This has been one of the funniest threads in ages. Floydiots actually getting upset/furious about this lady not knowing he he is. You couldnt make it up!!!:lol1:
No one is furious though...a thread like this getting up to 25+ pages is just a testament to Floyd's greatness.
There could probably be a 50+ page thread on him ordering a Big Mac at at a McDonalds.
WTF? no she doesnt know him period. this has nothing to do with Khan... She doesnt know him, this is not to bash Mayweather by saying she likes exciting fights, its just most exciting fighters are KO artist like Tyson and apart from tyson no one is that world famous.
There`s no way for her to know if Floyd is a KO artist if she doesn`t know him. So why would she say she only watches exciting fight? Shes clearly implying that Floyd isnt exciting. Put 2 and 2 together.
A woman who really doesn`t know another person wouldnt go out of her way to be on camera and consistently repeating ''I dont know you, I dont know you', i only like exciting fighters''
How are you butthurt? Oh, I dunno....perhaps its that you came in crying because you claimed the woman was 'hating'(cringe) on floyd only to get laughed at and torn to shreds by everyone. It didnt get any better when you, in what can only be assumed was an act of complete desperation and ineptitude, tried to make some wierd point about nobody knowing Novak Djokovic which quickly escalated in you actually trying to present figures to prove that floyd was more famous than him!
I would say that plainly illustrates a skip load of butthurt.:lol1:
you would have a very good point if i actually cried...or if i actually said that nobody knows Djokovic. But i didnt. So your argument is invalid. Come again with some real facts instead of trying to make up stuff.
Pac still 2-1-1 and your point? Pacman was winning the fight but got caught with a counter after going for the kill in the fight, something Floyd will never do. He wants to win by decision even if the fight is out of reach.
What we know is that Marquez faced both Mayweather and Pacquiao and when he was asked which one is better he said it was Floyd...right in front of Manny
Lmao, if you read his other comments, you would've seen that he's Serbian, like Djokovic. Goes to show you that even Chavez who hasn't fought in a long while has more influence to people of other countries than Mayweather.
And that Forbes list you put up, well Novak Djokovic was on there. Btw it also said he has lucrative endorsement deals with Seiko and Peugeot. So even if people don't follow tennis have probably seen him in car and watch commercials. How many commercials has Mayweather been on? How many people that don't watch or follow boxing seen Mayweather on anything that doesn't have to do with boxing? And no TMZ, WWE and Think Like a Man Too don't count.
Hmm maybe thats how you interpret it. I personally think it just means he prefers Julio Chavez JR fighting style over Floyd. And theres nothing wrong with that as Chavez is a legend and one of the biggest name in the sport. That doesnt mean he has more influence worldwide though.
And yes Djokovic was on that Forbes list, ranked at the bottom but its still pretty good to even have his name on there. Here's another list by Forbes of the top 100 celebrities of 2014: http://www.forbes.com/pictures/mfl45ejlhf/no-7-floyd-mayweather-jr-2/
Lol at Mayweather and his idiot Flowmow conspiracy theorists. As much as Mayweather would have everyone believe, including himself, he's not that known world wide.
He doesn't come close to the likes of Ali, Tyson, Holyfield.
The Klitschkos(Europe, Russia,Germany and the rest of the eastern bloc) and Pacquio (Asia and especially China) are known to more people than Mayweather.
Mayweather isn't even the top ten most famous athelete in the world.
Cristiano Ronaldo
Messi
Usain Bolt
LeBron
Roger Federer
Kobe
Beckham
Djokovic
Tiger Woods
All more well known world wide than Mayweather.
He needs to stfu about 'oh I make more money than anyone else, so you should know me' nonsense. Stfu moron, there's more to being popular than money, it's about people liking you and being exciting in your profession. And being readily accessible to viewers, like being on commercials and advertisements. Something Mayweather has never been on.
Djokovic who?? lol at you thinking hes more well known than Floyd :lol1:
And most of the people that know who Pacquiao is have also heard of Floyd.
The funniest part is all the haters in this thread thinking Floyd was mad at the lady. He was just joking around in that clip. Theres nothing that screams anger in that clip
Not if it's Mayweather. :lol1:
His hand probably took the tail end of the beating though. :haha:
Yup. The baby mama was the one who should have done jail time. By the way i see that most of the names in your signature received an ass whooping from Floyd. You mad or nah?
