8 and 9
Usyk won the rest
Even when Rico was put down it went silent on the mics there was definetly a pause
There was a narrative last night for whatever reason but if you look again Usyk was never bothered or trouble he was defensively sound
A few shots here and there got throigh but Rico only managed to sustain and attack in one round if i remember right the rest were blocked flurries, never moe than one punch got through and a lot of Usyks work was not being credited
I honestly didnt realise there was so many casuals on this forum that just go with what the narrative is theyre being told by the commentators and media
Usyk was winning 7-3 going into the last round
you casuals need to stop listening to Tod Grisham and company
Rico won 3 rounds at the most Usyk blocked many of his attacks
Rico won 6,8 and 9 the rest was Usyk
Never beleive the media use your eyeballs thats how you watch things
Even when Rico went down the commentators went completely silent, did anyone else notice that?
Im rewatching the fight thid morning and jesus these commentators are idiots but ill have to admit in real time last night i sort of fell into it and beleived what they were saying but with the excitement gone and me actually studying what the fighters are doing and ignoring the commentators all i can say is wow
Im 3 rounds in going into the fourth and Usyk has won all three ever so close
Rico has landed Two really good punches so far in all 3 rounds whereas Usyk has covered up well after or before some get through
When rico rushes Usyk to the ropes and does that shorts hooks literally nothing is getting through and Usyk is nowhere near as worried as i thought he was last night and hes outlanding Rico by a long shot so far
The third round you could possibly give to Rico but Usyk has landed far more
One point Rico lands a flush right hand and Usyk dips back and lands his own big left instantly which in my eyes from the clean work hes already done keeps the round in Usyks favour
You guys should all rewatch this fight with Todd the idiot Grisham on mute i am and its opened my eyes
Never trust the media
im now 6 rounds in
Ive just given Rico the 6th round
But gave Usyk rounds 1-5 on clean punches landed
The 6th was a very close round but i gave it to Rico as Usyk has taken his foot off the gas here
Uysk wins round 7 easily
Rico lands a very good left hook in this round but Usyk lands far more cleaner shots
the problem with last night is the commentators disregarding Usyks landed punches and crediting Rico for landing punches on Usyks gloves as he throws a right hand near the end of the round and they credit it to rico when in fact it was read and blocked by Usyk
round 8 is a good Rico round
Its the first round Rico has landed a big shot and followed it up with and accurate combination of punches as he pushes Usyk back to the ropes
Usyk does have his own success in the round but not enough to outweigh Ricos multiple landed heavy shots
Round 9 another good round for Rico
Rico lands more cleaner punches and Usyk misses a lot and has a low work rate
Easy to score round for Rico with not much drama
Round 10 clear Usyk round
Usyk starts good and lands 5-6 clean punches and is rushed back to the ropes by Rico evading his punches and as he turns Rico ,Rico lands a spinning elbow
its a clear Usyk round as he starts good with clean shot but then Rico comes back,he lands a decent right straight and quite a few slapping body shots in the clinch but Usyk seals the round with sustained multiple clean effective punches
Round 11 Usyk round prior to the knockdown
Usyk really starts to show how good his engine is
his accuracy is only increasing and Rico took many clean shots and the uppercut knockdown was extremely heavy
Watching it back Rico could have contined considering the time at the end of the round but he took a lot of shots prior to the knockdown and then a sustained beating once he was up so i dont see it as that bad a stoppage if the timing wasnt taken into consideration
So i guess my card is 7-3 Usyk minus the stoppage round
you should all go and rewatch the fight as i was fooled last night in the madness
Rico definitely packs a punch, and Usyk is a very small HW. He looked like a dwarf in there. Rico was way faster than any of the other giants Usyk has been fighting lately. I think Rico might have hurt him early, so he was extra careful, and that played into Rico's hands.
Rico gave Usyk a nasty headbutt in the first round did everyone else miss that
I was thinking Usyk hasnt trained proper or something just wasnt right with him or it could have been the headbutt in the first it looked brutal and Usyk looked concussed
That's true, we don't really know how that fight would've gone but I suspect it would've been the same result. Kabayal is just too relentless to the body and the accumulative effect of it just breaks fighters down
Well kabayel was hit with counters by sanchez and id imagine there was zero mustard on them due to the injury
Kabayel was knocked down heavy by Zhang if i remember right so you never know
Kabayels decent but the hype hes getting from beating 40 year old Zhang and an injured Sanchez is a bit much
I've sworn never to watch another Catterall fight but I'm sitting on my couch with chips and guacamole....so. I'm stuck here.
Counterall will be negative as usual
Torrez got exposed, it was his own fault that he got hit with that shot. Good win for Sanchez, he's now got Ajagba and Torres on his resume
He needs to run it back with Kabayel as he was injured going into that fight
Thats what everyone should be talking about
Wow. Kabayel's win over Sanchez looks great.
Sanchez back in mix.
