What is this thing with these rematch clauses? I really think immediate rematches should be done when a decision was controversial...
...like the dubious home-cooked decision to gift Fabio a stoppage win over a clearly still on his feet and slipping punches Joseph Parker.
...and had he not dramatically knocked out Justis Huni from a losing position in 2025 ?
The answer is NO.
Wardley did NOT dramatically knock Huni out. He dropped him on a lucky punch cos Huni got loose.
Huni was then given a quick count and on his feet before the ref stopped it
And why no mention of Joseph Parker's egregious early stoppage to Wardley by said Howard Foster when Parker had not been dropped ?
Parker was nowhere near the state Wardley was in from round 7 vs Dubois...
... go through a few of the B level competition like Parker, Okolie, Gassiev, before stepping up to Fury or Kabayel.
Parker would do him like a dog's dinner and Fury is a step down.
The Big Doobie ends the myth of the Giant Gypsy Sausage!
The heavyweights post-Klitschko (cheaters) are better, but they lack activity, because they aim at the lowest risk-highest reward fights, except if the fight is inevitable (too big), even though they sometimes escape even such.
The Mighty Oilskin Parker says hold my beer...
Parker wasn't clearly 100%, he was doing coke lines the week before.
Still reckon someone musta spiked his kool-aid but he was pretty drunk on it already, thinking he could bäng out Fabby with no rematch clause.
Parker and Wardley need to run it back. That was as entertaining a fight as any. Me thinks Doobie has Fabby's number now, like he had Clark's or Usyk has his.
Joseph Parker has to be absolutely kicking himself for losing to The Amazing Fabian The UK Hedge Fund Manager.
A bit of Karma with Fabby going later than he should have while Parker was stopped by the ref early.
Such is life in the U.K's home-cooked back yard.
Still don't get the Parker narrative. Was he so confident of not getting pinged or thought even on the nose beers he'd flatten Fabby or was there some skulduggery involved...whatevs!
I'd like to see Doobie vs Oilskin now.
I wanna see T2, Teremoana Twice give Backdoor Jellylove a pro beating.
Lighter gloves, no head gear, none of the Olympic amateur bullshit they both have history with.
A step up fight to see if either deserves to get in the mix for title shots.
Put Itauma in with Parker.
If he can't best or flatten The Mighty Oilskin he doesn't have a shïtshow against The Big Doobie!
Parker is after all just a flat footed, feather fisted cöke fiend. What could possibly go wrong ?
Doobie wobbles him in 6 and sparks him in 7...
Doobie wobbled him in the 6th and dunno how Fabby survived the 7th...
Fabbys face was a burger patty by the end. Hate myself for enjoying the violence of it all.
Well played both guys!
Hahahaha what an effin clown. With Jai losing his belt he has nothing to offer to Benavidez. He can enjoy fighting milkmens on Zuffa for the rest of his career
If Benavidez is serious about legacy he can't afford to duck Jai and if zuffa/turki can't stump up to make the fight there's no reason for Jai to stick with them.
Well fought DB. Showed Zurdo whos boss!
Woulda been choice if Jai had been there and stepped in the ring to call Benavidez out cos it seems Dave is too chickenshït to even mention Opetaia.
That would be a great fight!
Fabio is like the Marciano of our times. Humble, knows his limitations, looks a bit crude, takes a beating, looks well out of his depth but always takes their soul at the end.
Wouldn't be surprised if his punch resistance has decreased since Oilskin smashed him up pretty good.
Yeah Parker copped a beating too but Fabby was wobbled on at least 2 occasions.
If Doobie buzzes him and smells blood it'll be lights out, nighty nite Fabby...
Fair enough, and apologies if I offended. My grandmother emigrated to Australia in the 1920s from Aotearoa, but I had no opportunity to learn much from her. Blessings be.
Allgood...it takes a lot to offend me.
I'm still in AO/NZ. All them learnings are still here waiting for ya!
T2 has got a score to settle with Jelly now they both in the pro ranks. I'd pick Teremoana twice just cos...
Hope they get it on sooner rather then later. It'd be a good test to see if either are worth the price of admission to the higher echelons.
Usyk has become once a year fighter and he doesn`t even take challenges anymore.
Then make him an offer he can't refuse, like the camel racer did for his sloppy seconds, Fury and Joshua, or strip him of more belts and email them to whomever.
He's obviously got better things to do than whatever others want him to do.
Parker and Huni should fight in the Battle of the hard done by Islanders. Winner gets a years supply of Taro.
That'd be great on the undercard of Usyk's sloppy seconds, Fury v Joshua.
Except, Parker owns the plantation. Taro as a prize won't cut it.
A years supply of KFC ?...now we're serious in negotiation!
It's not irrelevant if your guy is not fighting at his best. If you look at the last round, Parker wasn't fighting back, and he wasn't really defending himself. Parker didn't hold in this fight, and that was his issue. He held in the Zhang and Wilder fights as part of his defense. He didn't do that in this fight. We was hurt in the 105h and finished in the 11th. When a man is not defending himself, you have to stop the fight. Parker was getting hit with enough big shots to stop the fight, and he looked out on his feet.
Looks can be deceptive. The thing is, he was still on his feet, wasn't out and was slipping enough punches that Wardley never hit him clean enough to drop him.
Who knows what would have happened if the ref hadn't cooked the result by stepping in when he did.
I'm picking Parker woulda rallied one last time to put Fabby, who had emptied his tank, away.
It's contentious enough to be worthy of a rematch.
At the end of the day, Parker wasn't in proper shape to win and was gassed very early in the fight, and he was buzzed several times. I was a Parker fan going into that fight, but it was a big letdown, especially after testing positive for coke. He was prepared for the fight, and he lost. Say what you want about Fabio. but he kept coming and trying, and he has a lot of heart. I would take that over a cokehead any day.
At the end of the day, the ref stopped the fight without Parker getting dropped to favour the hometown guy in a result that led to an email belt for Fabby.
Not fücking good enough. The cöke is irrelevant.
I don't even think Parker would be eligible for a rematch, mate.
Don't see why not. He's not banned as far as i know and the marching powder ain't performance enhancing.
I think it's more Fabby has dropped nuts and doesn't back himself to drop or stop Parker for a legit win.
That wasn't home-cooking. Parker was done. He wasn't in the best shape, and the coke habit didn't help.
Wardley wasn't in much better shape. He'd punched himself out and still couldn't drop Parker.
We were denied a legitimate finish to a meaningful contest when the home cooked ref stopped the fight early.
And now we have Fabby poncing around like he straight up won a belt, too chickenshït to even mention Parker's name or return the favour with a rematch to remove any doubt of his *win.
To be fair, everyone at the top is just sitting around and waiting for the perfect fight. There Even Agit is waiting. I give Wardley lots of props for trying to hone his craft. It's a shame that the alphabet boys are letting these guys hold the belts hostage. Guys like Usyk, Fury and Joshua are strictly prize-fighters now who only care about money instead of glory. The younger guys have been waiting for years for a shot, only to get passed by old kickboxers. It's really a shame what the heavyweight division has come to.
The Mighty Oilskin Parker seems to have been the last of the heavies not content to sit back and wait Usyk out when he decided to give Fabby a shot.
Shame he got dïcked by Weirdley, fisheyes and a home cooked ref. Disgusting!