It surprises me not, your inability to see the fundamental difference between someone taking the piss royally, for fun, out of a bunch of whiny, butthurt, fruity fanboys getting upset because someone didnt recognise floyd and a fanboy who actually sounds like they would gladly use their tongue as toilet paper for floyd and his entourage.:lol1:
How am i butthurt though? you keep repeating that over and over yet you fail to see that Floyd himself wasnt even upset in this video. Pretty much anyone that doesnt have blind hate for Floyd could see that he was just fooling around with the lady.
Oh god that made me cringe...
Why are people surprised that he's not a household name in the UK? I'd be surprised if hes a household name in the US... he's not some ultra famous celebrity is he really, hes just an American celebrity, not a global one
Only people who really follow boxing know who Mayweather is, and a lot of UK fans probably don't care or know much about the guy.
I think i've personally met more brits who know who Pacquiao is, because of his destruction of Hatton with 1 memorable punch. But thats only my experience
Did i ever mention that hes a household in the UK? i just said hes more famous than Djokovic. Only people who follow Tennis really know who he is. And even there hes not even in the top 4 biggest names in his own sport.
Typical floyd cherry pick. Let see what advantages floyd had over marqez.
Foot speed, hand speed, arm reach and weight. Funny how floyd never fights opponents that he doest have a full complete advantage over and when he did he looked like crap.
Floyd has/had those advantages over pretty much anyone in his weight class though...So you basically saying that no matter who Floyd chooses its gonna be a cherry pick
congrats on the win. I thought the opposing corner stopped it kinda early though. You would have most likely stopped him down the stretch anyway. Other guy looked too tense and was fighting to squared up
Where are you fighting from? i didnt know they stopped wearing headgear in amateurs now
So you think Ricky Hatton wasn't loved in the UK after losing to Mayweather?
You are completely out of touch.
That wasnt even the main point of my post but keep trying to switch subjects. How is Djokovic more well known than Mayweather? Give me some stats or facts to back up that claim.
Ricky Hatton was still loved in the UK of course he just wasnt the same fighter after that, the hype died down a bit and his undefeated record was gone.
Listen, Djokovic is one of the most famous athletes in the world. I don't care what google says. Travel a little and talk to people and see who they know.
Nadal, Djokovic, Federer thats picking at straws...All three of them are more globally known then Mayweather.
**** man, I've been around Mexico and two years ago 8/10 Mexicans didn't know who the **** Mayweather was. They all knew Pac.
If you are from Europe then you will know that no one knows Mayweather either, both Klitschkos are by far the more known fighters in mainland Europe East or West. Its enough to bring up "Ukraine" and people say "Oh Klitschko Klitschko"
Provide me with stats proving otherwise. And don't give me twitter.
Lol at you making up stats now to prove your argument 8/10 mexicans dont know Mayweather yet they all know Pacquiao? Okay...
We gonna act like all of Mexico wasn't behind Oscar De la Hoya and Canelo Alvarez when they were fighting Floyd? Boxing is one of the biggest sport in Mexico but yet they somehow missed the 2 highest selling fights of all time?
And i already gave you some real facts to backup my argument. Wether you check the followers on twitter, facebook, instagram, etc. Floyd has the Joker beat everytime. Including the google searches and hits: https://www.google.ca/?gws_rd=ssl#q=most+famous+athletes+worldwide
Currently i live in Canada and i can tell you that no one here knows who Djokovic is. Tennis simply isnt a big sport here. And it isnt even a top 5 sport in the US either. Probably isnt that big in South America or even Africa either because its a ''rich people's sport''
You came into this thread not believing this person didn't know who Mayweather was. That ended up into whatever stupid argument you're involved in now, all because you really think Mayweather is some huge international superstar.
Where did i say that bolded part? Dont try to put words in my mouth to help your argument.
http://smashingtopten.com/top-10-most-famous-athletes-of-2014/sports
That list is is irrelevant though. No Federer but somehow theres Rory Mcilroy, Sebastien Vittel and Tim tebow ranked ahead of him? lol. This has 0 credibility
Here's a Forbes link which is a way more reputable source: http://www.forbes.com/pictures/mli45ejhhl/lebron-james-13/
What does her accent have to do with anything? She probably worked at the barbershop or something. There aren't just people assigned all over the world to randomly provoke Floyd Mayweather. Get a grip.
