I think Fury is on the slide. I say this due to; inactivity, taking heavy damage from Wilder and being in worse shape than usual.
I'm backing Whyte to give him a really tough fight, but Fury wins by points.
I doubt that.
Worse shape? Seems like Fury is USUALLY in worse shape.
Whyte MAY give Fury a tough fight, but in any case, I got Fury winning.
I would also say the same about Whyte, he's on the slide.
If you look at Fury's weight in his last two fights, he did come in much heavier.
Combine that with the damage he took in the 3rd Wilder fight, it can't have done him any good.
I believe he beat Mcdermott 6-4 .
Mcdermott started good, but faded later on. Fury took over with volume and the occasional power shot, Mcdermott far too inactive to win the necessary rounds.
Neither were in their prime or best weight when they fought.
but now that we’ve seen more of Canelo career, objectively speaking who’s actually the better fighter between them?
In terms of fighting ability:
Floyd. He shut down almost every style and dominated really good opponents.
Canelo has struggled much more in his big fights.
The best person floyd fought was a 70 fight flyweight. The people Nell struggled to beat could floyd even best them? Lara, ggg, and who else did Nell struggle with? Would Nell struggle with Castillo or maiden a or a guy like dlh who'd lost a few before floyd fight?
I think Floyd does edge Golovkin, the head-movement would give GGG fits.
Canelo vs Maidana? Maidana's wild attacks throw Canelo off for a few rounds. Then he gasses and Canelo dominates the rest of the fight.
He wanted nothing to do with GGG way back when it mattered
There’s no title, money or glory in beating this version of Sergio. why on earth would he even think Golovkin would even entertain the idea of fighting him now ?
He doesn't believe that Golovkin will say yes.
That's exactly why he's doing this;
Call out a big name who you know won't fall for the bait to further promote this fight.
