Buddy was fighting with an injury against Taylor by the way, just so thats understood. Buddy had excellent power, excellent technique, excellent chin and excellent reflexes as a jww. As a ww, he was also excellent but as a jww he was really outstanding. He was also clever.

See? This shows he just is there to stay, unless he gets totally destroyed and knocked out. There is no way in hell ANY fighter gets a decision against him, even if he totally disfigured his face and bashed him for 12 rounds. And JMM is not just any fighter, mind you, his reputation and popularity and overall aclaim is second to only those two clowns who are considered p4p no.1 and 2. Actually, JMM was nr.2 in popularity before this fight since Lil Boy Floyd was dealt a crushing blow after that Ortiz fight and that disgraceful interview with Merchant. So, what did we find out? A: we found out Marquez is Pacman's kryptonite and B: we found out Marquez is not favored by the judges in these superfights.

I scored the fight a draw. But I must say Katsidis looked far from his old self. His movement was sluggish and his punches were sloppy and unprecise, lacked sharpness. He did manage to land two or three good combinations, but he had problems penetrating Bums' defence. And btw, FUK BURNS/BUMS! That ugly bum had a great height and reach advantage, it was an unfair fight, a mismatch! All he had to do was stretch his arms to hit Katsidis and then lay against the ropes and cover his face up like a bitx. Unfair fight. But Katsidis is obviously on the slide, remember last year when he destroyed Mitchell in 3 rounds?? This was just a shell of that Katsidis.

I was watching the Kirkland fight and I noticed how Angulo has some Irish/British features, plus he's lightskinned. And notice how his very name resembles the word "Anglo". ANGULO=ANGLO. But I know there is quite significant number of Irishmen in Mexico. President Alvaro Obregon was part Irish, so was Anthony Quinn. He may be descended from an Englishman or Irishman or even an Anglo-Irishman. Seriously, does anybody know if Angulo is a "normal" Spanish name or could it have come from the word Anglo? I know Celts and Germanic tribes have lived in Spain and Basques seem to have a connection with the Celts.

Would a rematch at the higher weight be better, since Angulo seems to have problems making 154? He sure looked in bad shape and punched himself out after 2 minutes.:nonono: As good as this fight was, it wasn't as good as it could have been had Angulo been in better shape. Who agrees? On other hand, Im not sure if Kirkland would want to fight at 160 right now. But why not? He looks strong, he's surely not a small jmw.

I think he can. He's much more experienced and can both box and punch. Povetkin looked awful against Chagaev and if he doesn't get his act togther, he just may get thrashed by an oldie.

Has everyone forgoten about ZSOLT?? There is no mention him in the next potential megafights at 175. As far as i know hes still campaigning there. He's 5'10, he can never be a serious cruiserweight. Neither Cleverly, Dawson, Cloud or any other champion or serious contender are mentioning him as their potential opponent. Yet as I understand, he still holds the LINEAL championship, no?

He always talked about himself as a warrior. Everybody admired his longevity and toughness, esp after the Pascal fights. But it was clear all along that he never wanted anything to do with Dawson or any other fighter like him, only action fighters with no ring iq. Guys he could use his enormous experience against. Well, now it seems the world has gotten to know Bhop's other side, his real side. Each time he stepped into the ring with a fighter who was both younger and equally talented, he lost. He arguably lost to Winky as well, who wasn't so young at 36. I believe from now on many will know him under his new nickname-Chicken Bernard.:D

Where does he go from here? I think it was a bad decision to go back to 122, it obviously isn't his best weight anymore. He should go back to 126 and try to get one more big fight against someone like Salido, Juanma or someone like that and then retire.

I'm convinced Helenius can beat him. Vitali just looked too open and if Adamek had Helenius' size and power, he coulda hurt him bad. Thats what Helenius is gonna do, if he gets the fight. On the other hand, its likely gonna be a rough fight for both men, physically. Don't get me wrong, Vitali looked good tonight, for his size and all. But he's in no way unbeatable for a guy like Helenius.

These 3 so-called Afro-American p4p greats, along with Steve Cunningham are about to get exposed for what they are-more or less ordinary or not extraordinary. Its really sad when you think that they, along with Mayweather are the main representatives of AA boxing today. Only bright spot right now is Mike Jones and even he has yet to be tested properly. Ok, Tavoris Cloud is very good but he doesn't get talked about nearly as much as Bradley, Ward or Mayweather. Kirkland was supposed to be the REAL star among em, but now...dunno, REAL stars dont get ktfo by a Japanese with 8 kos on his record in 1 round. He is still a capable fighter but this proved he is def vulnerable. Dawson? Dawson may get redeemed if he beats Bhop impressively and I'm not sure he will. I do think he'll win, but not without struggling.

Karoly "Karesz" Balzsay has returned to the scene on 26th of August, defeating Stanyslav Kashtanov (28-0 previously) by SD to capture the "regular" WBA 168 title. Whats in store for him? I guess now he's eligible to fight whoever wins the Froch-Ward showdown, in future at least. Ward is the SUPER champion of WBA, if he remains that then he's bound to give Balzsay a fight. But I'd first like to see Balzsay rematch Stieglitz and then if he wins he can ponder on something bigger.

What do you think about Jesse Vargas? He's young and promising, gonna fight Josesito Lopez on the Mayweather-Ortiz undercard. I hope he can add more excitement to the jww division.:boxing:

Yep. Earlier I thought he looked smug, but now I'm starting to take to him. He's tough, can take some beating, has good technique and movement and can punch as well. His last fight against Roman was impressive, he took some punishment and was down, but came back in grand style.:boxing: I hope he can give Angulo a run for his money, that would be a gr8 fight!:headbang:

I think they might. But I wouldn't be sad if the first 2 lost their fights, I actually hope they do. Gamboa is however the most sure bet in this trio to win his fight. I just don't see Ponce De Leon beating him. If Ortiz, JMM and DeLeon all lose their fights, its gonna be a major blow to the Mexicans and a setback as well, after all the successes this year.
