Sounds like Dazn Is going to do a great job with boxing the problem I see most of us are paying over $100 a month for cable or DIRECTV and another 19.99 a month Is it going to be easy on the pockets of many Americans who are struggling to make ends meet
Canelo was a great fighter before the drugs. He has great skills it’s sad he ruined his legacy by using a performance enhancing drugs. If you look at past photos of Canelo only an idiot would say he wasn’t cheating
I like both fighters but PAC-MAN is a very small welterweight and I think in this case size would matter as well as Manny is now 40 years old. My money goes on the young lion in this fight that would be competitive early and I believe man he would probably get stopped late in this fight. 10 years ago before Manny Got knocked out that would’ve been a great fight I’m sure Manny and then take this fight at this stage of his career because he’ll probably lose badly against Charlo
Canelo Alvarez is a great fighter he looked great against the over hyped Chavez Jr. In this fight do like GGG against Alvarez but to me he is only slightly favored 55/45 in a fight that could go either way. GGG got robbed in the Olympics and in over 380 amateur and professional fights he has never been knocked off his feet which says a lot. Canelo Alvarez has never been scared of GGG but his promoters wisely pushed this fight back waiting for GGG to get a little older and past his prime. Since the Mayweather fight Canelo Alvarez has improved a lot. Where Cotto an old and blown up Welterweight fighter who has tremendous heart gave Alavarez a hard fight I am not sure beating him in a close fight compares to Jacobs who just fought GGG in a very close fight? My prediction the power of GGG prevails against Canelo Alvarez but if the fight goes to the scorecards we could very well end up with a draw. In another year or two Canelo Alvarez would be favored over GGG in my opinion.
Spence is a great fighter. As the current elite fighters like GGG get a couple years older there not going to want any part of Spence. If they fought today I would favor GGG slightly over Spence but it would be one heck of a fight. Everyone talks about Canelo Alvarez having fought tougher fights but other than the Mayweather fight where he was dominated has he ever fought anyone as good as Jacobs who just fought GGG in a very close fight?
Well put.
A much closer fight than individuals want to admit. Canelo is slick enough to frustrate GGG. On the other hand, GGG will possess more power than Canelo was seen or felt. It in my view will be very close till the point of a KO, more likely coming from Golovkin.
Golovkin by 11th round KO.
Well put and I agree with your thoughts of a late stoppage by GGG. My biggest concern in this fight would be if it goes to the scorecards as recently happened with the Kovalev and Ward fight or years ago the 1st fight between Lennix Lewis and Holyfield. One part of boxing that I dislike is the fact the main promoter of any fight is responsible for paying the judges salaries which sometimes leads to bad decisions. Since Golden Boy is going to be the main promoter of this fight Canelo Alvarez will probably will be awarded the majority if not all of the close rounds against GGG. I always liked Golden Boy and believe he is a class act but lets not kid ourselves Canelo Alvarez is his main dollar fighter and in a close competitive fight he will more than likely be awarded every close round and might get the decision which is the main reason GGG should go for the knockout. This fight will be competitive but GGG should win by knockout in the late rounds of 9 to 11.
Congrats to Ward great fight by a great fighter. The fight I would like to see is GGG VS Ward. If GGG beats Canelo Alvarez the biggest fight left for him would be Ward at 175 LBS. Ward said he isn't going back to 168. I would favor Ward over GGG at 175 LBS but I think it would be a competitive fight worth watching
I agree. Pulev is a good fighter but his style wouldn't match up with a much bigger Joshua. Klitscko spanked Pulev a few years ago when he was in his late 30's and Joshua would have him out with in 3 rounds. I would love to see this rematch as you mentioned at the MGM. Joshua and Klitscko can both take any heavy weight out with one punch. I would love to see a rematch.