Not everyone has to know who Mayweather is. I'd say she was around my mum's age and I don't think my mum would know Mayweather either. She knows who Mike Tyson is though.
She clearly knew who he was. Notice how she said she likes exciting fights as a way to diss Floyd implying his fights aren't exciting. This is something that most of his haters use to bash him.
And then she goes on to ask him which is his biggest fight? A woman who doesnt follow boxing wouldnt even ask that question because even if he named his best win she wouldnt know who the other guy is. Thats another thing used by Floyd haters to hate on his resume.
She probably mad Floyd refused to give Khan a fight in the UK
Lol, you and oldmoney MUST BE UNDERCOVER PACQUIAO FANS WHO ARE JUST TRYING TO MAKE FLOYD FANS LOOK LIKE STUPID GROUPIES, THERE IS NO OTHER EXPLANATION FOR YOUR STUPIDITY AND BUTTHURTNESS
You better not get involved in this bruh. Step back. Are you mexican by any chance or is that just your avatar? i heard 80% of you guys dont even know Floyd so stay out of this thread.
A middle aged Jamaican woman in London is a "hater". Phuckin haterz! :lol1:
Whats so funny? Are you trying to say its impossible to hate Floyd if you're a jamaican woman? News flash: Not only white people hate Floyd. I know plenty of middle aged moms/dads who hate Floyd because of his arrogance and bad boy persona. And they never even saw a full fight of his
If you aren't here to discuss his personal life then why are you in a thread defending his actions against women, which happen to be in his personal life? I don't seem to understand your logic.
...Maybe you read the thread title wrong or are you responding on the wrong thread? This has nothing to do with Floyd's ''actions'' against women. If you wanna discuss what happened between Floyd and his baby mama 3-4 years ago then maybe you should make a thread about it. Like i said he did a crime and did the jail time for it. What else do you want? A death sentence?
I feel so sorry for your unabashed ignorant bias. You are putting yourself to shame with comments of such sheer stupidity. Please take out Tupac from your sig. I have high regards for him, and because you are connecting yourself to him, you are putting him to shame.
what was stupid in that post? the only thing stupid is you thinking that i can somehow put a rap legend that died almost 20 years ago to shame by commenting on a Floyd thread. As if i somehow have the power to influence the way Pac is perceived
''Connecting yourself to him''... :pat:
I think my description was fairly accurate, sunshine. Those(sorry floyd!) with the ability to read would agree.:fing02:
Nah your description is inaccurate sweetie. Show me a single quote of me saying nobody knows who Djokovic is. You read the whole thread and quoted all of my posts so it surely shouldnt be too hard for you to find.
You went to the trouble of reading all 9000 of my posts? I dont know whether I should be flattered or freaked out.:ugh:
Says the guy who read the whole thread to quote all of my posts...lol
Like i said he lives rent free in your head.
Son, you really haven't been outside of US have you?
Well, let me tell you something.
Djokovic is currently one of the most famous athletes in the world.
And let me tell you something else...Pacquiao is the most famous active boxer in the world.
Im not even from the US though...have been there only twice in my life actually. I was born in Europe for your interest.
And let me tell you something else...Federer is more well known that Djokovic. Actually so is Nadal and the Williams sisters too, prolly even Sharapova. And if you go back to the late 90's until mid 2000's you have names like Sampras, Agassi, Hewitt, Hingis, Roddick, etc.
You really should remove your tongue from Floyd's rusty sheriff's badge. Pass the fooking sickbag!:puke:
All of your 9000+ posts on this site are arguing/hating on Floyd and his fanbase. Even your signature is dedicated to him. You like to talk about Floyd more than you like to talk about your favorite fighter. Even if its just a short video of Floyd joking around in a barbershop with a lady. Its just hilarious.
The guy is literally living rent free in your head :lol1:
I live in an upper class suburban neighborhood. But's that's not what I'm here to discuss. I'd rather discuss why you think it's OK for Floyd to treat women this way and why you guys would rather defend his actions then to show disgust.
