Right?!
First of all I'd like to congratulate Pacquiao for beating the hell out of Cotto in their fight. I had picked Cotto to win but it was clear who was the better fighter that night and any other night for that matter. However I have a beef with the claim of having won a 147 title when they fought at a 145 top weight. I really don't think it would've made a big difference in the outcome but if Pacquiao/Roach wanted a title @ 147 they should've fought at 147. Even if both parts agreed to the terms the WBO simply had to refuse to give a title to someone who fought at a different weight. Once again, I'm not hating on Pac. I love the guy and he's definitely an all time great but I won't recognize him as a 147 champion until he actually wins a championship fight at 147.
Even if? 2 pounds really make that much of a difference? Point blank Pacquiao owned Cotto. I'm totally a pacquiao supporter, but Cotto's camp should have stopped that fight @ the 10th. It was just an onslaught after the ninth, what a rookie ass move by Santiago. But not for nothing, Pacquiao owned and deserved that fight and win.
Really people
First and foremost I would like to say that Manny is so deserving of that win and title, coming in even under the contract weight, and being able to keep up/ supress Cotto most of the fight. He deserves the 7 time champ title, he fullfilled his duty, and even gave us all something to talk about. It's still pretty amazing what a great little man did to a well versed and appropriately sized walterweight fighter such as Cotto. Pacquiao took what cottonhad to dish out and still emerged glorious and a champion for that matter. For someone his stature to fight someone in their natural weight is pretty amazing. Cheers to Manny and his camp, shame on Cotto's corner for not stepping in to preserve their fighter. But all and all a pretty damn impressive performance from both athletes, definitely a joy to see.
Whatever the case might be, 60/40 for PAC is resonable. He's been bring in the fans and giving boxing another lifeline. So in this case mayweather shouldn't overprice himself, he should be thankfull to step in the ring and square off with a man that would provide his stupid ass some bread for the table. It would be profitable for FMJ to do so win or lose, he just wants the money anyways, he ain't got no love for the sport. He's came out of retirement cause he's broke, not to prove that he's the greatest, we all now even you doubtfull lil girls out there, that PAC would give him a great fight.
Stop being a biatch Floyd
Mayweather is just running scared, or he wants more money. Either case it's non passionate mother****ers like him who put shame on the game. If you're great at something and love it, why wouldn't you want to do it just
for the love of the sport? Stop talking shit Floyd! Do it because of the love of boxing, not because your building a new house you ****ing homo!!! Floyd is like a chick, just standing there talking shit, get in the ring with Manny and get whooped, **** it! Boxing needs that kind of CPR anyways. Or is it that he doesn't want his undefeated title ruined? What a punk, even if Manny does a 30/70 split with Floyd, he will still make money of that ass whooping, so what's the deal? Stop being a little girl and get in the ring boy!
