Or some soft British sport like cricket.
prof cricket is not as easy as it looks, u got a fast hard ball coming at you, batting is technically difficult and requires very high concentration one mistake and u are gone and bowling fast is physically demanding with fast bowlers suffering a lot of injuries so yes u are not running into each other like nfl or rugby or tackling like football but it still has its difficulties
i remember jai struggling somewhat with an old bredis so he certainly may be vulnerable in a hard fight this division needs sorting out and this is a good step
"The IBF has ordered Lightweight Champion Raymond Muratalla, to face Mandatory Challenger Cuba's Andy Cruz by February 10, 2026"
maybe he had no choice in the matter this is the ibf and they are a bit sticky with this stuff i think
Rick looks like a shyster lol
Also booty ducked the fight when his excellency offered it. That simple bumman your boy puss in boots didn't want it.
yeah they are like probably having 'talks' for half the cash a few months later how demoralising that must be ortiz probably wants to smack boots on the head just for that
ortiz should not be falling out with oscar who is only doing his job if ortiz wants the boots fight just improve the offer a bit not sue your promoter LOL he just wants out of his contract for some other reason probably offred a zuffa deal
well done on both making the ibf moring weighin i have my reservations about it one belt enforcing it is no good really and not for unifications anyway not sure what time the morning weigh is but i think if i was a fighter i would rather be doing something else than that at that time
Your love for Saul got you blind and delusional. You're excusing him, again, and you know the fight is not happening so you're dreaming with the scenario that Saul would beat Benavidez. You can work miracles in your mind, not in real life that is why Canelo refused to fight Benavidez, simple as that. Furthermore, you're excusing his loss versus a smaller, older fighter in Crawford by claiming some weight issues. Did you read what you just posted?
i dont get these canelo defenders and they still exist they have no shame imagine defending him to these lenghts, bena was a 168 guy for most of his career and only moved up because saul had the devision on lockdown, now canelo is not a 168 guy but a 175 guy and bena is not a 168 nor 175 but a 200 pound guy LOLOLOLOL its delusioin at its finest they should just quit commentating about canelo and bena totally if u can make the 168 limit your entire career then u are a 168 guy, if canelo had fought bena he would have taken a beating but he would not have been beaten by bud nor got the turki cash for that sooooooo he took his poison as for bena going to cruiser and badk to 175 i dont like the sound of but its his choice he may regret that decision back at 175 when he cant find his top form again
go zuffa go
nothing different to what any promoter does
they all protect their guys or try to until they find the right fights
they want to make money just like everyone else
look at boots ortiz LOLOLLOL and many many others can it get any worse than that i dont think so
u have to give new players a chance i mean the app is still in america dazn after all the doom and gloom and dire preditctions on that one as well
‘Ocampo’s added weight allowed him to absorb the shots’. That makes no sense unless Ocampo was crucifying himself to make 154, and there is no evidence of that. If Walsh, at 160, can’t move a guy who was sparked quickly at 154, admittedly by world class men, then it suggests his glossy KO record reflects low opposition rather than scary power.
11 KO's out of first 16 fights is not unusual at all he hasnt even stepped up yet his opponents are low level guys lol
I rate Tony Bellew skill for skill technically in some areas as a better and more capable fighter than David Benavidez. Although I admit? Benavidez does have a better overall resume'.
not even close - bena is far better than bellew - canelo would never duck a bellew level fighter for example and demand 200 million for the fight, its inconceivable, bellew has a very poor resume if u look it up, hes very average
I think one of the major reasons why? Canelo Alvarez was beaten by Terrence Crawford 'was because he was dead at the weight of 168 pounds.
168 was canelos weight class how can he be dead at that weight? he tried 175 and he went straight back down as he knew he could not handle it there, literally his fans have been telling us for years that hes actually too small for 168 and now u pop up and say no hold on its the opposite hes dead at 168, canelo was losing to any very good guy he fought, bivol, bena would have done worse to canelo than what bud did, thats just his level and hes older now
hes down at the moment after his last performance and most people dont think hes very good overall and he was caught with peds and hes is bat shit crazy and not very likeable at all he badly needs a big win ko to get back on track if he gets that he can get a big cash fight im sure again
154 to 168 includes Ward’s weight class of 168.
