Elite fighters as in perhaps you should state specifics as to who you think are elite. Only about a couple of NSB fans think he has cleaned out his division and only about 4 other people believe that a boxer should move up in weight to find challenges.
Okay.. so who do you think would beat him? Why does Cotto pretend he doesnt exist? Why did Canelo vacate his belt to avoid fighting him.. what does he have to do to get a elite fighter?
lol people acting like Brook dominated Porter
The guy won by a Majority decision where one judge had it a draw, like Thurmans victory tonight it was close.
On judge scorecards.. because they are always accurate arnt they? Come on man be real and watch back, Brook did a better job on Porter than Thurman did
Brook is 30 and has only fought one elite. That's what I mean by inexperience.
His default level is fighting lighter touches.
That means nothing. GGG is 34 and he hasn't fought an elite, but quality shows regardless.
You'll have your answer when he ducks spence
A lot more money in a Thurman or Khan fight than Spence.. I don't get it why people call it ducking when they just want the biggest fights
I don't think he has a chance. But you said nobody wants it with him and I pointed out somebody who does. Andy Lee also said he would fight him but then lost to BJS. I'm sure he'd like another crack at a title still
I know there are fighters out there who will get in ring with him I don't doubt that. Fighters are fighters. I'm talking about all these elite big names ignoring him. Why? Because if they lose to him they will lose their reputation, and losing means their future fights will make less money. That's why Canelo vacated and all these other guys pretend he doesn't exist. He's TOO good. which is a shame. Am I wrong?
he's the undisputed champion at 164!
What has that got to do with anything? Does nobody want to try take it from him? Why do fighters always make excuses? I wanna see him vs elite fighters but none of them seem to want it with him..
Nah i'm with you on that, he is too good. Couple that with the fact that although he is crowd pleasing he doesn't have a huge following and doesn't bring much money to the table. A lot of risk with very little reward.
Finally someone who understands boxing. The boxers have too much power, if the officials say they have to fight they should fight or their licenses be revoked. It put great boxers like GGG out of pocket just because he doesn't wanna be a piece of **** to sell fights.
Why is everyone so impressed by Brook? He's beaten one good guy.
Porter is an incredible fighter, and he was undefeated when Brook beat him. I respect one win against a world class opponent then 100 wins vs average opponents.
Thurman has no inside game. He just runs and throws haymakers.
Did you even watch the fight? Porter is world class and he struggled to hit Thurman.. At no time watching that fight did I think Thurman was not in control
Maybe if you watched back you'd realise that was a close fight and Brook didnt dominate. Both guys landed more or less the same number of punches.
Most of the media ringside had Brook winning 115-113, Brook landed the cleaner effective blows but was roughed up whenever they got inside hence why he decided to clinch every single time.
Thurman landed more powershots than Brook and unlike Brook didnt hold Porter inside. Im not saying Thurman had a better performance than Brook, but he did things that Brook couldnt do like fight inside which was impressive to me.
Way too many people are overly harsh towards Thurman for whatever reason, he was great tonight
Don't get me wrong I have so much respect for Porter and Thurman is probably my favourite welterweight right now.. nobody is gonna dominate Porter he is an incredible fighter I just think Brook did a more professional job on him, tonight was entertaining but there was a lot of brawling that's why I think Brook could take Thurman and all the others.
He isn't top 25 in the last 25 years as some ESPN journalists think.
But he's the best MW right now walking the planet.
Decent following, but him being PPV star and all that, he can't sell it himself.
He's a damn fine fighter, but the opportunities for him both legacy and financially might be drying out.
I think it's a mix of people staying away from the challenge of fighting him, and his team overestimating what he brings to the bargaining table.
I like him quite a bit.
I agree. It's a shame. I heard journalists say to David Haye that his last two opponents weren't nothing compared to him and he replied "Why show what i'm about now and make elite fighters not want to get in the ring with me?" He's right. GGG is poorly advised unfortunately
When a fighter has skill you guys call him boring.
When he doesn't you complain that he's not skilled and a bum.
lol
Agreed.. Imagine being a boxer, working so hard to become a world champion then being told you have no skill its laughable
With may getting older and keith's performance tonight has it changed at all?
Floyd now would never fight Thurman because he wont risk his 0. Like he said the only guy he will come out of retirement to fight is McGregor because its the easiest 100m he would ever make. No point risking anything at his age now.
Nobody wants it with him? Isn't Eubank calling him out
The Eubanks are the most deluded people on planet earth.. and be honest, do you think he has a chance?