Klitscko VS Joshua 2 is a Fight Worth Watching
I like Joshua a lot and yes he would be favored but I wouldn't count out Klitscko in a rematch. These two great heavyweights can both take anyone out with one power shot and Joshua after throwing a ton of punches in the 5th round was totally out of gas for the next 4 or 5 rounds. If Klitscko gets Joshua in trouble in the rematch he will be clever enough no to let him off the hook again. Since Joshua has bulked up he has lost a little hand speed and the added weight is not helping his cardio or stamina. Klitscko is an old pro and knows all the tricks of the trade and anyone who doesn't think he would have a chance in the rematch did not watch the 1st fight between these two warriors. If Joshua comes in the rematch at around 240 lbs I think his speed and stamina might be to much for Klitscko but if he comes in the rematch at 250 lbs or heavier Wlad will have a legitimate chance to be a three time champion even though Joshua would be favored probably 60/40 or 70/30.
Ward is a great fighter who got beat in a close fight. Unfortunately In boxing when they negotiate fights the side that is awarded the promotional rights has to pay the judges out of the purse which sometimes leads to friendships as the judges are wined and dined by the head promotional group of thei fighter ther representing sometimes leads to bad decisions. Hopefully someday this changes because no matter what anyone says Kovalev won that fight against Ward no worse than 116-112.
Blame Canelo for this one men. GGG got stuck with little time for a replacement fight. Since the did not order random testing Canelo is probably juicing still to be stronger in September when he fights GGG.
Well Put! The Mexican soccer team could use Canelo because we all saw how well he RAN
Oscar is right. If Canelo wants to win, he needs to sit back against the ropes and shake his head more.
Welll put! The Mexican Soccer team could use Canelo because we all saw how well he ran in the first triple G fight. Canelo is a good fighter but he has been given several generous decisions In the past. No way did he fight Mayweather to a drawing on any legitimate score card. They Lara fight showed many of his holes as well as many people questioned whether he won the Coto fight.
In boxing The head promoter of fights has the responsibility of paying the judges. They’re not supposed to wine and dine the judges but many times top promoters have been seeing out at fancy dinners with judges. At least this time triple G knows the score that every close around will be given to Canelo who fights in 15 to 20 seconds spurts and the commentator from HBO always brag about how well he’s doing because Canelo is the top pay perview fighter in boxing.
What Oscar didn’t tell everyone is it that GGG landed more punches in 10 of the 12 rounds
In the first fight Against a fighter Canelo Who was clearly on steroids and even loaded on the Jews he couldn’t hurt triple G.
Regardless of what excuse Canelo uses he ran the majority of the last six rounds in the first fight where he wasn’t sliding from punches but rather he was laying in the ropes from pure exhaustion or running 🏃*♀️ From triple G.
Regardless of what Oscar and Canelo say when you look at Canelo’s body the failed drug test shows he’s a cheater. For the rest of history he will go down in history with a failed drug test which is no Surprise to anyone that has a functioning IQ when they look at his body changes.
Triple G is going to be fighting the judges and father time it was no surprise that three years ago Canelo bailed out of his mandatory fight with triple G and even though he may get triple G this time everyone that has a brain knows who won the fight first fight
The first fight was a real good middleweight Title fight with GGG Landing more punches in 10 of then12 rounds. If Canelo’s promoter Delayahoya wanted the rematch he would have signed it by now. Delahoya is stalling to keep his golden goose Canelo from losing again to GGG. Maybe in 2 years when GGG is fully declined from where he is now then Canelo might fight him. For everyone that says GGG was outboxed please explain how GGG landed 51 more punches than Canelo and he was outlanded by GGG in 10 of 12 rounds. As a former fighter it’s hard to land high number of punches when one guy is running like a chicken with his head cut off like Canelo did in the 2nd half of the fight. It’s obvious Delahoya knows they Got a gift or they paid a judge (Byrd) to get a draw.