Why the need to catch weight him?
i remember reading about ggg and they asked him quesions this was as he was coming up and winning betls and one of the questions was will he fight andre ward and he said 'maybe'
lets see shakur put in a performance say against the likes of margarito hehehehehe
i think i remember v that do santos guy he threw a few punches and shakurs jaw dropped and his eyes popped open
hes the no1 contender surely and fighting the no1 contender can actually be quite rare in this sport especially for older guys like usyk im shocked he didnt go for wilder in the states
And came up 2 weight classes to do it.
fair point
im thinking there must have been something else wrong with eubank in II to allow for the gap that was in that fight more than the draining as he managed that ok fight 1
only eubank knows for sure b ut they both got paid and im sure eubank knew he was not going to be good in fight 2 maybe he just wasnt up for the fight again, thats a possibility actually
"so lets break down the timeline here according to wards own offer. ggg fights lemieux in october 2015, someone else in early 2016 then ward in middle of 2016...all this while hes wbc mandatory to cotto and or canelo. thats so absurd in every way."
Especially absurd when you include the fact that Canelo and Cotto had signed a contract agreeing that the winner of their upcoming fight would defend the WBC 160 belt against GGG next, or relinquish the title. And Ward actually sent GGG a contract to sign. If GGG had signed it, the contract signed by Cotto and Canelo guaranteeing to defend the WBC 160 belt against him next would have been voided and GGG would have lost his mandatory position.
Ward and his promoter knew there wasn't a cat in hell's chance that GGG would accept their offer. It wasn't meant to be accepted. It was a PR stunt.
yeah how could they see that canelo would puss out of htat and drop his belt and yet wardy demands ggg go to 168 to fight him for probably peanuts and get robbed anyway and drop his 160 drive for the belts and the canelo cash just cos he say so and hes still whining about it TILL THIS DAY and his hop on fans doing the same this topic just keeps coming up and up again and again
You don’t think Ennis’ purse for Ortiz would be the largest payday of his career?
Haney accepted a 30/70 split. Ennis should have jumped on 40/60, which was really like 45/55 eventually. But some guys have baby nuts.
haneys fight was for undisputed :lol1:
personally i read what people are saying about uber uber gen guy boots but i dont think boots will have anything close to the career of bud for exampe and boots is so untested really i think ortiz has a good shot at beating him ortiz offering boots 35% if boots loses is a bit of a chicken move i think and now the ortiz guys sueing oscar for trying toget him a good deal i mean WTF all they have to say to oscar is ok we the ortiz guys want the fight so make it for 55 45 flat in ortiz favour and put it up to boots to accept but they sue oscas instead?? means they dont want the fight at all and want out of their contract where oscar has been great for him with great fights for him, they got a better offer from somewhere and want away from boots and oscar now most likey shameful
'the art of ward' :lol1::lol1:
this guys ego is off the charts - he had a poor fight v kovalev 1 getting dropped but got a UD win over the belt holder somehow someway then incredibly rocnation and jzee gave him a guarantee of 6.5 M for the rematch based on poor ppv figures for fight 1 and kovalev got zero guarantee whatsoever and was paid off ppv sales which were lower than poor fight 1 LOL, so kovalev had his belts robbed & was shafted in the purses for the rematch as well, and then ward had his own personal ref in fight 2 tony weeks and we all know how that played out, this is what happens in boxing when u allow guys like ward to keep their 0
This is what ward said before he retired :lol1:
And after making a successful leap to become champion at light-heavyweight, Ward believed he could continue to defeat "giants" and was suggested the idea of facing Joshua by his trainer Virgil Hunter.
"I always seem to be knocking down giants one by one," Ward said. "Heavyweight, that's always been a dream of mine. It's got to be against the right guy, but I dream big and anything is possible"
The guy who cries about ggg all the time was saying he was going all the way to heavyweight while he was active but he bailed out of 175 immediately