I wasnt impressed by that win on the night it was obvious Sanchez went in with an injury ,he was stuck in mud from round 1
wilder is terrible though so what does that prove? gerald washington was beating him, the spilzka fight was very even. these guys are very bad at boxing. give wilder credit for the ko's(even though the first one was dubious because of the laughable rest wilder was given) but ortiz as some great boxer was something that never really happened except in peoples fantasy projections. he lost to ruiz, was almost ko'd by martin, and his only notable win was over bryant jennings. after jennings he signed with pbc and his career stalled until the wilder and ruiz losses.
the boogie man thing was manufactured as a lot of promoters do that with fighters. no shame in that. some fighters like ggg and benny live up to their high expectations and some like ortiz do not.
no one ducked ortiz that was the funny part. he literally left match room when joshua was near his peak which obviously hurt the chances of landing that fight, he then got busted for ped's which killed his mandatory spot, then he turned down a career high payday against joshua. all while saying he was being ducked...lol! he also said he didnt have time to train for a whyte fight but then fought on the same date on which whyte offered to fight him, except ortiz fought a pbc bum. pbc was creating a challenger for wilder and he was a decent contender for sure but the problem is most of his hype wasnt based on quality wins, but "skills" and "eye test" when you look back on his resume and he has 1 top 10 win, its fair to say he was overrated and overhyped yet some people still talk about him as if he was a top guy which he never was. he wasnt even on the parker, whyte second tier level. he was maybe a third tier guy for this last era. far from a gerald washington or spilzka but also very far from the other contenders
Ortiz was about 100 years old and he schooled Wilder better than Fury could just he was so old his chin bone was nothing but dust
Ortiz did good considering he was a fossil on heart medication if im not mistaken
AJ had a career-worst performance vs. Dubois; it was frustrating to watch but for a different reason. He looked like someone suffering from performance paralysis, and Dubois simply ran his ass over.
Dubois was doing subtle things to make Wardley miss, but Wardley did himself no favors. Wardley's strength is that he'll swing his way out of a bad situation, but seeing such inaccuracy was driving me crazy. I do understand that the swollen eye was affecting his accuracy too, but he was looking desperate before that. A lot of poor decision making. It seems like Wardley hasn't learned enough to maximize his athleticism. High athleticism + low ring IQ + strong chin + big heart = high drama and entertainment for us, but brain damage for him. Wardley was still reacting, but I think the corner/ref/doctor could've reasonably stopped the fight sooner if they wanted to. It's a title fight, so I do understand giving Wardley a chance to turn it around....but he was getting pummeled.
Who's the constant between AJ and Wardley? Ben Davison.
Hopefully we see Itauma vs. Dubois next, instead of an immediate rematch.
Again you worded things in a way that gives nobody credit
Dubois jab is a rocket and will be a nightmare for anybody not named Usyk and its 100 percent what won him the fight last night and set up everything against Joshua aswell
A lot of them just overrated from the start. People see Cuban and automatically think they're great because they won a load of gold medals playing touch butt for points over 3 rounds with head guards in the past.
Professional boxing is wildly different.
I used to say it about Luis Ortiz when he was the supposed boogie man in the division. At the time before he fought Wilder I said take Ortiz's exact resume and skill set and change the name to Jack Smith from New Jersey and nobody would rate him. Change the name to Ortiz and put a Cuban flag and suddenly he was going to be some world beater despite proving nothing.
He schooled wilder in both fights until both stoppages or did you just watch the highlights
He fought his heart out and left it in the ring. He also lost to someone more experienced, so I don't want to pile on him. After he takes time off to heal, he needs to sit down with his team and have a serious conversation about wtf went wrong. Other than the flash knockdowns, Dubois was working him over. He's stagnated under his current team; there were simply no improvements.
They had a game plan to throw that overhand right and he used it far too early into the fight
Ben Davidson seems to be able to find a good flaw and punch that his fighters can capitalise on the opposition but as i was watching the fight i think after the second knockdown Dubois adapted and rolled just under the punches which is what impressed me the most about last night
Dubois ring IQ needs more appreciation and Wardly needs less criticism
I expected Dubois jab to be the biggest factor last night as its so accurate and closes the range and it was
If he bamboozled Joshua with it then i knew it would be a problem for Wardly
It set everything up for him
Just shows how good Usyk really is..
Dubois quit vs Usyk because of not just the punishment but having little success thats what really took his heart last time out
You said it so yourself: Dubois was slower tonight, and he seemed heavier than usual. He's also not defensively agile. Wardley has athleticism, and I'm well aware that it takes more than that to win. But did you see how many fxcking times Wardley missed his right hand? His offense was as basic and sloppy as ever. His only consistent offense tactics were a jab feint and a 1-2. He kept loading up on the right hand, further gassing himself out and throwing himself out of position. Dubois' poise won him the fight. Wardley's corner should've done him a favor and pulled him out earlier because he was getting his ass kicked.
Wardly was landing shots and fighting back in exchanges you cant really ask for much more from a fighter to show that they can continue fighting.
I was merely pointing out the fact Dubois has good feet and i'd imagine if he was purely defensive much like he was after the knockdown that he has great feet for a heavyweight which is why he can land with such accuracy in most of his fights
Dubois says it himself hes a seek and destroy fighter.
Hes always had great feet its just he normally uses them to come forward.
he has good range to.
Wardley showed zero growth tonight, it was actually frustrating to watch. He's proven to be tough as nails, but he's his own worst enemy because he fought extremely dumb. Dubois is neither quick nor slick, so for Wardley to miss his right hand so much was comical.
You proved ydksab
Dubois has always had quick feet but he is a gambler as he normally uses them to attack but he was put down and forced to think defensively
Dubois was probably the slowest hes ever been tonight but he started getting speed when he found his groove
Hes always had a quick jab and straight right hand if you dont know that then youre dumb
Theres a reason hes at this level and lands absolute bombs on people and it aint because hes in quicksand
Why is Fawaz fighting like e b I t ch instead of a boxer?
You mean trying to finish like an amateur,if he just took his time from distance he could have finished him that was so dumb