Who is ''you guys'' ? and whos defending his actions? he did the crime and did jail time for it. Im not here to gossip about his personnal life. This is a boxing forum.
Also living in a suburban neighborhood would make you one of those urban guys you were referring to
This is hilarious. This guy can't handle that there are a lot of people who don't know and don't give a f*ck who Floyd Mayweather Jr. is.
What's hilarious is your reading skills. They probably worse than Floyd's :D. Nowhere in the quoted posted do i deny there's alot of people that dont know who Floyd is. My point was simply that theres plenty of people who dont know and dont give a f*ck about Djokovic either. Currently hes not even a top 4 name in his own sport
Agreed, I guarantee that the "big four" (Federer, Djokovic, Nadal and Murray) are more famous and known by more people around the world than Mayweather.
Any facts to back it up?
Go on google and type the most frequently mentionned athletes on the web and you wont see Djokovic`s name before Mayweathers. Fact is most people who dont follow tennis dont know who he is either. And Murray is only a big name because hes UK`s favorite. Just like Ricky Hatton was before being knocked out by Floyd
Wow I'm shocked you even knew who most of them even are. You seem like one of those urban guys that only follows guys like Broner and Floyd. Maybe you aren't as clueless as you appear.
:pat:
If i seem like the type of guy who follows those 2 fighters then obviously i would know who they faced and whooped. Come again.
Not sure what you mean by urban guys though. You live in a village or forest?
1) No they didn't know. They watched the fight and forgot who the American guy he fought against was. "Mayweather? Which one was that? That black American guy? Which one."
It takes more then a fight to make a name stick. When the name sticks that's when you are a global star/star.
And I said two years, maybe now after Canelo they know him as the guy who fought De La Hoya and Marquez.
Twitter/Instagram/Facebook....thanks. Thats what I figured and that is all I wanted to know.
So twitter roughly used by 20% of Internet users. With US second to China with over 10% of global internet users. More than double that of the next in line.
Do the math and see how insignificant one's twitter following is as a mark of your global celebrity?
Also any idea how much something like twitter can skew search engine results? Every time there is a tweat which is then grows exponentially by re-tweets etc
Buddy I live in Toronto, and have for the last 13 years. A good half of my friends knows who Federer Nadal and Djokovic are and everyone knows the Williams sisters, and they are far from rich. And this is from a circle of friends who are immigrants from all over the place who don't even watch hockey. Stereotypical common Canadian knows more about tennis then you might think.
Milos Raonic is talked about all over TSN/CBC/CITY TV, outside of NHL players he is probably the most recognizable athlete in Canada! And he plays tennis.
We have the Rogers Cup for Christs sake...
It ain't hockey but everyone knows tennis.
And lastly I don't need to give you any stats. It's all common sense really.
Boxing even though a global is still a minor sport. So the chances of any boxer what so ever being known globally on a significant scale is very slim. So Mayweather being an American boxer who only fights in US and has zero endorsements is pretty much zero.
Tennis is a huge sport world wide, in Europe and in America and in South America. So just about any tennis player will be more known than a boxer, and the elite tennis players will most defentely take up the ranks of some of the most recognized names globally from any sport.
You're kidding yourself if you think Mexicans dont know who Mayweather is...If it was simply ''that black american guy'' it wouldn't be one of the biggest and highest selling fight of all time. They knew Mayweather was a big name and a threat to De La Hoya. It had nowhere near as much hype with the mexican crowd when De La Hoya was fighting Mosley, Whitaker or Hopkins. Lets be serious now.
And forget about twitter/facebook, etc if you want to just take a look at the hits on google which is a worlwide site.
And like i said you cant use your own experience as a fact. I've been in Canada for the past 13 years too (7 years in Ottawa and 6 in Montreal) Most of my friends knew Roger Federer even if they didnt follow tennis. Most of them didnt know Djokovic though. His name is just not on the same level as other tennis players like Williams sisters, Sharapova, etc.
Saying tennis is huge in Canada is an overstatement. It comes behind basketball, soccer, baseball, football and hockey.
How is Milos Raonic more well known than Jean Pascal or Superman Stevenson in Canada? Let alone George St-Pierre or Steve Nash. Maybe even add Christine Sinclair to that group too.
