yeah because todays manny is the same as a 2009 manny. manny couldnt knock out pillow fisted algeri or vargas, but he will connor? idiot. stupid fan.
Whether it's today's Manny or the Manny of the 2009, McGregor would still get stopped. Today's Manny would stop him in 6 while the 2009 Manny stops him in 1. Algieri would outbox Connor fairly easy and Vargas probably stops McGregor so just cause Manny didn't stop those 2 although he dominated the fight doesn't mean he won't stop McGregor.
McGregor is slow as heck for boxing standards, has fairly poor defense absolutely 0 experience in boxing. Connor needs to stick to the script and fight Floyd because A) he'll make more money and B) Floyd will pick him apart easily but not brutalize him the way Manny did.
Yeah, but Dre isn't the defensive wizzard they pretended him to be.
Dre got hit 20 times in 1 minutes by the same punch, when that sht happens to GGG, the whole world him a one dimensionnal bum.
One dimensional? I like Sergey and thought he beat Ward but he's even more 1 dimensional then Gennady.
Anybody who believes in a religion is a ****ing idiot
Khan is a piece of **** regardless of religion, can't wait to see him get knocked out
Lol the majority of the world believe in some form of religion. Some of the past and today's greatest boxers believe in a higher being.... But hey, I guess they're all idiots. smh
Andre is right in the sense that it wasn't a robbery cause the fight was close but I like many others still gave Kovalev the nod. Yes that's the best we've seen of Kov but it's also the best of Dre. He fought no different against Sergey then any of his past opponents.
The only adjustment he'll make in the second fight is more grappling. Sergey proved he's the more skilled and cleaner boxer. The first fight only exposed a lot of Dre's weaknesses.
I must say, I do agree with JMM. I always thought GGG was the better fighter. I didn't need the Kovalev/Ward fight to validate this.
The fight between Kovalev and Ward was close but I still felt Sergey won so I wouldn't call it a robbery. However it did show me Ward is pretty one dimensional. The fight exposed more flaws in Andre's game then it did in Sergey's.
Yes but GGG is not the fighter to expose those flaws. He is simply too small for Ward, who hasn't ruled out considering a fight at Heavyweight.
So regardless if he's better than Kovalev or not he can't beat Ward.
Ward is only considering fighting at Heavyweight if the right opponent at the right size is available making him a cherry picker which we can't fault him for that because size does matter.
As for him not being able to beat Ward, we won't truly know until they fight. But I can say that GGG's boxing abilities are very underrated. You can't win a silver medal in the Olympics and not know how to box.
The only advantage Ward has over GGG is size, head movement and the jab. Everything else is in favour of Golovkin.
I disagree with JMM on both points
P4P is not about who would you rather watch. People wuld've rather watched Arturo Gatti over many P4P fighters of his day, that didn't make him P4P #1
Kovalev looked like that because that is what happens when you fight a fellow top 10 P4P fighter and Olympic Gold medalist. GGG has no amatuer standout around his weight class like DeGale, Ward, Gvozdyk, Beterbiev, or any top 10 P4P fighters like Ward and Kovalev available in his weight class to push him like Ward and Kovalev pushed eachother. So it's unfair to say GGG who fights the Stevens and Lemiuex's of the world is better than Kovalev who had to go through Hopkins and Ward to prove himself
P4P is when you take a set of skills and see how this set of skills would do in different weight classes. In terms of pure technical skill then yes Chocolatito is more equipped. He has a more diverse skill set. Being more entertaining and exciting is just a bonus.