Interesting fight. I like both fighters. Father Time is tricky and realize the Glock is ticking on GGG who at 36 1/2 years old has had almost 400 fights. My heart says GGG because the judges screwed him after getting paid off in the 1st fight. Canelo Lost the last fight but there were about three or four rounds had he just landed a few more punches that he probably would’ve legitimately won the fight. Looks like Canelo has leaned up and worked hard on his cardio so if I was betting money I would probably slightly lien to Canelo buy a razor thin margin. If Canelo makes the mistake of trying to slug it out with triple G With his stamina issues this fight could end up much like the first fight with Canelo running to keep from getting knocked out. Friends this fight literally it’s too close to call. Been smaller this time around will make the Canelo will not have the punching power that we might have slightly more speed. Triple G rocked Canelo several times last time and with him looking like a welterweight now I could also see a scenario where triple G forces this fight into a slugfest and Canelo runs out of gas and gets knocked out. My hearts for triple G because of the steroid issue which was obvious that Canelo was cheating when you look at his body compared to other fights and the judges who screwed him in the first fight. I can also see triple G ending up with cuts on his face which could lead to a stoppage on the other side because the powers to be in Vegas would stop the fight versus seeing their golden goose lose another fight
I agree. Wlad should not be taken lightly. Both Joshua and Klitscko can knock any heavy weight out with one punch. This fight is 60/40 in favor of Joshua but if Klitscko Wins it would not be a huge upset.
GGG Wins in a Close Fight with a knockout in one of the later rounds.
Be realistic
Canelito ain't beating Golovkin.
I agree. GGG when's in a competitive fight with light roubd knockout. Even the heavyweights who have sparred GGG talk about us punching power. According to several reports that have came out GGG dominated and knocked down former light heavyweight Kovalev in a sparring session. GGG has never been knocked down in his nearly 400 amateur and professional boxing matches. Canelo is one hell of a fighter but has come forward and trade punches style will not match up with GGG Who is the bigger and stronger of the two fighters. Able Sanchez called it right when he said can I will wear out in the later rounds from all the lever that he's going to be eating from GGG.
Joshua is a great fighter and a former Olympic Champion. I am not sure if he will be an all time great because against Klitscko who was 41 he got knocked around for several rounds by an old man. Wilder is undefeated but he hasn't faced much opposition which partly was due to Pofkin failing a drug test. Stivern is the best test that Wilder had and he did a good Job with a broken hand in that fight. Wilder has broken his hand twice in fights and I'm concerned about his durability in the long run. I think Joshua knocks out Wilder and Fury Who regrettably has substance problems and mental health issues. When athletes like Fury get on cocaine there normally never the same. Fury tested positive twice before the Klitscko fights to nandrolone which is a steroid and I will be interested in what the boxing councils going to do to him. My bet the box and cancel doesn't do anything to Fury but because they want to make a fight with Anthony Joshua which will generate even more money than the Klitschko fight made
Purity beat Klitscko who gassed out late in the fight like he did against Brewster after he had battered him in the 1st 4 rounds of the 1st fight. Wlad if pushed gets tired. For 11 years no one made him go toe to toe for an extended time which allowed him to stay behind his powerful left jab. Wlad gets blamed for being boring but in most of his fights the smaller heavyweights did not take the fight to him like Purity, Sanders and Brewster did who all beat him. I give Klitscko credit for being a great heavyweight in a bad area but now that The lions are out like Joshua we found out that Klitschko is a great fighter who is on the decline. Let's go could probably beat Parker and maybe Wilder but I think Joshua would more than likely get him again in a rematch. I gave Klitschko a punchers chance in a rematch with Joshua who also showed a little vulnerability in the first fight against an old but skilled heavyweight
GGG beat Canelo in a great fight. I liked Oscar as a fighter but not as a promoter. The fans want a rematch but Delahoya does not want his golden goose to lose again even though the corrupt judges scored it a draw last time that will affect canelo’s future earning potential. As fans were going to be stuck with Canelo fighting a few B level fighters for some easy cash. Delahoya May give us a rematch when GGG is an old man. Delahoya is hoping GGG loses a fight so his golden goose won’t have to fight him again.
GGG is the best middleweight since Bernard Hopkins. I like Canelo a lot he is a Hell of a fighter. In two or three years from now if rhey fight again I would predict Canelo in the rematch by a close decision because in two years trip we will be 37 years old and father time is undefeated.
